The price we paid was the best we found. And not only that, the job they did was beautiful and surprisingly fast! It's a dream come true for us, as we've wanted a landscaped backyard for a long time. I am appalled at the other ineptitude of this company and complete destruction of my yard. I reached out to them to help make my yard look better. We just bought a home and are working hard to get things in order. The grass was reasonably green but a little patchy and too dry in some places so and we thought they could help. Nothing could have prepared me for the complete wreckage I found left in my ruined yard today. The pictures can illustrate better than words, but this is the sequence of events: I contacted Marbella's and scheduled for them to come out and start mowing my yard every other week. The first time they just didn't show up. They didn't text me. They didn't call me. Little did I know that I could have dodged a bullet if I would've left it there. The second time they came out they mowed. They left patches that were between 6 inches to a foot and half high. They didn't hedge. The yard looked moderately better, but it was so uneven, and the grass was so high in certain places that it still was so bad. The third time they came out, they destroyed my entire yard. They left nothing but mud, dirt, and destruction. They even destroyed my sprinklers. I literally have chunks of pvc pipe stuck in the dirt. The grass was systematically destroyed with a pattern of pockmarks and tire skids. I don't know if my grass can possibly recover from this. When they "aerated" they aerated horizontally across the surface of the grass, destroying as much surface area as possible rather than aerating vertically into the ground. This has left inch wide and 6 inch long pockmarks EVERYWHERE. And what little grass they didn't destroy with their aeration machine their wheels destroyed with massive skidmarks. They even smashed the stones next to our door across the surface of the grass and created crater skid marks with them. I have almost no grass left. I am without words. It's a relatively dry area here. In fact, as you can see in the pictures a day or so before they came, my yard and grass was too dry and my grass was struggling to survive as it was. read more

I hired Marbella Landscaping to landscape the front and back yards of my new house in the summer of 2024. I already had a landscape design from another company and got several bids. Marbella came back with a reasonable price. They were able to start the project within about four weeks and worked continuously through the whole project. The lead worker Branden was great. He was a hard worker and very capable with hardscape, irrigation and planting. The other workers (Jose, Juan Carlos and Israel) also worked hard and did a good job. Even though it was a complicated project (retaining walls, concrete, fire pit, planter boxes, etc.), they were able to get the result we were looking for. When minor issues arose, the supervisor Franco was there to help get things resolved and even agreed to compromise on a couple of things. All in all it was a good experience. read more

Terrible Customer Service and very unprofessional company. My wife contacted Marbella, wanting to surprise me for Father's Day. They told her they were coming on Monday, so she requested time off from her job and asked someone to cover for her, only to find out they "meant" Tuesday. On Tuesday she requested more time off and another coworker to cover for her, only to find out they were No Call No Show. And when called to ask why the CS rep. treated her in a very unprofessional way. Then I came to Yelp, to read some reviews (next time I'll this first) and found out we are not the only ones and that they have been treating potential clients the same way for years. Marbella is awesome. We were very pleased with the entire process. Their team came and walked through the yard and found out what we wanted, took measurements and had the quote back to us so quick. When they were able to star the yard they were done within a few days and they did our entire front and back yard landscaping. There were minor changes along the way and they happily accommodated and worked with us to get exactly what we wanted. The thing we were the most pleased with was their customer service, punctuality and communication. They were always friendly, always showed up around 8:30 or 9 each day and the day they were unable to make it because of weather they texted to let us know they would not come that day. We would use them again for any landscaping needs and recommend them frequently to neighbors because of the great experience we had with them. read more

Wanted Christmas lights on my house this past year and I called multiple companies and most were out of the desired Christmas colors and they had 3 week waiting lists. I called Marbella and Franco the manager showed me a different shape of Christmas light that he is fully stocked in red and white and was able to install them that same week, super fast and very professional and they also took them back down for us at the end of the season so definitely a 5 star experience in the customer service department. Franco and his crew came out and did a phenomenal job with our hardscaping and landscaping! I hired them to install sprinklers, add some greenery, rocks, a patio and to remove mulch and replace it with rocks. Franco is very attentive to details and asked questions I didn't even consider so he could get the full scope of the project. It took them only a couple days to get it all done and they didn't leave the job until everything was perfect. Franco even spent hours on a holiday (weekend too) to make sure the sprinklers were working EXACTLY as they should with no issues or leaks. Probably the best part of working with Marbella Landscaping was them being flexible and knowledgeable. They are quick to point out what I owe but they have not gone into much detail on what they are going to provide. There is no layout of sprinkler heads to show coverage. They are not detailing the amount of PVC pipe they are going to lay, the number of heads they will use, the type of drip irrigation setup they will use. They have pretty much not detailed anything that they can be held to. I would rather not rate them since they have not, and will not be doing any work for me, but if I have to give them a ratting it would be 1 star. The reason for that is that when questioned on price the gentleman immediately said that the cost of PVC pipe has doubled. That may be but at, and I am rounding up here, $1.5 per foot that would work out to 1/2 mile of pipe for $4,200. Granted there is more to installing a sprinkler system than pipe. His comment was rather disingenuous so the review stands at 1 star. There quote was for $4,200, this just seems ridiculous to me. I have attached the estimate the gentleman emailed to me just so you can tell I am not making this up. If this is what most contractors are charging then I am up a river without a paddle and I will have to do this myself. read more

