My family and I decided to go here for breakfast. This restaurant serves breakfast and lunch but we all elected to get breakfast. It is a small restaurant but it was clean and enough seats for people to eat. The service was great our waiter had made sure we got what we needed. The food was good. I was happy that they had a turkey sausage due to me not eating pork. Prices are reasonable which you can pay by cash to make the bill lower or if you pay by card than the bill will be lower. This is a locally owned jewel for breakfast or lunch. I have had both breakfast and lunch here and have never been disappointed! They have daily specials that are truly delicious and good values. The only good thing I can say about this spot is the portions are large. The staff all appeared to have not washed their clothes in weeks. It felt unclean. Order came out wrong, had to get my own hot sauce. Found a hair in my husband's drink. Panini is grilled but I guess they don't use any kind of grease on the outside because it's super dry. They offer an oil "spread" disguised as butter. Lots of staff but not really sure what they were all doing. But they did have great quality napkins! I used to come to this place weekly back in high school and it was the best tasting breakfast food in town, in my opinion. However, I just recently visited it on a trip (live out of state now) and was so disappointed that it lost what it once had. I always get the three breakfast tacos with Chorizo, so that's what I went with this time. It was hard to eat because of the memories I have with that dish and because it was not nearly as good as I had remembered. The service was good as it was fairly busy and I have no complaints or compliments on the staff. The inside still looked the same and they have many awards plastered on the walls from the 2010's, which also happens to be the time I frequented. A very friendly, neighborhood eatery. I ordered the omelet with chorizo, my wife the western. We thought both were dry so we each got a side of sausage gravy, and that made it all work. The jelly is from those little packaged industry standard, the OJ seemed from concentrate or other package - you aren't going to find home made things like that. But the gravy was real, the biscuits seemed either that or comparable - overall a good meal, above a 3 but not quite a 4. The facility is nondescript, very neighborhood plain inside, good but not outstanding food. Just a friendly place you can have breakfast with friends at and not be hurried along...I'd go again for that reason. If I wanted farm-fresh and homemade artisan fare I'd go elsewhere, but for a relaxed come-as-you-are place you're good to go. read more

The new menu has some interesting finds! I had the healthy veggie omelette this past Thursday. It has broccoli, carrots, celery, tomatoes, with egg whites. Much different than I would have expected and I enjoyed it! They have a separate "cheezie" menu that has several variations of your favorite breakfast spot fare, smothered with more cheese. While in town for work, I made it over one morning for breakfast. The place looks like a neighborhoods greasy spoon kind of place, the servers were all very friendly and were doing a very good job checking in with everyone. I tried the "farmer's skillet" with poached eggs. It was a hearty meal, good gravy and well balanced flavors The only downside was trying to get there from the hotel, there were several streets being worked on that the map apps didn't know. Came here with my husband for breakfast. We have a few go to breakfast places but wanted to try this one. Place just seemed dirty, we were there pretty early and were one of maybe three tables total. Service took forever, food wasn't anything special. But the biggest surprise was the small dead bug that I found on my toast. At first it looked just like a crumb from my bread or an old bread crumb from the toaster. But when I picked it up you could see the little legs and part of a wing with black lines on its back. I about hurled, when I told our waitress about it, she had me put it in her hand, she rolls it in the palm of her hand for a minute before picking it up with her other hand. As she's pinching it in her fingers and examining it, she then crunches it between her fingers, sprinkling it all over the floor and says "huh must have just been a bread crumb, I mean when I squished it, it crumbled into nothing". It took all of my will power to not tell her that if you crush a dead bug in your fingers it will crumble too...we will never be back again. Instead of having us talk to a manager or owner, we were just expected to deal with a crumbled "bread crumb" that has legs and part of a wing. Having something comped wasn't even on my mind since it wasn't expensive to begin with, but it was more of a concern for the health and safety of future patrons. read more

While in town for a wedding, stopped in here for a late breakfast post-rehearsal-night. I believe it was an old Lord Jon's Tacos...a Kokomo "mini-chain" that never made it. The interior has been painted ans sparsely decorated, has a very open, "diner" feel to it. There's a deck with tables, too. Service was fast & pleasant---when at Omeletty's, eat an omelet. We tried three and they were all solid. As was the coffee, hash browns, B&G, and over-easy eggs. Toast was thick-sliced and better than your average greasy spoon. Sourdough was a nice touch. If I'm in Kokomo again a night after some pints, I'd swing by this local joint again and avoid the chains that plague the US-31 strip. read more

