10/10 excellent customer service and quality alterations and repairs! I've taken about 4-5 clothing pieces that I thought could no longer be saved but she was able to bring them back to life . My most recent visit was for a green dress that scrunched in the middle but the strap popped out and I could no longer wear the dress. I took it to Margarita's alterations to get repaired and I was given a very reasonable price AND they were able to have my dress ready by the next day! This place is the best for alterations! Margarita is a very sweet lady that does very good work along with her team. I went to them on a Thursday and ask if it could be ready before the next Wednesday, they said ok we'll have it ready. The next day I received a text that said it was ready for pick up. So I called confused and asked if they got the wrong client and they said no that my scrub top was ready! Crazy awesome! I don't usually care to write reviews, but I felt it would be important this time for one reason: It was difficult to find somewhere that would alter a wool winter overcoat. I called and went to several different alteration shops and was told they didn't alter winter overcoats due to not carrying the machinery required for it. I even went to a location that told me over a phone call they DO alter winter overcoats, and when I arrived they told me they wouldn't do it. I saw Margarita's on Yelp and decided to give them a call at 6PM and I was told to come right on in. When I arrived (at closing time, sorry!), they told me it would be no problem at all to do the alterations I had requested. They had me put my coat on and started doing the measurements, asking the entire time how I felt with the changes they were suggesting. They were knowledgeable in the style and informing me how to best fit it for my needs (layering, mobility, longevity, etc.). It was a comfortable and pleasant experience. They asked when I needed the coat by, and I told them I was in no rush. I was sent a text message exactly a week later that my coat was ready. When I received the coat, I inspected the seams of the alterations. They were perfect. They are strong and looked just like the manufacturer's seams. The fit is beautiful and comfortable. I would HIGHLY recommend Margarita's for anyone that is looking to have a wool winter overcoat altered for a reasonable price and in a timely manner. Note: Edited for grammar. read more

I went to a few places and called a bunch... it seemed no one was available on that Sunday afternoon to fix my dress. I had been to another tailor shop with my daughter's ROTC pants bc they were huge. With no possibility of exchanging them for a smaller size (per her teacher) she felt self conscious in these oversized pants. The first tailor shop looked at the fit on her and told me I was better off buying her a new pair and they wouldn't be able to have them finished in a week. I thanked them for their honesty and left. Knowing a little about sewing because my mother has a was a seamstress, I hoped to find a better solution to these pants. Then, I found Margarita! Not only did she alter the pants perfectly to my daughter's size, they look flawless and it was done in 3 days! My daughter is ecstatic about wearing her uniform with confidence. I only wish I had found her sooner. Nice professional people, great work, and all done faster than I could've expected. To say I am pleased is an understatement. Even though a little out of my way to go here- Margarita's came highly recommended by a friend of mine who had a bridesmaid dress taken in. I had 3 garments I brought in for different fixings. The service was great and the staff, particularly Candy, and the lady who did the measurements, although I did not catch her name, were super friendly. Prices are a tad higher than some other places, but also cheaper than others. I feel like the quality of their work was worth it, especially for 3 outfits. 10 stars if I could. I've taken several pieces to Margarita but she really took it up a notch with my Maid of Honor dress for my little sister's wedding. I needed to have the whole thing shortened, the sides tucked in, the bust tacked in and the straps shortened....within 3 days. On a chiffon dress with a TON of beading. Not only did she calm me down and tell me it was going to fit fine and be perfect, she finished the job in 2 days. she really takes her time at the fitting, pinning and tucking, laying a sheet on the floor so you can walk and make sure the length is ok and you're not tripping, while also not letting the garment get dirty. its a small shop, but you forget about it completely when you're in her hands. My dress was not only complete, but they also pressed it and freshened it up since I had had it in a plastic garment bag for so long. I slipped it on and felt like a million bucks. This is the only place I will ever take any of my garments. read more

i can never find the right skinny jeans for me, it always fits perfect on my waist but always bunches up on my ankles, almost flaring out, which is pretty much defeating the purpose of "skinny" jeans. anyways, i found this tailor shop because i needed a place to alter my jeans and this place was what google suggested and let me tell you people, this is probably the ONLY tailor place I will ever go to. The customer service is so great, the people are super nice and my jeans came out awesome. It fits perfectly, it has already became my favorite pair of jeans. Couldn't be happier. I dropped off my dress on Thursday, told them I didn't need till Friday of the following week - and got a text message that it was ready Friday ( the day after I dropped it off) I love how my dress fits now. They took care of my hem, brought the dress higher, and took it in from the sides . Basically about 2 sizes down for a prices I couldn't find anywhere else!! Have been coming here for years and have always been charged $12 for hemming and $24 if it is a double hem, no matter the item. My aunt mom and myself took some dresses to be hemmed. They charged, $89 (for a hem and for tucking it up top), $55 for a double hem, and $45 for a single hem respectively. That day a client was waiting outside due to COVID restrictions so we left right away. When we picked up the dresses we realized my aunts still had the pins in it and it had not been done. We took it back to have it finished and my mom politely asked Margarita (the owner) if prices had been raised since they seemed so off from what we normally pay. She got so aggressive and defensive that she literally stopped away to the back without offering my mom an apology or decent excuse. Needless to say we decided not to leave the dress to be finished after that performance and I DO NOT recommend this establishment to anyone because they clearly do not value customers (even loyal long time customers) and they have ever worse customer service and manners. read more

I used Margarita Alterations after hearing and reading such great reviews. I brought my Evening dress that needed hemming on a Tuesday at 9am. I was instantly greeted by I believe Carlos at the front desk, who was very polite and provided great service. I tried my dress on and was then greeted by the amazing Carmen who was the seamstress that would be taking care of me. She listened to what I wanted and marked the dress and cut the dress to measurement in front of me and asked what I thought after letting me walk back and fourth. To my surprise my dress was ready the next day on Wednesday for pick up. I picked up my dress and when I got home to try it on, it was perfect. Absolutely the perfect length! Everyone was so friendly, the location clean, and absolutely great service!!! Not to mention very reasonably priced for the service received. I highly recommend Margarita Alterations for your alteration needs. I will sure be returning when needed. read more
