My husband and I decided to stop by Sweedish Hill on our E-bike ride. When we walked in at around 3:45 there was a short wait to order as there were a few people in front of us. They have a menu with Soups, Salads, Sandwiches, Rotisserie, Bagels, Toasts, and Breakfast Items. They also have a drink menu with Coffee, Tea, Juice, Wine, Cocktails, Beer, and a few non alcoholic drinks. They also have Daily Bread that you could buy. We were kindly greeted and asked what we wanted. We decided to try pastries. We ordered one Everything Croissants, one Buckwheat and Jam Scone, one Kouign Amann, and two Ham and Gruyere Croissant. The Ham and Gruyere Croissant was good. The Croissant was crispy and light. The ham was plentiful and the cheese was melted inside. The combination of the Ham and Gruyere cheese made for a delightful sandwich. The Kouign Amann was delicious. My husband and I agreed that it was our favorite. It had a sweet but not overly sweet flavor. It was soft and flaky with a hint of butter. A delicious combination of ingredients. The Buckwheat Jam Scone was really sweet. The Buckwheat tasted grainy but the jam was super sweet. A yummy combination of ingredients. The Everything Croissant was soft with flaky, layers and the top was covered in seeds. The seeds gave the crossaint texture and the seasoning gave it flavor. Overall it was a good place to stop. The service was decent and the pastries were good. We will return in the future to try other menu items.

Everything Croissant, Cinnamon Roll, Americano

Swedish Hill has finally arrived at Westlake and... it's aite. I had high hopes for the new location of this popular bakery and even went back a second time to confirm my thoughts. On my first visit, I ordered the Loyal Forever Bowl. The salad was super acidic with large amounts of pickles and vinaigrette, which could've been balanced out with some dry or crunchier ingredients. I'm not even sure if mine came with the charred cauliflower, tbh. Too overpriced at $16, especially when Flower Child is just minutes away. On my next visit, I decided to switch things up and try their pastries and coffee. Unfortunately, the cinnamon roll was served cold and the Americano tasted more like coffee flavored tea -- way too much water. The seasoning of the everything croissant was v tasty, but the pastry itself was stale and didn't have that crispy/flaky bite. To end on a more positive note, the cafe is very aesthetic and surrounded by cute boutiques and local businesses. Despite the long lines, service is also pretty quick and we found seating both times. Maybe third time's a charm and our next trip to Swedish Hill will be more successful!

chicken salad pesto sandwich and avocado toast

Love this location because parking is easy and free (unlike their other locations in town). The staff is very nice and kept the line moving especially during lunch rush. There's a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating. I loved my chicken salad pesto sandwich and my friend loved her avocado toast. I ordered my sandwich toasted and it came out perfect. There was a lot of pesto but would rather them be generous than skimp! Not pictured but their chocolate chip cookies are to die for!! There's so much chocolate! Don't skip on these.

It's fine. It's a cute location and all, and the people who work there are super friendly. I actually really like their swedish iced coffee which has like coconut and oat milk (im usually a black cold brew guy). I got the egg salad sandwich which was fine. The bagel was like pretty hard so made it tough to eat. $14 for egg salad on a bagel (yes it has bacon but they forgot my bacon but were so nice about it and made up for it) really takes down the rating. Like, $10 sure. Pastry was also fine, but my main thing are the prices for the food. There's not really a reason for it to be so expensive or else it would be a solid 4 star joint. I'd probably return but there's other options in Westlake (maybe not for the vibe though so there's that)- like for bagel sandwichs a Brueggers or Einsteins is better..I think there's a Summer Moon not so far away also....not sure about pastries..i would probably come by and have the coffee again and just chill there while thinking about the cool stuff to get at Breed & Co, and then hit up Baldinuccis for pizza or the McDonalds - I really love that Westlake McDonalds! Anyway, so Swedish HIll is a fine option and all, especially for the Westlake crowd. Like, I *love* Abby Jane and pony up for their pastries and baked goods for a reason, but not sure I want to here. And for the egg salad sandwich - I really like the one at Local Foods on 2nd street - that one is even more expensive, like $16..but its different and really awesome so I would probably still get that one. But I get it, it's the ambiance at Swedish Hill and it's an elevated experience. yada yada

Nice lunch spot. My friend and I both enjoyed our lunches. We both had half chicken with great sides.

I usually place a phone to-go order but it is a great place for a quick lunch or laid-back meal. The food is ready when promised. They have a very large menu with lots of options. My go-to is the Choice Sandwich with 1/3 of a pound of finest Choice Slice Honey Ham, cheddar, lettuce, tomato, red onion, dirty mustard and mayo, served on a toasted fresh baked bun. I usually add avocado for a nice creamy texture. This is one of my favorite sandwiches because it is served warm with the bun toasted and it hits the spot with the flavorful ham and all the toppings. If you are a new customer they will offer you a sampler plate where you can try all of their homemade side dishes. Some of my favorite are the shells and cheese and ham bone soup. Overall, a reliable choice if you're craving a hearty, well-made sandwich. I will continue to come back for more of the delicious ham!

I was really craving a great salad, so I decided to go in. At first you walk up and order, and then the clerk at the front, like all other places turns the screen around and says "One last question", and then stares at you, while you read their 3 tipping options. So you're standing there, guilted into tipping, by an individual that only pressed a couple of buttons, only to have the kitchen get your order wrong. At an establishment like this, it would be nice if you could tip at the end, after the whole experience, instead of out of obligation at the beginning, because you have an individual begging for it. Anyways. So after I ordered I waited, only to get a $20 salad that had 4 small pieces of chicken and with the Miso dressing which I didn't order. I ordered the Lemon Avocado Vinaigrette which came with no snap peas, when I ordered extra. Then when I finally was able to flag someone down and tell them what had happened, she said "Ok" and went back and got a bowl of snap peas. No "I'm sorry" or "Let us remake it" I wouldn't have had them remake it because I hate wasting food.....but what I hate more is feeling like crap, undervalued and unappreciated. Where was the customer service? If you want a great salad, go here......but don't expect to get what you ordered, after you've been strong armed into tipping, and when you bring it up, expect an eye roll like you're inconveniencing them. I think I'll be taking all my Rollingwood women's group friends, to the new spot for a try......Sweet Green in the HEB parking lot.....or I'll go into HEB and buy a whole rotisserie chicken for $6 and a bag of salad for another $4 and go enjoy two salads at home. For such a casual place, y'all sure act uppity, entitled and as if, you're serving Grey Poupn on top of a Grade A slab of Prime Rib.

Our take-home bags included: * Two pieces of cheesy garlic bread * Salad * Dessert * Lasagna or pizza Everything was absolutely delicious. (Although I'll admit--I wish there had been a non-chocolate dessert option... I know, I'm the odd one out!) LOL! Maybe that was the universe telling me to skip dessert! Huge thank you to Marye's Gourmet Pizza for making the teachers at Bridge Point Elementary feel so appreciated and well-fed. We are grateful!
