Wasn't really pleased with the service here at all. Since the moment I got here they were trying to sell me stuff. First it was the electronic toothbrush they promote, then it was Invisalign though my teeth are practically straight, then it was a crown that they thought I should get. The dental assistant did not clean my teeth well. She missed the top right half of my teeth when flossing and barely flossed the rest. Before the doctor even checked me she told me my teeth were very clean and all but I did have some dark spots in the back that might just be stains. Finally when the doctor did come, he saw me and was checking my teeth and was like yeah they might be stains, and then after looking and looking and looking was like no they must be cavities. I don't recall him ever looking at my xrays either. They kept using a dental camera to take pictures and explain to me why they thought I had cavities. They also told me the cavities were $200 each and then lowered it on a whim from a $400 total to $130, which seemed a little suspicious. They also told my sister (who has never had a cavity) earlier that same day that she had four cavities that she should take out, same day if possible. They also ridiculously lowered her price. All in all, both my sister and I, though we did not go in together had very similar and uneasy experiences. Ultimately I went someplace else to get a second opinion before committing to redo my fillings and the other doctor told me I didn't have cavities. read more

I had an appt to discuss repairing the bonding he did years ago and teeth whitening. Upon arrival they were sending me to the dental hygienist. I said I have my own hygienist. I have an appointment with Dr Contreras. He was unaware I had an appointment. He spoke with me for a minute re teeth whitening told me to sit down and just started working away at my mouth without discussion. During it, I felt a terrible zap at the nerve of my tooth as there was not enough topical local. He finished the procedure abruptly said he had to go to another patient to do aesthetic procedures and he's late. I was mortified. He didn't discuss anything with me after didn't allow me to look at it with him, rushed out, so the manager made me an appointment the following week to address any concerns as well as fix a hole in one of my teeth that he didn't even do, I assumed because he didn't know I had an appointment and had to rush. I later got a TEXT to cancel my appointment saying he could not fix the tooth because I have a bad bite and it would fall off. I was mortified. I contacted the manager and was given all kinds of excuses, I went to my orthodontist who said he totally disagreed. I had just finished Invisalign a year and a half ago. My Ortho called him on my behalf. He fed him a bunch of BS. After hearing how I was treated he was also baffled. He treated one tooth, but not the other made excuses it was my bite. Never even checked my bite. Used a darker resin color knowing I wanted my teeth whitened Made me a follow up canceled by text??! I never got an apology from the Doctor ..No communication. They charged me would not refund me a penny and also damaged my nerve. I went to my dentist who said now I need to see an endodontist for possible root canal. She also had to fix the tooth he did where the contour of resin was lifting and polishing was needed. She could not do this because of the pain at the tooth. This is what happens when a dentist rushes through a procedure. The office is disorganized and they don't allow a follow-up visit to make sure everything is OK. I will also add the doctors spokes person...The manager has no clue how to run an office if this is how they treat a patient. Im left in pain, will need more work, spend more money to get this fixed. And possible root canal which will cost me thousands! I would definitely not see this dentist regardless of how many good reviews you see this could happen to you. read more

For years I was terrified of the dentist thanks to birch dentists in aventura who charge almost twice or more than Dr.Contreras office. I'm so glad I found these amazing people. They've really become like family (yes, they hold my hand when I'm scared). Doctor in aventura botched my Invisalign braces and actually charge me about $2,000.00 more than Dr.Contreras. The office has parking behind the building and is extremely clean and chic. Beautiful art and photos all around the rooms and halls. He's actually doing my moms full mouth of teeth.. Hers is a bit more complicated and it was still under 40k... compared to other dentists that wanted to charge her wayy over and the fact that they really weren't that great just shows that Dr.Contreras isn't in it for the money. He truly cares for his patients and treats you mouth and face like a piece of art. Always doing his very best to give you the exact results that you want ! I had a terrible experience removing my bottom wisdom teeth with a doctor in aventura. I was in terrible pain during and after the procedure. I just removed my first top wisdom tooth today and it was completely painless!! I couldn't even believe it lol. It's now late night and my face isn't swollen at all and I was able to eat solids totally fine with no pain (fried chicken). I haven't even used the meds they gave me for pain. I'll be back in two weeks to do the other side :) read more

