Visited this place quite some time ago I believe when it first opened, so a lot has changed of course. They did a lot of things well, including the fact that it was so quick to get your food. The choices were great, classic American-Italian. Very kid friendly.

Located near Vaughn Mills and in a food plaza, there's plenty of parking spots. From outside, it didn't impress, but once you enter the restaurant, it looks classy and elegant with a wall of red wine display. My friends already got us a table at their side patio which is a nice surprise. I couldn't see it from the front of the restaurant. The service was great and the washroom was nice and clean. The bread was chewy and they gave their sauces ready on the table. For our main dishes, we all got pizzas. It all looked delicious. Mine was yummy with non-burned sun-dried tomatoes (that was the highlight of the pizza). The pizza dough did get hard instead of chewy on my last slice of it. My partner mentioned his got soggy near the end. I guess it depends on the toppings. Verdict- a happy experience and I wouldn't mind going back.

This is a staple restaurant in the heart of Vaughan. Traditional, home cooked Italian fare where we can honestly say that we couldn't pick a favourite dish, because they were all tasty! The calamari was lightly battered and so soft. The linguine was well seasoned and not too salty. But what was surprisingly good were the rice balls, that had a rich tomato sauce. A great spot for families, dates or parties. Make reservations!

Clean establishment with friendly helpful staff. The pizza was very good. Thin crust, crispy with the right amount of toppings and cheese. The sauce was very good as well, since a sauce can make or break a pizza. The ricotta crostini are excellent. Rainy liked the balsamic and touch of honey took it to the next level. Would definitely go back.

This is one of our family's favourite places for delicious Italian food. The staff here are so welcoming and the service is amazing. Spacious restaurant and perfect for family gatherings. Tons of parking spaces too.

I came here one weekday afternoon with a few of my colleagues for lunch, the restaurant was quite full but thank goodness we didn't have to wait long for a table. We have ordered grilled calamari as appetizer, pear and prosciutto arugula salad, and black tiger shrimp linguine. The grilled calamari was delicious, and the pesto sauce balanced the saltiness from the calamari. The salad was super refreshing! The pear was crunchy and has the crisp in every bite, together with the prosciutto, it was a well-balanced sweet-and-savory dish! The linguine was cooked al dente, with a strong garlic flavour. For dessert, we ordered a slice of tiramisu and boy, we picked the right one to finish off the meal- creamy yet not super sweet slice of cake... what a sweet way to wash off the salt!

Came by for a dinner unplanned. Just had a craving for Italian The mussels hit the spot enough for me but I do wish the marinara was a bit more thick and a touch of wine. It was just a tiny underwhelming. The calamari was good size pieces but lacking a bit in flavor. Pasta was disappointing. I ordered penne ala vodka and the sauce was extremely watery. I can appreciate that if they had seasoned the sauce a bit more and perhaps cooked it to a thicker consistency, it would be drastically different. Sadly this did not hit the spot. My boyfriend ordered a pizza which was really nice. A good, thin crust cooked really nicely. Lovely portion of arugula, prosciutto and the balsamic glaze. The fig was a lovely touch too! Service was quick and attentive. Portions were quite large and a decent price. While I would not likely be back personally, I do recommend the pizza if you're in the area looking for a bite.

Lots of different interesting cool Gourmet pizzas. I had the Pizza Bianca Bianca roasted garlic, gorgonzola, fior di latte cheese, dry figs, arugula, speck (smoked prosciutto) drizzled with balsamic glaze. They charge extra for additions or changes but when I asked to have one of the most expensive items removed from the pizza, they didn't reduce the price. $25. I think the pizza had some pretty cool notes to it with the figs, balsamic vinegar and arugula but something underneath had this powder texture and at other times a sticky paste. I didn't know what it was. You have to eat this fresh because if you take this home to heat it up in the oven, arugula will dry up and become kind of Blackish Brown. This is more a place for adults to come in socialize. The kids won't like the pizza here.

