We could not wait to come back to Everglades city and enjoy another meal here! Happy to see the same family is still there. You are treated like family the minute you walk in. The menu represents what they enjoy eating and take their time explaining to you their favorites. We loved the shrimp tostone appetizer they make this special red sauce called enchilado and feel we could put that on anything. It's that good! My husband had the lobster enchilada and it was pretty good portion. His favorite also is their black beans. I enjoyed the chicken and the shrimp. However I must warn you. They do use a lot of onions, butter and seasoning so if you're not a fan of that ask him to go light will definitely be back again and love to support family on businesses. Next time we will add dessert and some coffee but we were just too full this time

Wonderful Restaurant! The people here are exceptionally friendly. Very easy to talk to plus are willing to lend assistance! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very honey atmosphere with nice decorations adorning the restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This family run business is what America is about! Super nice people offering wonderful conversation and delicious food! We had a light snack before heading down the road. I had the gator tail which was very tasty and perfectly cooked! My wife had the chicken Caesar salad and liked the fresh greens and juicy chicken. The owners were nice enough to show us how they make their Cuban coffee and it tastes wonderfully delicious! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great place to go and feel welcomed![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The next time we are in the area we will definitely stop by and see these friendly people! And we wish success to their son who is an aspiring stock trader!

Hello, Yelp, long time! January, Everglades City. The waiter asked if I had 30 min, because dinner would be an easy choice if so.

Hello, Yelp! It's been years. Allow me to backfill things here a bit. Back in January, I was in Everglades City and found my way here. Two menu items in particular caught my eye, but the waiter asked if I had 30 minutes, because it'd be an easy choice if so. I kind of wish I framed the red snapper better, but I was too eager to dive in to keep snapping pics. Delicious, and paired with a local hazy IPA (not pictured)

We had the pleasure of dining at Captain Morgan's Seafood Grill in Everglades City last night and it was FANTASTIC! We ordered the shrimp stuffed tostones, medium stone crab claws and the absolute show stopper...the Seafood Enchilada which had the most divine, flavorful broth and was spilling over with fresh seafood. Absolutely one of the best seafood dishes we have ever had (and we are from Miami where good seafood is a staple). Everything we tried was DELICIOUS and NOTEWORTHY! The service was attentive and friendly. It was truly lovely to meet Captain Morgan, his beautiful wife and son who chatted with us and shared their family story. [[HIGHLIGHT]]One of a kind place in Everglades City.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We drove an hour and half for that meal and it was worth every minute. If you're anywhere near Everglades City do yourself a favor and GO SEE CAPTAIN MORGAN AND FAMILY...you can thank me later

Waiter was GREAT. Waitress was cold at first, but good. Expensive, decent menu, good for beverages. We had iced tea and Arnold Palmer. No frills. Had the weird three meat burger, meh, fell apart. Fries were good, not the best as advertised. Caesar salad was fine. Black bean soup was very good. Key Lime pie was good. Again, no frills. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice napkins.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Fine bathroom.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Good parking.

It is a casual seafood restaurant located on the Barron River which connects to the Gulf. There are a few parking spaces in front otherwise it's free street parking where you can find it. There is a school across the street so parking can fill quickly. Most of the seating area is outside so you enter and then find an empty table. Menus are on the table and then a server arrives and takes your order. If the weather is right sitting next to the water is a nice calming experience. I sat in a screen enclosed covered patio. My order was for the fried grouper sandwich with french fries and cole slaw for $27. Yes grouper is expensive. The meal arrived about 10 minutes later. The fried fish fillet sitting in on the long bun was HUGE and it looked delicious too. I was very happy and then I started to eat it. Everything with that sandwich was excellent except its taste. It was the batter for me. The taste wasn't bad at all but it didn't stand out to me. Whatever batter they use to fry with is not my favorite and that is the only reason I don't give a 4 score here. The french fries were excellent in taste and showed me that Triad's puts effort in making them. Also the slaw was cool and a nice palate cleanser. The table service was friendly and attentive. I like Triad's and would be happy to return. But I would probably try something else on the menu that isn't fried. The batter taste is my opinion and I'm sure others will disagree. Another fact about eating here is that they charge 3.5% more for credit cards use. With an iced tea, tax and tip, my lunch cost $40...kind of expensive for Everglades City, FL.

Island Cafe had several cars parked in front so I thought that was a good sign. This is a table service restaurant and I ordered the fried scallop dinner with a loaded baked potato and salad for $25. Then entree arrived about 15 minutes later. The salad had a little cheese on top of the greens with ranch dressing on the side. It was a good salad. The seafood came with several fried scallops and a couple of hush puppies along with a small ear of corn and the baked potato. What was missing was the cheese and bacon for the potato. The waitress disappeared so I wasn't able to get the missing bacon and cheese and had to make do with some butter for the tater. This was disappointing. The scallops were decent in taste but I couldn't get anymore cocktail sauce because of the missing waitress. This meal was substandard and I felt underwhelmed by the entire experience. The food was ok in taste but it didn't stand out to me and the table service was non existent. Perhaps Island Cafe is better than this but giving a 3 score is generous in my opinion.
