We don't know what's going on in your personal life when we enter your establishment just as you don't know what's going on in ours.. you expect us to repect your business upon entering as we expect a level of service and professionalism that makes us feel good about spending our money. If your loss was going to impact your service maybe inform people when they enter that service is going to be a little slow due to short staff. However, today was extra special. Today, Joseph was our server. He was probably the best server I have ever had (and we go out to eat quite often). He was SUPER attentive in a great way. I told my family he makes me feel as if we were his only table. He offered great suggestions for enhancing our meal with grilled onions/mushrooms.
