Called and spoke to Jose after placing my order online through DoorDash to help modify my order as they've done plenty of times before (remove the sausage from my breakfast burrito) however he half confirmed it and hung up on me. Tried calling back twice to no answer. Got my breakfast burrito and of course it contained meat Called the store and spoke to the manager Rick who conveniently couldn't find my order and basically told me there was nothing he could do anyway and to contact DoorDash. I understand mistakes happen but passing the blame onto DoorDash and not willing to take any of the blame or even offer a half assed apology/try to make it right is a new low for customer service. Summary - food is good (but basic) but dislike this chain location bc of how I don't like the decor at all. Food/menu - good but nothing amazing tbh. Tasted like regular brunch food that you can get anywhere else. The only thing that made it stand out was how their hash browns are like cheese potato casseroles. Baby idk what the hell was going on with my visit here. The waitress was cool, very nice but she was trying to do superstar waitress activity and she hasn't gotten there yet. Messing up my order left and right and coming back to clarify or cause she forgot what I said! sis...write it down, I promise you it's OK to use a pad! I ordered the toasted yolk coffee, no ma'am, I even sweetened it, no help. I regularly drink this mixup so idk why this wasn't jiving. They took it off and I ordered something cold (maybe the cold brew) and it was better but still not recommendable. My companion loved her Bloody Mary lol so if you like that drink, try it. Went on a Sunday morning with some friends and was a bit overwhelmed by the menu. It's HUGE which can be intimidating, but also means that the is something for everyone. I got the west coast arnold with a side of hashbrowns. I also go to try some of my friend's french toast, fried banana peppers, and seasonal pancakes. The west coast arnold was exactly what I wanted in terms of a savory breakfast. I loved the cajun turkey and crispy bacon with the creamy avocado and cholula ranch. I was a bit disappointed that the poached eggs were over cooked and essentially boiled, so I did not get the runy/jammy yolk I was looking forward too. (6/10) The hashbrowns were mushy and had a bit too much cheese in them for my liking. I typically like my hash browns crispy so this also missed the mark for me. (4/10) The french toast was just bread with a heap of butter. No cinnamon flavor or the hint of sweetness you'd typically expect. (3/10) The fried banana peppers were exactly what you'd expect. They had a good batter on them that reminded me of calamari rings, but they just had the sourness/ acidity of banana pepper. Did not love them but did not hate them either. (5/10) The seasonal pancakes had two huge pancakes with mascarpone in between and a berry compote on top. The mascarpone was bland and did not add anything to the dish and I did not like how the berry compote was warmer than the pancakes themselves. I will say that this was the best dish in terms of value as the portion they give is much more generous. (4/10) Overall, the ambiance was casual and diner-like and the service was standard. I had never been here before and with only two cars in the parking lot I wasn't even sure they were open. However, on a Tuesday morning in a strip center off the highway it made sense. I was greeted nicely by workers as I walked in and was quickly taken to my table. Just as I was seated the server brought menus and took my coffee order. I ordered the veggie scramble and a side biscuit with the hash brown casserole. First off, WOW! The hash brown casserole was amazing. The scramble was one of the best I've ever had! The biscuit was nice size and a "real" biscuit - not the multi layer kind or the weird kind you get at some fast food chains. I don't know what coffee they serve but it was smooth and dark. I had 2 big mugs! The server was attentive but not overbearing. And other than being chilly inside, the place itself was nice. I'd come here again even if it's not at all near me. I just happened to be driving up the highway and decided to stop. I hope if you decide to stop you have as an amazing experience as I had today. The shining star at this restaurant was the receptionist. The weight staff practically ignored me, and I ordered the. Two egg breakfast deluxe with sausage, hash brown casserole, and a biscuit. Everything was cold and you would think for this price you would get fresh-cooked sausage, but they served me pre-cooked sausage, and I'm not even convinced that they even put it on the flat top to heat it. I have been here before, and it was much better. Today was a complete disappointment. The restrooms were not well kept I went in there to flush valves are rusty, and the corners of the floor. For the price you really get a great value. So, first suggestion (unless you want extra Mayo) and I'll remember next time I go, when you order make sure and tell them no extra Mayo on the bread. The mix in the chicken salad was good but they added extra on top piece of bread which I didn't figure out until almost done with first half. They also put cut up grapes in it which is really good