If you believe as I do that ice cream solves everything, or rather great, wholesome ice cream solves everything, this is your place. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Cool pier side location with nice lighting, not a lot of seating, but this is meant to grab and enjoy while walking amongst the boats docked there.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Employees were kind and patient as my kiddos sampled nearly everything! I had the malted chocolate with a fish waffle cone which they made right then and there and the combo of cold ice cream with just from the oven cone was great!

I got the fish with Nutella and match. The match wasn't very green tea flavor which was disappointing. Had to wait a while for them to make the fish. Friend got the cotton candy and liked it. I tried it and it was super sweet. Might try again.

When you walk in, you are greeted right away. The vegan options are good. They are tasty. It's like having soft serve big stick. Awesome flavor profiles. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside is spacious, and you could enjoy your dessert there or outside with the nice scenic surroundings.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The ice cream is good too! Fresh made "fish" was delicious with the cookie monster ice cream. Love it all. Great experience, if you want ice cream, come get some!

Ice cream is delicious always hits the spot. Service is fast you're in and out of there. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very busy place definitely has a lot of people coming in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a cool little spot right on the harbor.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

After trying the hot fish with the cream from coastal cone... I am obsessed. Everytime I go to the harbor I have to stop and get an order. They are so good and fresh off the press. You almost have to wait a few because they are so hot. The cream on the inside is delicious. The ice cream always looks good as well. But I like these too much to get anything else. This is one of my nieces favorite ice cream shops. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They are always busy even on a cold windy day like today. That's how you know it's good![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I like coastal cone for their sorbet. My niece likes them for literally everything else because according to her 'they have so much good stuff'. Service is always friendly and never rushed. They offer samples but I always get one of their sorbets. Ample parking in a large lot (free only on some days and not the weekends), they are facing the harbor and not the parking lot so you have to walk in to see them.

Very very yummy!!!! My son absolutely enjoyed his ice cream this morning ;) service was fast and smooth!

The inside of the fish cone was filled with chocolate fudge

First time trying it. It was very tasty! They had so many flavors and choices, it was hard to decide! I definitely want to go back to try more. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]what a lovely place to grab ice cream and walk alonside the harbor.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] there are so many flavors offered. the staff were really accommodating -- I wanted the ube-matcha remix soft serve and they ran out but they offered the ube soft serve atop the matcha ice cream, which we got with the fish cone ($9.50). loved the fish cone itself -- it was crispy outside and chewy inside. freshly made, it contrasted well with the ice cream. the ube was strong and the texture was good. the matcha was kind of light in color and more icy than creamy but still tasted of matcha. would visit again!

Coastal Cone is a great spot for ice cream cones and sundaes in the Ventura harbor. I definitely understand its popularity, with only so many super kid free options for dining and snacks in the harbor, it's a treat I'm sure many kids look forward to when they come. I mean who doesn't love a good ice cream shop? Always delicious smells coming from this spot as they bake their famous fish ice cream cones. Cute decor and signage makes this place inviting. Since I'm not a huge sweets fan, you'll never catch me coming here when there is a long line lol. Which sometimes there is. However, I've wondered in a few times off speak hours when there were no lines and I could grab a quick bite. I'm one of those people who really has to be in the mood for ice cream. So I've only been here like 3 times in the last 10 years. Upon my most recent visit last week, I came in on a dreary day and there were almost no customers. Staff were friendly but nothing over the top or memorable. They got me in and out which is A-okay on my books. I opted for the pineapple coconut ice cream and it hit the spot. Delicious. Also I will give them credit for it only being one scoop they did load it pretty big. Mainly the reason for my one star just comes down to pricing. Almost $7 for a one scoop cone. To me it's not worth the price but yes, when having a random craving it's fine. But for a family of 5 that's as much as dining in somewhere for a simple ice cream. Idk how people afford it. All of that to say, coastal cone is great for the community, good ice cream, just a bit too pricey for them to be on my regular rotation.

On busy weekends, there are long lines. But it goes quick and they are very well organized on how they handle crowds. Ordered a pineapple float and triple seas drink! Yummy!! Great view. People watching is awesome. Grab a treat and just sit, relax and watch the boats, people and listen to music.

Everytime we come to Ventura harbor, we have to come to coastal cone. Everything slaps! The crew is always friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is patio seating with a nice view of the harbor.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I usually order one of their signature fish cones. Today I ordered a classic fudge sundae. It was $14. I thought it was a little pricey for a basic sundae, buuuuut I did share it withy husband, so what's whatever.

