Tried Marco's when it first open and wasn't a fan. The great reviews made me wanna try again but yea I still wasn't a fan. I get the normal crust and it was so thick I can't imagine what the the thick crust was. The pizza had little to no flavor and the ranch was sour. I ordered 8 XL pizzas for a work place pizza party and it was soooo good! The staff worked hard to get the pizzas ready at the time promised and they succeeded. There isn't any indoor dining but there are tables outside. This location is nestled in a cute shopping center on Victoria and Telegraph Rd in Ventura. With busy lives and 5 active kids sometimes pizza is the only answer at 830pm after a long day. Marcos opened up recently and we just so happened to be finishing up at a school event right around the corner. I utilized the online order which was easy to navigate and gives you the option to pay cash which is nice not having to fumble through a wallet in the middle of a band concert. Ordered the old world pepperoni special for $10 and a Hawaiian to satisfy everyone's flavor cravings. They also have a pizza bowl which is cheese, sauce and toppings in a bowl for a lower carb option. The pizzas were ready by the time our event finished quick and easy pick up. The pizzas absolutely exceeded my expectations!! I expected a notch above little cheesers but got a respectable pizza that was very well done! The balance between dough, and toppings was perfect with a fluffy flavored crust that ate like a breadstick. We ordered online for delivery at 5:00 pm. I called at 5:20 because my pizzas had not yet been delivered. The man I spoke to said that they were suddenly busy and that it was on the way. That turned out to be a lie. I was contacted a few minutes later by a door dash driver telling me that my pizzas were still going to be a while as they had not even been made yet ( this was at 5:30). I was surprised because I did not even order through door dash. I tried calling the restaurant three times to see what was going on and nobody answered. I discovered Marco's a few years ago , I was working as a caregiver in the east end and wanted to order in dinner, what a true find! I was impressed. With how the pizza came piping hot, the ingredients were on point, and the flavor was zesty! My order was a large Pepperoni Magnifico pizza, a ten piece buffalo wings, and the cheesy bread. The pizza was amazing! Very good for the value. Get it with extra extra butter on the crust tho! Trust me. The wings get them well done. They are a bit too squishy just regular baked. The cheesy bread was disappointing thought. No cheese pull, very bland. Though the texture is nice. I wouldn't recommend the cheesy bread though. I paid around 30 bucks which isn't bad at all for all the items we got. Definitely would go back! read more
