I honestly thought I had the unfixable wedding dress. I had it altered at my bridal shop and they literally did a terrible job- gave it to me with a bust that was way too big and they explicitly did not do what I asked them to in terms of alterations. I wanted to cry when I left my bridal shop after paying upwards of 3 grand (don't go to Coral Gables Bridals). Once I met Margarita, I knew she was going to do an amazing job. She fixed my dress from top to bottom- the bust, the back, the length, the bustle- everything- and made it absolutely perfect for me and my body. Margerita's is sew awesome. ;) Note: Google GPS is pretty on point! It's in the same plaza as Chef Adrianne's (yum!). I had a last minute wedding to attend since my out of town plans were canceled due to Hurricane Irma (woe!). Margerita and her staff were absolutely wonderful with me coming last minute on a Friday, dragging along 2 dresses to show them. Not only does Margerita take her time as you try on the dress and provide options... I.e., "Oh you think that dress is too booby? Well, here, we can add this panel or do this bit and get you covered," and shows you what it might look like. She also makes you feel at home with her warm personality. I picked a dress to be hemmed and probably walked out around 12:30pm on a Friday, and she promised to have it next day - NEXT DAY, people! - by noon, so that I could make my friend's wedding in time for her 2pm ceremony. She understood my last minute emergency and I appreciate that she had the time for my rush request. I also love her staff! Everyone is friendly and helpful. Shout out to Candy for being as sweet as her name - haha. My dress was probably about 4-5 inches too long, and Margerita hemmed all 4 layers of my dress (satin skirt, 2 crinoline layers and an underskirt) beautifully. She also took in the waist so that it'd cinch better to my figure. Had compliments on the dress all day and felt super pretty haha. :) Will definitely be back for any future alterations that I need! This place is amazing. Let's start with customer service. They are so kind, polite, friendly and honest. Every single time I walk into the store a brilliant smile awaits me and happily greets me. I came here on a Saturday afternoon, it was pretty busy but they had the flow of people going nicely. It was pretty quick to get my dress hemmed (in length) and I was able to request which date and time I wanted it to be ready. To have it hemmed in length (4 inches) and taken in on the sides to hug my body a bit more, they charged $22 plus tax. As I picked the dress up 4 days later, it was ready so I tried it on. You guys made sure I got the most perfect fit for my wedding dress!!! - I called for an appointment because I wanted their full attention on me ( could you blame me?) - All the staff is super friendly welcoming! They made me feel like family - Very understanding with time frames -I came and did like 4 fittings because (of course) I decided I wanted a mermaid fit and couldn't sit down because I wanted it super tight (haha)But they were patient and worked their magic. I got exactly what I wanted! -Fittings consisted of putting on my undergarments with my shoes and the dress. Since it fit 2 sizes too big they undid the dress and restitched it for me. So I arrive at her shop, I change into the dress, put the heels on and when I open the curtain for assistance with my zipper, Margarita herself was there to assist. Super sweet lady. Made me feel as if we've known each other for many years. I turn to face the mirror and she gets down on the floor to size the hem. Needless to say, the dress length was fine with the heels on.