I can't say enough about the job Marbella did on a full tear out and re-landscape of our front and back yard. I'm not going to make this review long winded with details. What I will say, is if I could give 10 stars, I would. They worked tirelessly from dawn to dusk, seven days straight, making sure every single detail was correct. They were very professional and knowledgeable about every faucet of the project. They even addressed a major water pressure issue at my property that was affecting the water pressure in the new sprinkler system. An issue that wasn't their responsibility to address. They just fixed it, no questions asked. They even offered to plant a couple trees we bought and were going to plant ourselves. They planted them and ran drip lines to them at no extra cost. I hired Marbella Landscaping for lawn mowing, edging, and what I called "spring cleanup and weeding". I live in California and recently purchased our home in Mapleton, so our communication was long distance and via email. I arrived at my home in Utah this week to find the lawn HAD been mowed BUT that was about it! There wasn't any "spring cleanup and weeding" done that I could see. There was no edging. They of course billed me and I sent them $340 via Venmo (again...this was done long distance so I assumed they had done a fine job. We all know what happens when you assume)! We contacted Marbella Landscaping to schedule an appointment for them to come to our home to give us a bid on our backyard. They didn't show up and said their appointments were scheduled wrong, my husband left work to come home and be there for them. I rescheduled an appointment for them to come out again and give us a bid. They did come out, however, it has been about a month and they never gave us a bid. We were ghosted. Terrible customer service! Unresponsive. They do not have the integrity to honor the contract we agreed upon and are ignoring my attempts to communicate. Would give 0 stars if I could. Last year we had Marbella install our landscaping, including several shrubs/bushes. The work last year was decent, and one of the things we made sure to do was pay an additional fee to have our plants warrantied for 1 year. (This was included in the contract we signed.) Well, this year we had a few plants that did not make it and were under warranty to be replaced at no-charge to us. I also requested that they check the water lines to ensure all plants were getting watered appropriately. When attempting to schedule Marbella to come out, they were ridiculously unresponsive... I called and emailed for weeks before getting a response. And the same lack of communication continued in all my dealings with them, EXCEPT when they said we owed them money--then they were incredibly responsive. When I was finally able to get someone out, I specifically requested that they check in with me when they arrived and when they left, and also made sure to tell them I did not want ANY work completed without my prior approval. They did not check in or out with me and ended up performing work on our sprinklers that I did not authorize. They did all of this, but did not replace the plants because "that crew member didn't perform that kind of service" and they would need a different crew to replace the plants. The next day, I received an invoice for the sprinkler work that was performed without my authorization. When I inquired as to when our plants would be replaced, I received an email from a Manager basically stating that they would replace our plants when we paid the invoice for the sprinkler work. It felt as though they were essentially blackmailing us in order to honor the contract that we signed and paid for, which had NOTHING to do with the sprinkler work performed. After the fact, we had our regular landscaping maintenance company check the work that Marbella did on the sprinkler system, and discovered that they essentially did nothing and charged us for unnecessary labor and parts. I originally requested that our warrantied plants be replaced in May... and here we are in September, and the plants have still NOT been replaced. They are no longer taking my calls or answering my emails. read more

When the appointment time came, no call and no show for the quote appointment. Just blatantly wasted my time, wouldn't respond to my text or answer my call to see if they were running late. This company reached out to me and offered to blow out my sprinkler system at two separate locations. Their earliest appointment was almost two weeks from when they called so I took it, but mentioned the sooner the better since it was already early October. They never showed and are risking costing me thousands of dollars in damage to my sprinkler system. I would recommend going with any other company. They won't show up when it counts. Completely unprofessional and extremely poor work. I called to schedule to get a quote at a rental property. After waiting for an hour past the time they were supposed to be there, I had to reach out to the office to find out where their employee was. Apparently he had told them he was running late, but no one contacted me. So I canceled at that time and left. He showed up 20 minutes later, then begins texting and calling me to let me know he's at the property, because apparently his office didn't tell him I canceled due to their lack of communication and not appreciating the value of my time. Since he was already there and the property was accessible, I asked him to look and give me a quote for xeriscaping and vinyl fence repair. Several weeks after I gave them the required down payment, I received a text that they were going to drop materials at the property and complete the work that week. Two weeks later is when they dropped the materials in the street, and a week after that is when they actually started to do the work. The neighbors contacted me because the workers kept going past 1AM. The contract provided clearly stated that they wouldn't work past 10PM and that was only on things that needed to be done that day (such as concrete, which I had none of). I made my down payment June 17th, and the project wasn't completed until September 27th. For xeriscaping a apart quarter of an acre and replacing three vinyl fence panels. By the time they put the fence in their materials were already failing and weeds were protruding from the entire perimeter and sporadically throughout the yard. $17k for ticked off neighbors, no schedule, and the work still has to be redone. read more

Super shady company. Steer clear. Franco came to give us an estimate and I contacted him within the week to get it scheduled. I texted him Sunday morning and he responded Sunday night after 9 pm that he'd send a crew the next day. That didn't work for us, so I asked if we could schedule it another day that week when we were home. No response. I texted him again. No response. This pattern continued for another week with no response. Yesterday I texted him and he said the quote only lasted a week, therefore he needed to charge me 300 more dollars than the initial quote because my quote had expired. Unbelievable. Nowhere on the quote does it say there's an expiration date. Nor did he tell me this in person. And, I tried to schedule within the week--but because of his negligence it didn't get done. I'm taking my business elsewhere. All of the reviews on here are negative, so save yourself the trouble and stay away! read more
