Maybe about 10 people were eating inside. Was told all the seats with bbqs are taken but we could sit at a table where the food is cooked. Ok fine..... I got the beef belly and the marinated short rib. Food was mediocre, the mushroom with the name marble yea cool but I'm not 20. Soda in a can no thanks. Overall the meat was just bland. Non of the meats were quality meats. I think everything was choice, and I choose wrong because it taste no good. Service was just ok. I had a guy that looked like EHonda so that made me happy. There's tons of parking since it's in the Woodbury Town Center. There were plenty of tables open but we had to wait to be seated for about 20 minutes. I also noticed that the restaurant was a bit smokey from all the grilling. My friend and I ordered the small beef combo that included short rib, brisket, and marinated boneless beef. What I did enjoy was the variety of banchans that they had along with the kimchi buchimgae. They grill the meat in the back and then bring it out and place it on the grill at the table to keep it warm and to cook it more if needed. Probably my favorite KBBQ spot in the OC right now. The side dishes (banchan) are all fresh and delicious. The meat quality is superb from the ribeye to the marinated short rib. The servers are all very attentive and responsive. The ambiance is upscale, clean, and modern. With all that being said, it's not exactly the cheapest KBBQ spot but with Marble, you get what you pay for which is high quality food, great service, and a clean and contemporary environment. Honestly came with low expectations since I'm spoiled by so many great Korean bbq places closer to home but was so surprised and really loved it here. Wow, what a wonderful experience! We've passed this place by so many times in the Woodbury shopping center thinking it was a traditional steakhouse. But don't be fooled, they certainly serve KBBQ, banchan (sides) and all! Let's get the money talk out of the way since that seems to be a major point of contention here. We got the $85 small beef combo, which comes with 3 generous meat portions (brisket, ribeye, boneless short rib), a beautiful spread (see attached photo), steamed egg & soybean soup. The spread also includes a sizeable kimchi pancake and 2 large shrimps. All of these was more than enough food for 2 people. We couldn't finish and ended up taking some home as leftovers (which you can't do at AYCE!). Most AYCE KBBQ in Irvine cost about ~$40 per person, so the price is very comparable. If you can vacuum down the meats like a savage, then yea the AYCE will be a better option. But if you want a filling and balanced meal, packed with different vegetables, then this is superior. Not to mention the employees grill the meat for you to perfection, and the quality of the meat is better too! You don't have to do any of the cooking. It was nice having the staff cook the meat for us, though they did drop our meat a few times, which was a little awkward. We also asked them to cut our cold noodles, and they used the same scissors that had touched raw meat. I was not too worried since raw beef is safe to eat, but it still caught me off guard. I had really wanted to try their pasta dish after seeing it in older Yelp photos, but I was told it is no longer on the menu. I thought the brisket was decent, but when the set menu was a little pricier than at an AYCE restaurant I expected it to be better. It was a little dry unfortunately. The non-marinated boneless short beef had nice marble to it which came out in the flavor. It was very juicy and packed with flavor. We also got the naengmyeon or the cold buckwheat noodles. Refreshing with all the beef we had. But the star of the night has to be marinated boneless short rib. The flavoring on the marinade really compliments the beef. Food is always great! Recommend getting the small set for two people. It's more than enough. We recently had a staff named Max who grilled for us. Would highly recommend his grilling style. He was very nice and happily answered our questions, even though he was there all day and most likely was exhausted. Back to food: You can always ask them for more banchan too. This place is a nice scenery away from ayce kbbq. You could tell this place focus on service and quality meat since it's not ayce. We were seated in the middle tables without the table grill but they cooked the meat elsewhere before putting it on our portable grill to keep warm. They were great in keeping our banchans refilled once they're empty, it's nice of them without having us to ask! We had a large party so we ordered 3 combos, as well as some other side meats and raw crab which was plenty of food. The crab was very flavorful and fresh compared to other Korean restaurants.