I had never been here before, so there was a brief hesitation since I thought this could either make me look like a foodie genius or a complete fraud. But then I saw photos of the beautiful olive tree in the dining room and thought, well... any restaurant confident enough to put a tree in the middle probably knows what it's doing. I was sold. The verdict? I'm glad I brought them--though there was one small caveat. The one con: We started with the Vegetarian Board. The vegetables were fresh and well-cooked, but I have to call out a small disappointment: the menu clearly says "chef's selection of vegetables and olives." Reader, unfortunately...there were no olives. Not a single olive in sight. In a restaurant with an olive tree, no less. The irony was almost poetic. Minor false advertising aside, the broccolini was also a bit more bitter than I personally enjoy. Now the pros (and there were many): The rest of the meal was exceptional--fresh, satisfying, and very authentically Italian. To start, we had fresh bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. The olive oil alone almost stole the show. It was incredibly fragrant, with that bright, crisp olive flavour that lingers on your palate like it was pressed five minutes ago. I may or may not have eaten more bread than dignity allows. For my main, I had the pasta special of the day: oxtail casarecce, and it was fantastic. The sauce was creamy and packed with umami. The oxtail was tender and chewy at the same time, somehow both hearty and melt-in-your-mouth. And the pasta itself was clearly fresh--springy, perfectly textured. Fresh pasta really does make all the difference. My coworker ordered the paccheri con zucchine e gamberetti, which I sampled strictly for research purposes. It was lighter and refreshing, with delicate zucchini that made the whole dish feel balanced and satisfying. My other colleague went with the daily secondi special: pesce alla griglia (sea bream). I also tried a bite of that, and it was excellent--crispy skin on the outside, tender and flaky inside, juicy and full of flavour. The only small drawback was that the sides were the exact same vegetables as the ones from our Vegetarian Board, so by round two my colleague was a little overwhelmed by the déjà-vu of vegetables. Then came dessert--easily everyone's favourite part of the night. Two of us ordered the tiramisu, and honestly, it might be one of the best I've had. When they serve it, they pour a freshly brewed shot of espresso over the top, which soaks into the layers and perfectly complements the mascarpone and cream underneath. It was ridiculously good. Our other coworker ordered the pistachio strawberry cake and absolutely demolished it in about two seconds flat, which I think is the highest possible dessert endorsement. Price-wise: this isn't a cheap casual spot, but it's very reasonable for a high-quality dinner. My pasta, dessert, and service came out to almost $70, which felt fair for the experience. The service was excellent, the atmosphere was warm, and overall we had a genuinely lovely dinner. Most importantly, bringing my coworkers here made me look like I actually know what I'm doing when recommending restaurants--which is always a win. Olives or not, I'd happily come back. And next time, I'm thinking date night.

And you certainly won't expect it to be this busy especially on Fridays and weekends. They were quite busy on a lazy Thursday as well. There was not an item that we've tried that disappointed. The margherita pizza was one of the better ones I've had in recent memory. The cheese had a good dairy taste and the sauce gave off a refreshing tomatoey flavour. The crust was a good marriage of doughy chewiness and slight crunch. All the pastas were homemade with an al dente texture. It really didn't matter if it's a cream based sauce or a tomato sauce, the flavours are on point. Out of all of the pastas I've tried, the wild boar which was part the day's special was the one that I'd least prefer. It's not bad, but I wouldn't say the taste of the meat was special in any way. And it was more of a ground up wild boar as opposed to chucks of meat. Would have preferred the latter. I really love their lasagna. Hearty, savoury and done right the Italian way. Pappardelle bolognese was equally nice. They also make a mean mushroom risotto. I have no clue why I spoke about main course first, but I can assure you that's not the order they were served. The arancini were a bit pricey, but again delicious. Caesar salad was solid, but would have preferred a bit more cheese shavings. I've never had dessert here so I can't comment on them. It was tempting to give Ciao Ragazi a 5 star rating, but the service was incredibly slow the first time I was there. I think the kitchen staff was just overwhelmed since the Asian gentleman in the open kitchen was responsible for salads, pizzas and desserts. Also, if they can tone down the sodium level by a pinch, it would have made their food near perfect. I'm a big fan of Ciao Ragazi and so is my family and as a result we've returned several times, both for dine in and takeout.

Dishes we've tried: - Bone marrow: Best enjoyed hot, with a nice refreshing flavour. - Miso black cod: My favorite dish here -- honestly better than what I've had at many Japanese restaurants. The fish was fresh, cooked to perfect tenderness, and beautifully flavored. - Salads: My son loved it; I found it fairly ordinary. - Mushroom pizza: Great dough, creamy, with generous toppings.