From the reviews I must say that I expected more. The place was packed with people, so it seemed promising. I noticed a large chalkboard with speciality drinks, and planned on getting a latte. Due to the owner's wife passing away they no longer had them? Confused me a bit due to all the speciality coffee decor on the walls. Service wasn't very good, and the food was average. I don't want to hear the hostess tell a regular customer how they need more employees, or see our waitress roll her eyes because the hostess forgot to give us our utensils. May try it again, but most likely will go elsewhere. read more

This is our favorite breakfast place. The baked oatmeal is delicious, either banana or apple, and I really love the fried cornmeal mush. It's a typical old fashioned breakfast place, but their lunch game is pretty strong, too. The Greek salad was good, and our 12 yr old always orders the chicken strips, even at breakfast. The staff is friendly and attentive. The service can be a bit slow when the place is packed. I'd love even more it if they turned the TVs that are tuned in to the news off, but that's a personal preference. read more

I have consistently been going to Omelettys for breakfast with friend. Let's be honest, the place is falling apart and the food isn't all that wonderful. But Lisa- a waitress was the reason we kept coming back. She had hospitality nailed. Sure she was sassy but she made us feel like we were known. She gave the place a Cheers feel. She knew our names and our orders by heart. She often pulled up a chair to tell us the recent drama. She is now gone- I don't see a reason to go back. read more

We moved to Kokomo August of 21 and found Omelettys. We enjoyed the food and ordered take out frequently due to Covid. Well today the experience was very disappointing. Ordered 3 meals an omelet with southern potatoes, a breakfast sandwich, and a breakfast baked potato. When I got home with the order there was a burrito instead of a breakfast baked potato and the potatoes were just regular hash browns with the omelet. I called Omelettys and informed them of the error and was told to bring the order back in exchange for the original order. I was Ok with that even though I live 15 minutes from Omelettys. When I arrived back at the drive thru to exchange what i was given for the correct order the lady at window started arguing with me about part of the order being correct. She wanted fix the wrong potatoes and make the breakfast baked potato. I said I was told to bring the order back to exchange. They did not have the correct original order ready. I was told to go park in the lot and wait for the order to be ready. That is when I told the manager to just give me my money back as I had already spent 15 minutes driving to pick up the wrong order, 15 more minutes to drive back home, another 15 minutes driving back to exchange the order and now they want me to wait however long it takes to make the new order and drive another 15 minutes back home where i have guests waiting for their meals. i came to this eatery with my great grandmother for a light snack as we had both eaten breakfast. by reviews and her own lips there is no better place for breakfast. for my meal i had a side of wheat toast vannila coke and a bowl of (fresh) fruit. toast-10/10 nicely buttered not burnt coke-10/10 small ice sweet just the right fizz fruit-3/10 it was not fresh it consisted of hard canalope old watermelon and some grapes the latter of which was all i was able to eat. in short this place is good [-DONT GET THE FRUIT-] read more

Absolutely delicious. We wanted dinner out but didn't want to leave the house, so Mom said Omellety had great food and Yelp said they delivered. Eat24 handled the order and the delivery. The service was on time and just off the grill hot and crispy. We got their bacon burger, a Reuben sandwich with no dressing, as ordered, and a yummy grilled chicken sandwich. Where do I begin! My daughter and I both ordered the chef salad which we thought was a joke when the waitress first set our plates down. Limp, disgusting and room temperature iceberg lettuce with a few toppings ew! Did not finish past the first bite. My parents and brother ordered the tenderloin lunch which resembled something you would find on a bathroom floor. Yes, there was a plate full and yes, the price was decent but come on diners go for quality not quantity. My water came with a spider on the ice and the waitress was annoyed that I would even ask for a new glass. "It is just a dark flake off the cup" she said. I replied "it has eight legs and is moving! Show me a dark flake that does that and shouldn't you be concerned about having something period in my drink!" The waitress did not care. The atmosphere is terrible like running cattle through the farm, no one cares. If you have to eat out then do yourself a favor and find a different place, hey I know how about McDonald's who serves breakfast all day! read more
