I have nothing but magnificent comments about Marbella's Spa & Salon. The staff is very courteous and always treats every individual attentively and respectfully. They will always abide and respect your scheduled appointment. They are nice, friendly and very helpful. I cannot emphasize enough the professionalism that they offer; it is a huge perk that goes hand-in-hand with their many years of experience in the field. A little background about me, I would like to say that I had never found a place where I can call my "home" hair stylist or hair colorist. I was introduced to Marbella's a year and a half ago, and I have been a loyal customer ever since. I have seen, in many occasions, how the owners and all of the staff work very hard to show their professionalism and experience. This is one of the many qualities this salon offers, and why I always return. Also, the fact that I have never waited more than 5 minutes to get in to see my stylist or hair colorist is a huge plus! Rosie and Eduardo are amazing! I always walk in there with a vision and Rosie sees my vision and creates it ten times better than I expected. Then, I see Eduardo and he will top it off ten times more with the cut and style. I have been going to Marbella Salon for the past 6 years and I have been absolutely thrilled and happy with the haircuts I've gotten with them. Eduardo is a master at his craft and is constantly keeping his skills and knowledge up to date -- up-to-date trends, up-to-date culture styles, and up-to-date skills of the trade. For the first 3 years we focused on a very long (as in 80's rocker hair) hairstyle, which came out very well (it's my first time experimenting with that long hair); for the next 2 years we focused on a medium-long hairstyle, which also came out excellent; for the last year, we have focused on a short-medium hairstyle, which I am thoroughly enjoying at the moment. Here are my recommendations: 1. Take a picture of the style you want and show it to Eduardo -- he will get it right -- trust me on that 2. Avoid This Unprofessional Salon at All Costs I cannot overstate how frustrating and unprofessional my experience was with this salon. I made an appointment for my son, scheduling it for the day before Christmas. This appointment was confirmed by the salon, so I planned our busy holiday schedule around it. As the appointment time approached, I received a text from the salon asking to reschedule the appointment two hours later. While inconvenient, I rearranged our entire family's plans to accommodate their request. Then, shockingly, they texted me again saying they couldn't fit us in at all and that the appointment would have to be rescheduled for after Christmas! This is beyond unprofessional. It shows zero respect for their customers' time and commitments. Now, we are stuck going through the Christmas holiday with messy hair because, at this late stage, it's impossible to find another appointment elsewhere. Their careless and dismissive attitude completely ruined our holiday plans, and I will never trust this salon again. If you value your time and sanity, stay far away! read more

I leave never been the type to commit fully to a hair stylist. For the longest I would just jump from hair dresser to hair dresser because I never found one that has completely made me happy 100% of the time, until I came across Marbella. I did a quick google search to find somewhere to cut my hair because I was beginning to look nappy as hell. I came across Eduardo's work and immediately fell in love that I had to check him out ASAP. I booked my first appointment and I've been committed to him cutting my hair for nearly a year now. Eduardo has the magic touch when it comes to hair. My hair has honestly never looked more healthier. He's patient and precise when it comes to cutting you hair, and his shampooing scalp massages are bomb as hellll. I went to Marbella based on a recommendation from a co-worker and friend. I have long hair, and wanted a fairly simple and affordable cut. I got exactly this, along with great customer service! Jeromy cut my hair, and he was great. I've been to many salons before, but this was one of the first times that the stylist took the time to actually recognize my hair type and ask me about my hair care routine. Jeromy wasn't pushy and didn't tell me things I should/shouldn't be doing to my hair; but rather, when I asked more questions, he was very helpful and clearly knowledgable about what would be best for my hair type. He took the time to listen and explain different suggestions that he made, which I really appreciated. He also gave me input on certain hair care products, but was not pushy about trying to get me to purchase anything (I did end up purchasing the Angel products which I love!). SMILING WITH JOY OVER MY PIXIE CUT AND THAT I HAD MADE A NEW FRIEND IN EDUARDO. So, let me start with the facts. In the previous months I had had a pixie cut at Kharisma, Beauty Indulgence, Eric Perez, and Tony & Guy all within a week's time! I walked out with my hands over my face in despair. And my pockets emptied. This time I googled "best pixie in houston" and Marabella appeared. I called and Eduardo listened, told me he was confident in his abilities, and booked a consultation. Once we met it was apparent he was the right hairdresser for my next and final pixie cut. Marabella is a very welcoming salon. But Eduardo is the icing on the cake! My wife and I have been getting our hair cut by Eduardo for a long time now, but when it came to her wedding hair and makeup she decided to go with a traditional airbrush and updo - and she said that was a big mistake. The stylist and makeup artist she booked with skipped down and she found out just three days before her bridal portrait. Luckily I was getting my hair cut that day and asked Eduardo for advice and he said Victoria at the salon could come in (on her day off!) and do her hair and makeup. She thought it was absolutely stunning and was the perfect natural elegant look that she wanted. So she booked Victoria to do her wedding hair and makeup. Victoria and Bobby did a fantastic job for her and her bridesmaids for such a good price. They were fun and really listened to what everyone wanted. I recently moved to the Montrose area and was looking for a neighborhood salon. I found Marbella and decided to give them a try. I am glad I did! The salon has a really fun vibe and everyone was friendly. I saw Amanda first for my highlites. My highlites were grown out and I just wanted to maintain something simple. She gave me a thorough consultation then went to work. She is very detailed and you can tell that she has perfected her craft. They turned out beautiful. I saw Eddie next for my cut. He was also very pleasant and gave me a fantastic blowdry after. I also met the owner Eduardo and he was very approachable and kind too. The overall atmosphere is fresh, fun, and professional. So through the years I have had a tough time finding a hairstylist who not only could do a great job on their own, but also listened to exactly what I wanted. Thank goodness I finally found Shayna! I actually know her from before she started work at Marbella and I am really glad she is going to be able to take her talents to a trendier area in Houston. She's spunky and talkative and will literally go through your hair piece by piece with a fine toothed comb (or in my case a razor) to make sure the final product matches what you were aiming for. She also does a great job on my high-lights and steadily foils away through my thick mass of hair. I would definitely recommend her to anyone, especially if you like your hairstylist to have a great personality! read more

