We picked up a few pizzas for an event from here, and starting with the phone call, when putting in the order, it was very professional and friendly and polite! Never thought to try out Marcos's pizza because I always tend to go towards other pizza chains, but decided to give this one a try and oh my gosh this pizza is delicious. The crust is perfectly chewy and not oily or greasy on the bottom. The toppings were fresh and my husband likes all meats and it was loaded with meats and oozy cheese. It was definitely superior to any of the pizza chains that we typically go to! When I picked up the pizzas, they were hot fresh and ready. Also right when you walk in it smells like freshly baked pizza dough and customer service is again friendly and polite. Will definitely order from here again! read more

I don't live near a Marco's but when visiting family we will stop in here. Pizza is always good. I love the triple pepperoni magnifico. This past time it was good as always. However, this time when picking up the pizza I was impressed. I didn't get his name but the guy are the cash register is always friendly. This time though there was a gentleman picking up after me. He seemed to have some mobility difficulties and had a cane. While I was in my car getting ready to leave I saw the guy from the cash register helping this gentleman bring his order to his car. I know a lot of other places that would just give him his order and move on while he struggled to get to his car. Thank you for that. I was coming back anyway but this is a good location with good workers. Another side note. It's of course take out only but I appreciate that it appears to be very clean. read more

I order a veggie pizza with extra spinach and no feta. the employee was nice and said he will take care of it. They charge for extra spinach but hardly no spinach. I called to the store and said there's nothing he can do and hung up the phone. Customer service has gone down to the gutter. I'm so disappointed that they have done that. I'm due for an update from last April - we still continue to order probably twice monthly. They've stepped up the game a bit since my last review and make it more frequently how we like it. For me, extra crispy with light cheese. Hubby changes it up with every order, but he is usually satisfied. Their app needs updates - it isn't efficient and crashes frequently and we've recently had to call our orders. They rarely remember when we ask for ranch or marinara sides so we have to check the boxes before we leave. Improvements are here, but there's still some room for those extra stars. read more

I'll be honest. In all my years living in the area, I never gave Marco's Pizza a second thought. I've been on a health kick lately and in search of cauliflower pizza. Marco's came up on Yelp. The rest is history. I came in on a Sunday afternoon. I didn't realize it's strictly take out as there was only 1 table inside. I was met at the counter immediately. I ordered a small cauliflower pizza with mushrooms and spinach. I was told 10-15 minutes and it was ready as promised. It was delicious! It's a thin crispy crust. This makes me so happy. Ive had some decent pizzas from here in the past. I'd even go as far as saying that I've spent a considerable amount of money here. However, my order tonight was strait garbage. All dough. Ordered pepperoni double mushroom got double pepperoni regular mushroom. Giant slices, razor thin slices....whoever worked there tonight either get rid of them or send them to rehab. On the new Marguerita pizza the ad for it shows plenty of tomatoes, mozzarella and basil. Upon receiving new pizza there was not enough tomatoes, mozzarella and basil. For a large at $10.99. Don't order through Yelp. I ordered through their grub hub service on Yelp, and even though it said order received, then order is ready, they never received it. I went in to get it, I was told "ten more minutes". I was there for about 30-40 minutes until they told me they don't receive orders through Yelp. Then why not edit your business page on here or put a notice or something? Got my money back when I called grubhub. Food is good, but I was really turned off by all this. I ordered 15 hot wings and 15 garlic parmesan. First time ordering from here and it was ridiculously disappointing. The wings barely had meat on them, most of it being fat or skin. Low quality chicken wings. The hot wing sauce was Frank's and it was watered down to the point that it didn't stick, and wasn't hot. You can tell in the picture. I love mushrooms pizza! Living in VB for 24 years. The best pizza I've ever had here. I'm from NJ, and have looked high and low for a great northern pizza. It almost brought me to tears. I love it! Hello, I live in Chesapeake, VA and the Marco Pizza establishment on Kempsville Road doesnt deliver in my zip code. Therefore, I ordered through DoorDash delivery service online. I ordered my pizzas with extra cheese and they did not appear to have extra cheese on them. I called the restaurant and explained my concern to a staff member; who rudely told me that she could not do anything for me and to take it up with DoorDash. All I wanted was a refund for the extra cheese charges. Note: I have ordered from this restaurant many times before at work for pickup orders and this was my first time ordering online for delivery to my home; I was very shocked to hear a member of your team redirecting me to DoorDash, and not transferring me to speak with a manager. User's recommendation: Don't order through DoorDash it's best to go pick up your product in person and address any issues with your pizza face-to-face. read more

Marcos is the best "chain" pizza spot in Virginia Beach and outlying cities. If you want consistency and quality then marcos is your spot. They have the best pizza and wings by far. Compared to Dominos, Pizza Hut, Calz, Salz, Channellos, Papa John's, etc can not hold a candle to this quality of food. The pizza is almost just as good the third day in the fridge as when you got it fresh. The crust doesn't get hard and the wings are delicious and not soggy like you may find at other pizza chains. I don't understand why people love this pizza. Maybe it's the amount of cheese. Here's what I liked, the cheese is browned just right. The sauce is meh, but better than most chain pizza joints. As for the crust, it had some flavor. It is not cardboard take out pizza. What I thought could be better was the crust. This is where the foundation of every great pizza starts. Marco's crust lacks depth. It's squishy and chewy. The bottom of the pie isn't soggy, but a great pizza should be crisp and crack when folded. Marcos pizza folded like a warm blanket. While the cheese is browned nicely, it's too much. It drowns out the sauce and bottom of the crust. As for the sauce, I'm guessing it has sugar in it. I only order cheese pizza on my first try with a pizza restaurant. This is an honest review from a self admitted "Pizza Snob". Would I go here again? Maybe. If I was traveling and there was nothing around but fast food. Otherwise, for those looking for great pizza, this is not it. For the record, I ate three slices, not bad tasting, just not worthy of rating it a great pizza. read more

Definitely my new favorite pizza, they have cup-n-char "old-fashioned pepperoni"which is the small ones they are so full of great taste definitely not playing tasting like the big pepperoni are. We ordered up a "old fashion pepperoni" with sausage oh my goodness it was great the crust to sauce ratio was good and full of good favor and it was hot and fresh all my goodness I was in heaven. Growing up in western New York cup-n-char pepperoni is a staple on most good pizzas non-chain pizzas. Sadly down this way most people don't know what cup-n-char pepperoni, Marco's Pizza how is it in they do a great job putting it on the pie. My fist time ordering Marcos pizza ever was tonight. I saw an episode of undercover boss. Didn't even know Who they were or what they were about. Drove past it a ton of times because it's a mile from my house. I must say I'm super likely to order again and become a regular customer for the following reason. When we used the app to order. They called me within 10 mins to check a detail of the order to make sure it's what I wanted - awesome. When the order arrived before handing me the pizza the delivery gent read out what the order was out loud to confirm it with me. Woot! And finally the pizza itself was fantastic. I was so excited when I saw that Marco's Pizza was opening near me. I have been wanting to try this place for the longest time. I have to say... Marco's lived up to my expectations big time! I easily ordered online and the pizza was ready on time as promised. I ordered a pepperoni pizza and cinnasquares for dessert. The pizza was ridiculously good. So much better than the other chains. Perfectly cooked with a ton of crispy pepperoni on top. It even looked pretty! The cinnasquares were delicious too. My whole car smelled like cinnamon on the way home. The staff member who waited on me was awesome! So courteous and friendly. She even opened the door for me on the way out. Great customer service. Thanks for the great pizza experience!
