Friend and I visited this place on the accident. This was on the only place open late. Fortunately ; we weren't disappointed. The bartender was pro with making the drinks. She made the drinks just right. The bartender was cool and laidback. We are definitely coming back for the bartender and the key lime pie. The bartender was great conservationist. I was hungry and was driving down Cicero so I stopped. Negative thoughts first: This place needs a facelift "Restaurant Makeover" desperately. However, for the strong note, though I was the only person of color in the place and stared at by a few bar patrons, the staff was exceptionally friendly and the service outstanding. attended singo last night with a group of coworkers and overall was an amazing experience and the food was great, however, the bartender could've cared less about how she was treating her customers. first off, we asked if she would be willing to split the check & we were told to "figure it out yourselves". secondly, we were over charged and tried to talk to her about it & she had the audacity to use the statement of "i'm the only sober one here". overall, her service wasn't all that great either. read more

This place is tops!!! Absolutely great food in a hole in the wall bar. It has a "bar" vibe, but don't let that dissuade you. We will even bring our kids here during the day. My favorite item is the flame burger, made as a chicken sandwich (you can substitute chicken for burger), with fries and ranch. Would often come here for date nights and would also get carry out anytime I was in the area. It's just delicious food. They will also do some seasonal cocktails, which are fun to try, and always have good prices. read more

I've came here plenty of times with my older brother while I was in the area. The thing that really sucks the most is the parking situation simply because you don't want your car towed in the abandoned Aldi Parking lot. Food here is absolutely phenomenal, cooked to perfection and at a decent price too! Drink prices are fair. The guests here are in a variety of ages which to me is perfect. Usually sports are being played. It's got an outdoor area as well. Handicap accessible entry as well. Tons of gambling machines. The place isn't run down either which is cool. Love love love! Marcottes bar & grill. I just finished the second half of my bfs cheeseburger that he had a couple hours ago and it was delicious! Honestly so good, the meat the bun. Portions are perfect. I've also had the chicken Alfredo in the past, their pot roast, buffalo chicken salad and/or wrap. They are all SO SO GOOD! Feels like family cooking! Good Midwest vibes. They really need to change out the fryer oil alot more often-- the fries are coming out dark brown and taste like chicken.. ugh!

Finding a restaurant comparable to Perkins for having solid appetizers is difficult. However, we've found that this joint does it fairly well! They have a very reasonably priced menu and a large appetizer platter to accommodate our needs. If I would suggest a single improvement, it would be to offer more than a single player. OR, to have some way to be a "pick four" from a mix of appetizer options. That way, it might offer greater variety and options. read more

I had to drive down Cicero for a meeting and was trying to kill some time and saw Marcotte's. I stopped in and was welcomed by some friendly staff and ordered a cheeseburger. Went last night to play trivia with friends. Nice cold buckets and friendly, fast service. Food was lacking though. Ordered loaded nachos which consisted of a small dinner plate of like 20 chips with a few green peppers and probably 10 pieces of diced chicken and 0 cheese. There also was a strange white sauce, maybe ranch, that I think was supposed to chihuahua cheese. Ordered a few other appetizers that were bland, small and all had strange white sauce on them. This place is awesome!!! Stopped in on my Happy Hour Tour with a couple of friends and was pleasantly pleased. The atmosphere was great as was the bar tender. The Happy Hour Specials were just as advertised and definitely was a hit. Was able to sit out and enjoy the patio area as it wasn't too hot yesterday. The other patrons there made the trip even more enjoyable as they were friendly with their bar banter and not for sure if this guy was the owner either way his comedic timing was everything and I'll definitely be back!!! Stopped by after golf. Music was loud and club sounding when we walked in. Not sure if we wanted to stay? However, the music volume was turned down and the choices of songs improved. I lived near Here for 4 years and never ventured in. Then, recently, a friend invited me here and I finally got to check it out. Small place with limited parking but the food was rather tasty. I ordered a burger with bacon and it included raw red onion/lettuce/tomato. It was amazing for bar food. The Meat was good quality and the bun was soft. I also ordered a pear mule which was satisfying. The waiter wasn't over friendly but not odd-putting either. The wings were good too (my friend ordered those). Overall, they don't play music in the day (at least I can't remember any) so it's not a place for a "vibe" but if you want to chat and have some decent bar food, here's your place. read more

If you want to contract COVID-19, this is the place to dine! They do NOT enforce any mask mandate indoors -- never did in 2020 and still don't in 2021. Been there several times last year and this year, and nope, no masks anywhere in sight. Servers don't wear masks and neither do any of the other employees or the patrons. They stared at us like we were aliens when we walked in wearing masks. They do not bother to post mask requirements anywhere inside or on the front door. They do not really attempt to social distance, nor do they regularly disinfect tables between customers -- would be nearly impossible, since over-served, rip-roaring drunk (and sometimes high!) customers stumble between tables, and customers table-jump to better locations once others are left. BTW, smoking pot in public, outside the back door by the lavatories, still isn't legal, guys. read more

She is kind of rude & has the leaaaast bit of customer service skills, unless you are a friend of hers, which we later realized the patio was full of (who received service). Food came decent timing. She never came back to check on us or hand over the bill. Went inside to get it & she was super rude about it. We stopped in for a quick drink. We stayed for more than one so it was better than I expected. It was not busy at all for a Saturday night, for me that's great, no lines to order a drink. The bartender was friendly, the drinks were not too expensive. Bathroom was clean, liked that I could play the music I wanted to from the jukebox. They have a new waitress that is absolutely the worst. We had a group of 15 sitting on the patio and I had to go and ask if they had service out there? Refills? Forget about it. I asked 3 times. My husband and I went with a $25 restaurant.com coupon. It was hard for the two of us to get to the $35 min food tab, but we just ordered stuff we can bring home and re-heat. The hearty baked potato soup was delicious. And their loaded potato fries are the right amount of loaded! We also ordered the Italiano sandwich and the Veggie Haven salad, but those were to go. It was a bit load, but it's a sports bar, so sort of to be expected. Glad to find another local place we enjoyed. Hope to go back soon. read more

Food was good, service was good. Including us, there were no more than a dozen people in the bar and they were completely hammered at 7:30 p.m. on a Sunday. I have been to Marcotte's multiple times, however tonight was by far the worst experience I have ever had at this establishment. I sat down and was not approached for over 20 minutes. Once I completed my meal I had to wait another 15 minutes to get my bill and another 17 minutes before the bill was then picked up. I am typically not one to complain as I understand the restaurants business is hectic but this has been by far the worst experience I have had here. read more