Located right next to the water, Coastal Cone has long been a staple at the Ventura Harbor. It's a great treat to enjoy while walking around. It's also right across the street from the beach, so a quick hop to grab a sweet treat while sitting in the sun. Their menu is so fun and filled with so many different choices that you'd be hard-pressed to not find something you'd like. Their Ube Island was delicious - generous portion of Ube soft serve with Oreo crumbles. A great combination of soft ice cream with the crunchy Oreos. They can definitely get busy here, but they're like a well-oiled machine inside - very efficient with lots of different lines open. It's worth the wait.

How much are those zookies like fish pancakes?

    2 for $6.50

Do they have anything thats vegan?

I think they may have some sherbet that is dairy free.

One of the reviews said the shop is very dog friendly. Do they regularly have dogs there then? I want to take my kids there but have one that is terrified of dogs due to a bad incident.

I haven't seen any inside while ordering... but I've seen dogs tied up to the tables or chairs while people are eating. People also walk their dogs on the sidewalk regularly.

The building is an original, 60s beach modern. It's a bit rundown, but it's clean and the staff is friendly, with plenty of parking and seating. Large menu of various burger shack food items: burgers, hot dogs, tacos, (fried!) burritos, chicken, fries, rings and of course, their famous soft serve! The soft serve is the thickest and creamiest, and comes in all shapes including cones, dips, sundaes, malts, blizzards and our favorite, their shakes. I have not had a better strawberry shake anyplace, including expensive ice cream shops. The crinkle fries are always hot and crispy and the food items are what you would expect - fast food but a notch up from the major chains. It's cash only and like most places, prices have increased over the last few years, but we will continue to return whenever we are in the area or passing through.

I usually buy ice cream from a truck, but today I felt like going to a store, so I visited. The store's interior is classic and reflects Mr. Softee's history. Looking at the old photographs displayed in the store, you can see that Mr. Softee has been loved by people for a long time. I usually order a simple vanilla soft-serve ice cream from the truck, but since I was at the store, I decided to try something different. I had a strawberry sundae, and my friend had a warm chocolate cookie sundae. Of course, both were delicious. The ice cream here is simple and reminds me of the ice cream I had as a child. They also sell original merchandise in the store, which was really fun. It's a fun place for both children and adults. They seemed more interested in closing than helping customers, and the service reflected that. We ordered two twist cones with sprinkles, and each cone got a single spoonful of sprinkles. At the Camarillo location, the tops are always covered, so this felt cheap and intentional rather than an honest mistake. If serving customers 30 minutes before closing is a problem, the posted hours should reflect that. Between the unfriendly service and the noticeably skimpy portions, this location doesn't live up to the Mister Softee name. We won't be back!

I stumbled in here for lunch today, as I love the bartender Rebecca who works here! She's a great cocktail mixologist and is always super friendly and bubbly. The staff here are really great though... Today both Rebecca and Brenda helped me and the service was a 10 out of 10! Everyone is so friendly and attentive. Also, I was super impressed with the back kitchen as they were cranking out dishes, which is what you want when you're having a "quick on the go lunch". I really love how they've decorated this bar/restaurant. It's fun but cozy, definitely they have great creativity with making the space as it's unique and done just right. I love the neon signs, the comfortable lounge chairs/sofas and the rugs. Makes for a great spot to stay a while. Cocktails were solid and they have an impressive selection of Whiskey is here. I'm keeping that in mind the next time I come for cocktails downtown. The food though was a home run and far exceeded my expectation. I started with the onion rings that were perfectly fried and super fresh/crispy. I love that the onion rings were paired with both a ranch and a chipotle sauce. I'm a sauce girl so if you give me multiple sauces, I'm happy. No joke, but I also just had the best Caesar salad I found in the county yet here! Kudos to the bartender Rebecca for suggesting it when I was debating between different dishes... I trusted her judgment when she told me it's one of her favorites and it turned out to be my favorite dishes too! The Caesar salad was perfectly dressed and had a great amount of cheese and croutons. Honestly, this is my dream salad lol. I'd highly recommend you order this when you come here because I can't stop thinking about it... I know it's just a salad and it's a relatively simple salad when you think about it, but it's done so incredibly well here. Overall, I had a really great experience here and will be back soon!