Please do not waste your money by going here :( visiting this place has been one of the worse mistakes of my life . It all started when I bought a Groupon with an affordable deal. Right ? You would think yay I'm happy. Well no, I was welcomed by someone at the front who didn't really seem to be happy to be there, since day one I noticed her tone or sense of entitlement (Gabriela) by just the way she spoke to me.. then I started noticing that she wanted to schedule me only when she had enough customers to have her technicians come in to work , she actually has repeatedly told me many times that they can only see one day if enough clients are scheduled otherwise she won't make her people come in for just me lol (what)???? Regardless I kept re scheduling and re scheduling and dealing with it because of the deal I had scored w Groupon. There was a price to pay!!! Anyways today she called me and said my appt is cancelled again n gave me several other days wayyyy passed my monthly visits, some 2 months apart. Which is useless for me because I wouldn't be following the normal visits required for the treatment to work. She she called she was again extremely rude and said she will refund me n they can't see me anymore ( don't want my business ) it is very unprofessional to do that, or speak to someone like that and to make them feel like they are worth nothing or their business isn't worth it . She said she will give me the remainder of the visits but they can't see me anymore. I will make sure that everyone hears my story . Terrible. The hygenist told me how ugly and horrible my teeth were for an hour and then I got charged $50 for cleaning and x-rays, even though it should be included with my insurance. When I asked why I was being charged, the front desk said something vague, like "it's something in between a regular cleaning and a deep cleaning." WTF???? And my treatment plan included ridiculous and unnecessary procedures like botox in my jaw and lasering my gums. Beware of this place. It's a scam and they will make you feel terrible about your teeth. read more

The gentleman with glasses working the front desk was extremely nasty!! So far from a warm welcome. He did not once apologize for miscommunication on his team's end. I show up for an 8am appointment that was non-existent according to their team. Never once did he say "sorry for the miscommunication." I tried to see what time they could fit me in, but there was no availability. I don't recommend team! I'm in the hospitality industry and am sincere to front desk service teams, however, just eye rolling and personal cell phone checking the entire time.. One thing about customer sevice, customers always remember how you made them feel. I didn't care for my visit at this office, and just figured I'd never go back. I thought that would be the end of it? Right? NOPE!!! This office has nonstop telemarketed me for almost a year. Every time they call I tell them I had a bad experience and to please remove me from the list, and they'll call again 1-2 months later. They always apologize for calling, and then they keep calling!!! Today it was some esthetician calling to tell me about something "free". I hope this office gets their telemarketing lists corrected, cuz they always call/interrupt me when I'm in the middle of something, and I'm really sick of it!!! read more

I unfortunately would not recommend this dentist to anyone. I went in for the first time to this office for a routine cleaning with x-rays. I have never had a problem with my teeth in the past so I was surprised when he told me that I had 3 cavities and provided me with a quote for about $500. I left the office very skeptical and decided to get a second opinion. Upon exam and reviewing the xrays taken in Dr. Contreras' office, the new dentist did not see any area that indicated I had a cavity. Overall, I would not recommend visiting this office. read more

Upon seeing a groupon for this dentist we wanted to try it out because we were looking for a new dentist. Upon arrival they said to wait until the end to give the voucher which was the first red flag. My husband went first and upon being inspection from the dental hygienist she told my husband that it was going to be an additional $100 dollars for his cleaning because according to her he had more tartar and she also told him he needed to come every two months for $100 cleanings. Both of us get our teeth cleaned every 6 months and have never been told we needed deeper cleaning. Ultimately my husband felt like he was being misled and we walked out without continuing the services. If this was how our first visit was starting off we preferred to take the loss of our groupon investment and look for a dentist office that is honest. read more