as a sweet kick to it. The salad was also really good as they chop up the tomatoes, cucumbers and other stuff which makes it easy to eat. This is a reasonably good option for vegetarians at breakfast. They have crepes, yogurt, pancakes, waffles, french toast, and donuts. There is a Golden Gate omelet with spinach, mushrooms, broccoli, tomatoes, and feta cheese, and the Eiffel Tower omelet allows you to build your own combination. There is also a vegetable scramble with onions, green peppers, tomatoes, spinach, mushrooms, Monterey Jack cheese, and queso. I wish more places offered an vegetarian benedict, and of course you can request "no meat," but they often still include it, or they don't substitute a different ingredient, like avocados or tomatoes. I ordered the Arnold sans the Canadian bacon, and they brought it as requested. It was made well, but it was still meh because it was just egg, English muffin and a bit of hollandaise sauce. If I had one suggestion, it would be to add a vegetarian variation of eggs benedict to the menu. I also had a cranberry mimosa, and it was pretty good. My daughter had the waffles with strawberries, and she really enjoyed them. I think this a good place that could be made better for vegetarians, but to be fair, there are still multiple options for breakfast. Stopped here with friends on the way to the Woodlands. I've never been to this chain before but I envisioned it to be similar to Snooze or Barnaby's. The interior was not very cute or aesthetic at all (probably predictable given its exterior), but I wasn't gonna let that first impression cloud anything. We ordered shrimp & grits, a chicken sandwich with fries, and the shrimp salad. The food was very bland. My friend who ordered the shrimp & grits needed to add salt/pepper and hot sauce- the only reason she kept eating was because she was starving. The friend who ordered the salad also agreed the shrimp was not seasoned. She did like the lemon vinaigrette sauce on the salad but it wasn't evenly distributed. As for the chicken sandwich, the chicken was incredibly thin and also not seasoned, while the bacon was SO greasy that it left a pool on the plate. The fries were okay, needed more crisp. As for service, it was INCREDIBLY SLOW. It was a combination of being seated in the corner and our new server. He wrote each order out so slow on his notepad. And when it was time for the check, he took 10 minutes to pick up our cards. My only reason for 2 stars is the price point isn't bad for the portions and the staff do seem nice. The Ambiance: We visited this location Sunday after church( got there around 10 am) There was a good amount of people there and the wait time wasn't long at all. The location is very relaxed; we ran into a small hiccup when it came to cleanliness before seating us, but that was fixed right away. Our Order: Donuts "Churro style": You'll receive 4 donuts that are light and airy. I love this because I have a difficult time enjoying a donut that is too dense. I also advise to dust off some of the cinnamon / sugar on the donuts as it's a lot but that is minor. The donuts were tasty, the caramel sauce was perfectly paired, and all around this is a great shareable. We couldn't finish them all as you literally only need 1 1/2 per person. Two eggs and a Cake: I wanted to play it safe and go for the basic french toast and it was good. I left feeling I should've added an extra step and plan to come back to do that soon.The grits were good as well. They are not the watery kind, so they'll definitely stick and I wondered if it was possible to add the sauce from the shrimp and grits to it(I'll get into that for that review later). The eggs were good and the chicken sausage was great. I do wish they would've had turkey bacon as an option, Regular bacon gives me headaches and due to this being the only option I had a terrible headache all day. Shrimp and grits: Shrimp and Grits were amazing. It is normally hard to find a dish that's truly centered around how it's done back home. So I kept an open mind when my husband ordered it. We both enjoyed it with a minor critique. The sauce chosen was different and paired perfectly with the grits (this is something that some may not enjoy if your thinking of how it's done in Louisiana, but if you have an open mind, you'll enjoy the differences). Our critique is for the shrimps. My husband prefers them cooked a little tougher; where I prefer the softness in shrimp. We both agree the shrimp was too soft and could be cooked slightly longer. It gave the cooked to meet the not raw standard but not fully well done if you can understand what I'm saying. Other than that the dish was great. Drink: We order apple juice, it was good but my only critique is to be sure to give customers clean cups. We had to ask for new ones and opted to go with the plastic to be sure we don't run into that issue again. Service: Our waiter (TJ) was kind and very helpful when choosing our dishes. We probably wouldn't have chosen the shrimp and grits if he didn't mention them so that was a plus added to our dine in experience. Payment: Payment is quick and easy. There's no automatic gratuity and it's not based on the whole table. Overall we would definitely return and encourage others to try.