I went to get a permanent eyebrow and I had an amazing experience! First of al, the lady who took care of me was so nice. I was very scared because it was my first time getting my eyebrows done. When I heard the word permanent I had a lot of thoughts going trough my head. Vasilisa, who was my specialist, was really nice. She explained to me everything and guided me trough the entire process. I didn't experience any pain like I thought I would. I felt very relaxed. My end result was incredible. My eye brows look exactly how I wanted them and most of all, they look natural. This was my major worry and it met my expectations, honestly, it exceeded them. Over all, I really recommend going with Vasilisa. I am planning to get my eye liner done very soon. read more

I've been here about once a month doing something to my hair and each time is better than the last. Shayna had the challenge of reading my mind and using some photos brought in for a guide. I found a salon online and made an appt, needed to get my hair toned and the stylist used a new product the salon was trying out Moroccan Oil, I was amazed to see the end results of my hair. I have naturally frizzy hair and it can at times be coarse. After just one use, my hair feels alot smoother, silky to the touch and feels lightweight not heavy. Service was awesome, they listened to what I had to say and were able to match my previous underneath hair to the roots on top, without me telling them the color that was used before. I have to say that Marbella Spa & Salon is one of the best salons in Houston. I moved to Houston a couple of years ago and for over a year I could not find a salon that I was satisfied with. Luckily I found Marbella and have been a loyal customer since. The salon presents a very professional atmosphere and the talented staff is the reason behind that. I have been going to Vanessa for cut, color, and hair extensions. She is by far the best I have encountered anywhere that I have lived. I do not have one complaint for all of my visits, just praise. This salon did my hair and makeup and my bridesmaid's hair for my April wedding. They were pretty amazing from the start. My hair and makeup was perfect and I have very thin hair that is difficult to work with. My wedding planner made an error in scheduling my appointments and we didn't realize this until the day before the wedding, and Eduardo quickly worked to solve this problem. He truly saved the day. I would highly recommend this salon for wedding hair and makeup. The cost was perfectly appropriate and actually a better value (less expensive) than some other salons in the area. I went to this salon after searching for nearby spas to get a facial. Based on reviews I was excited. I get massages & facialsregularly so I know what they should be like. Both the massage & facial I had here were SO bad, down with the worst I have received. The facial broke my skin out. It seemed the facialist was scared to touch my face. It was supposed to be 1 hr but only lasted about 40 minutes. The 1 hr massage was also over in about 45 minutes. He did not seem to know what he was doing & charged me 10$ more for a deep tissue massage when that is NOT what I got. There are SO many more great places to go for spa services...I advise NOT going here! read more

Eduardo starting cutting my hair over 15 years ago. For the last 10 years I have lived in other states and on my last visit into Houston a week ago I had Eduardo clean up my out grown bob. Since I have been back home to Asheville I get compliments EVERY where go! My hair looks amazing! I so wish I could fly in to have him cut it every time. In the last 10 years I still can NOT find anyone as good as him. His salon is still standing strong after all these years and you will see why at your visit. Shayna is the girl to go to!!! I wanted something crazy, blue hair, and she NAILED IT!!!!! Due to other colors I previously had done on my hair it wasn't the right shade that I wanted at first but shayna made sure I loved my hair 100% before I left! Very friendly and will keep you laughing while in her chair. I personally like to carry on conversations while getting my hair done instead of just sitting in quiet. I have had an amazing relationship with my stylist Billy for over 9 years now. I had followed him to this salon from others. He is simply talented and amazing at his craft. He listens to what his clients want initially and then takes those comments and makes the final product better. I love my hair the first day its cut and the months after.
