What a cute little place! I love how they decorated the store as well as the outside space, very garden like ambiance. I tried the vermicelli noodle with grilled pork and braised tofu. It was ok, the house special garlic peanut sauce made it taste much better. The Vietnamese cold brew coffee tasted like the much lighter version of the regular Vietnamese iced coffee. It was ok, I personally prefer the stronger taste of the regular version. Food came out a bit slow even though it wasn't busy. I initially came for the sandos which are filled with various different fruits and a lightly sweetened whipped cream on Japanese milk white bread , but after seeing the unique drink menu I decided to give one a try also and both of them did not disappoint! Have been wanting to try this place for a while so was glad when we finally made the drive to Camarillo. Lots of great cafe drink options! Came during the holidays so grabbed myself a Holiday Hot Chocolate, which was not only delicious but perfect for the rainy weather outside. Wow, love this place! I feel like I found a hidden gem. It's like a poke place got together with a Vietnamese place and this was born. I wanted to give this place a try because I saw that the spring rolls were just massive. I found out the reason why they are so large when I went into the store. It's because you can put whatever you want into the roll. It is really DIY. The rolls were delicious. I got the tofu, chicken, and beef. My only complaint would be there wasn't enough sauce given considering how large the rolls were however, the rolls were flavorful enough to eat by themselves. I think if I were to come again, I would try their noodle bowls. I also orders the roasted oolong tea with cream top. If you're looking to get your boba fix in Camarillo, Kraft Vermicelli is the way to go. It's a small shop nestled in Old Town and a great "late-night" spot (they close at 9pm but that's pretty late according to Camarillo standards haha). I love Kraft for their boba and their fruit sandos. During my last visit, I ordered the melon cream melon smoothie. I love honeydew so this order is on the rotation for me :) My husband ordered their guatcha (guava matcha -- one of their specials) and it was alright. The guava tasted good but the matcha was a little watered down. One thing about Kraft that I appreciate is that their drinks are not too sweet! I normally order a drink 50% sweet, but here, I get 75%, sometimes even 100%. My other favorite drinks on the menu are their house cream tea and their wintermelon green tea. The fruit sandos are delicious as well! They're nothing overly complex (just white bread, fresh fruit, and whipped cream), but they're the perfect little treat for a dessert or a pick-me-up snack after work. Their food is just okay. I do like the customization and convenience of their bowls and spring rolls, and their meat is seasoned well, but their sauces (especially their house garlic and nuoc mam) could use more flavor. I ended up getting a strawberry matcha which was good and also a sando sandwich which was not too bad. First time. Placed an online order... Vermicelli noodle with half rice base. Proteins are chicken and shrimp. The proteins were lacking in taste/flavor. Slightly bland. The price is a bit high based on the portion. Could have more chicken and shrimp. We also asked for the fish sauce on the side. It was neither in the food nor on the side. Too bad. We also ordered three drinks. We ordered: - Brown sugar milk tea with 50% sugar, but it tasted super sweet as if it was 150%. - Seven wonders fruit tea. This was okay. - Vietnamese coffee was disappointing considering this is a Vietnamese establishment. I asked for light ice only to get 3 sips then I opened the cover and saw over 70% of the cup was shaved ice. This obviously diluted the coffee as I paid for bland shaved ice. As for the place itself, it is quite small in old town Camarillo. The pics on the Internet appear bigger than it actually is. It was dark inside, they had the lights off. Ingredients are really fresh and include cilantro, jalapeño, mixed greens, garlic chips, sesame seeds and an "egg roll." They have plenty of dipping sauces to choose from as well like peanut, garlic, hoisin and traditional which is fish sauce. I also ordered an oolong cream tea with boba (75 percent sweetness) which was delicious. The tea tasted excellent, was fresh brewed and the boba was slightly sweet. I don't recall what I got then. we were in the area again, I was with a few friends and wanted Boba so we decided to come here since I like supporting small business. It was Thai tea and jasmine tea, We asked for something else as the Thai teas was not great! she was going to charge us for a whole new drink which was already over priced!. This has never happened before, she remade the drink because she refused to make another drink and it was just as disgusting so my husband left it inside and we left. I don't recall her name however I notified the owner, I was sent a message back within one day apologizing for that and to return again. I didn't however I waited a couple months and I went. I had better drinks this time I had the fresh teas which I would recommend. I went on a Friday during lunch time! They were busy but didn't expect to wait for 30 minutes to get two drinks. I haven't tried your food so I would have to try it to see how it is. However, if that cashier is ever there, I would ask to be helped by somebody else if she still works there. Almost a 4. I ordered a few things to try. I picked the vermicelli bowl, the spring rolls, strawberry and kiwi Sando, and a jasmine almond milk tea with boba. It's a bit pricey. But the food tasted fresh and new. You get peanut sauce(thick), teriyaki sauce(thick), and garlic sauce(watery) in your to go bag. Labeled and packed well. I suggest using the peanut sauce and the teriyaki sauce. Really enhances the flavor. The tea was a bit bland and the sando looks good but is basically whipped cream and some fruit. Very small menu. Good options though. The customer service was pleasant. And the food is good as leftovers. Plants all around, mostly outside but some inside. A nifty little nook.
