When I called to make the appointment, they were quick to answer and it was very easy to schedule. I went for a basic women's haircut which was $75. Lilian was friendly and clearly cared about doing a great job, listening to how I was wanting the hair to be cut. Going from longer hair to a shoulder length cut along with a shampoo and dry all took just under an hour. I am definitely interested in coming back! They're located on the second floor of a plaza with lots of parking, although it can be busy.

However, potential clients should simply be told that upfront rather than spending weeks attempting to schedule an appointment that is never confirmed. I have had long hair my whole life and wanted a short fresh start. After being referred by a woman who's hair I admired in the galleria, I went home and quickly yelped Eric's salon. After reading reviews and looking at some of his other work I was sold. I initially went to him on Thursday in hopes of achieving the style I wanted. Eric was great with the scissors, borderline a perfectionist which is always a plus. My end resuld was exactly what I asked for and couldn't help but hug him in the end. Later that night I noticed that while he cut my hair the style I asked for, it wasn't short enough to rid my hair that still had a perm on it. I emailed him that evening to see when I could come back to get more cut off and to my surprise he said he would squeeze me in on Sat. I was elated because I just knew he was going to say he couldnt fit me in until the following week. After showing him another picture of how I wanted it this time, he began cutting again, never rushing even though he squeezed me in. Once again I was in love and now my cut is PERFECT! no more stringy ends and I've already gotten so many compliments. After hugging Eric.....again ..... he told me no charge! He was that committed to making sure i was pleased. I will definitely be returning in the future to see Eric , hes now my go to guy and I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a friendly, committed stylist!!!!! read more

I was referred to Eric by a current client of his. I rarely ever see anyone with such good hair color that I ask who does their hair, but he did a phenomenal job on my friend Aubrei's hair and I have been searching for a new hair dresser for a while and haven't had much luck. As you can imagine my hair is fired, dyed, and blow dried but I still prefer it blonde! So i needed a real color specialist! I had an amazing experience with Eric today, couldn't be happier with my hair! He actually got it the blonde color I want and no gold or brassy blonde! He was very careful with my hair and spent a lot of time on it to ensure it was not damaged! He was also to my surprise very reasonably priced! I went in for a hair cut after my niece who is going to beauty school convinced me to allow her to work on my hair and it was an unmitigated disaster. Eric said he could squeeze me in and he immediately set me at ease. The salon itself is decorated with a chic vibe and the music is catchy but doesn't linger in your head all day. It is overall relaxing. He massaged my head when he washed it and I felt my tension break down around my shoulders. At first I didn't think he was cutting enough off but that was my mistake because I was giving him mixed instructions. Once I clearly told him what I wanted, instead of doing my normal double speak, he had my hair beautifully done EXACTLY like I wanted it done. It is perfect. Had no idea what he was doing when he cut my hair. I had very long hair and carefully looked for someone with credentials before booking an appointment. He looked a bit worried when he saw my hair. He is no longer in his own salon anymore, he has a chair in a big salon across from the galleria. He had barely any hair products and didn't even style my hair nicely. A haircut was $65 from Eric and when I gave him my hundred dollar bill he asked me "how much do you want back?" Well I would like my change back.. I ended up paying $75 for a butchered haircut that still angers me to look at every time I style it. I asked for long layers and that's it. It's not that hard, especially if you've been cutting hair for "15 years". Will never recommend him and will not be going back. Not sure how he has such great reviews. When I first moved here I went to a salon in the Galleria and they completely did a poor job and even though the manager was nice and had someone else do my hair, it was not that great. So I spent some time searching for a new hair stylist and came across Eric Perez. Eric was able to understand exactly what I wanted and did a fantastic job of cutting layers for long hair. My hair turned out beautiful! He also was able to fit me in for color even though my appointment was only for a haircut. The color also turned out vibrant and beautiful! His services are priced reasonably and he knows how to cut hair well and was very nice and even came outside to direct me to the parking lot. Eric is a master hairstylist. Eric has cut and styled my hair for 17 years, and now he cuts my daughters and son's hair. The way he cuts is so precise and perfect that I don't need to do much at home and my hair still looks good daily. His way of layering hair is so proportional that I can go for as long as 6 months(only due to my scheduling problems) before having to go back for another cut. My hair always looks fresh and healthy without having to work hard to style it at home. Of course, Eric can style my hair for an elegant look for special occasions. After close to a decade with the same stylist who knew my curls inside and out, the idea of needing to find a new stylist was terrifying - but Eric Perez took all of that fear away. He's friendly, experienced, professional, incredibly detail-oriented, and asked all of the right questions to make sure I got the cut I wanted. He started with a dry cut to preserve the shape of my curls and finished it with a perfect blow dry and trim so I could wear it straight or curly. I have been a customer of Eric's for years, since his days at Visible Changes. I refer to him as more of an artist than a hair stylist. Eric always seems to be able to translate what you're describing into exactly what you're looking for in a haircut. The fact that he is courteous, flexible, and friendly, and goes out of his way to make sure his customers are satisfied with their haircuts, makes him a cut above (pun entirely intended) other hair stylists in the Houston area. I have "strayed" a time or two over the probably 10-plus years I have been using Eric's services, but always regret it, often coming to him to salvage what similarly-priced stylists had mangled. I was extremely pleased with both the coloring and the haircut and style--always have been! I was so excited to try this salon after reading all the positive reviews, but I left incredibly…read moredisappointed. I came in asking for a simple trim, about one inch off, and a very subtle face frame. I also made it clear multiple times that I did not want layers. Instead, I left with a head full of layers and what appears to be at least three inches cut off the back instead of the one inch I requested. During the haircut, I could tell it was heading in the direction I specifically asked to avoid, so I reiterated that I didn't want layers. Despite that, the haircut continued the same way. When I asked afterward why I had been given layers, I was initially told they weren't layers. Once I pointed them out bc they clearly were, I was told, "It looks better that way," and "It will grow out." I don't appreciate the attempt to gaslight me as if I can't see the cut and don't know how long my hair was. A stylist's personal preference should never override what a client explicitly requests. Hair takes months to grow back, and this isn't something that can simply be undone. Disappointed that the experience did not live up to the online reputation. This seems to be such a common issue. Why?!

What I like is that he knows me, how my hair grows and what look I'm going for.... Definitely a step up from trendy barbershops that give you a shot of whisky, but have no clue who you are or what you like/need. Also, if he recommends you try something slightly different, trust him... he knows what he's doing. My beard rocks and it's because of William (aka Guillermo)!

Needless to say, when you find a good hairstylist, take their name, schedule your next visit in advance because they fill up fast. However I am very keen on giving people a chance, today I granted David a chance, he had availability that fit my schedule. I came in, promptly greeted, paid my 50% deposit online at the time of booking. Booked service for cut, and style, let him know the specifics of what I wanted. I want long layers, but it doesn't need to be exact, it can be a rough cut, just want my ends trimmed, and thinned out/ texturized. Things were so seamless, that I questioned if he put heat protectant spray before blow drying my hair. Which he did, but it's important for me to ask anyway... A tip; No person on earth can just read your mind, so say what you want, and ask questions along the way and if the vibe isn't right, you know what to do! I'm happy with my results for my cut, and he asked if I was happy with length, and texture/ thickness/ thinness and more. Hair grows folks, so don't be too harsh! Enjoy!
