Wow! We were extremely impressed with the food, service, and atmosphere on this Monday evening. I'm not a huge Mexican food fanatic, but my wife and son certainly are, so we chose this restaurant to celebrate our daughter's 21st birthday; especially since a margarita was high on her list of birthday wishes! The menu offers a tremendous variety of choices. I decided on the steak tacos, and they were outstanding and packed with flavor and just the right amount of kick.Our waiter (who may have been the manager, Enrique, if I heard correctly) was soft-spoken, friendly, and attentive throughout the entire meal. We never had to wait for anything. He even took care of our to-go boxes and accommodated a last-minute addition to our order without hesitation; thank you for that. Great service like that makes a lasting impression. Also the food came out surprisingly quick; under 10 minutes for sure. Before visiting, all I really knew was that the restaurant had a strong reputation and colorful, authentic décor. Walked in for lunch on a Saturday little after 11:30. Had some minor communication issues as we were immediately handed a menu when we walked in and asked if we knew what we wanted. I said we wanted to sit down and look and they wanted to do takeout for us as evidence by our receipt saying takeout. Once we clarified no it was for dine or we were ok. I met friends for dinner just before 7pm on a Saturday. Though it was busy no wait for table. We inquired about the new soft serve margaritas that have been all over social media but were informed they are only available Monday-Thursday. We received waters and chips and salsa almost immediately after seated. Decided on a Raspberry Margarita tower with top shelf tequila, making it around $80. Great margaritas fun festive presentation, great for sharing. The menu is enormous making for hard decisions, once we decided it took awhile for server to return, pushing thirty minutes. Food came out pretty quickly. I enjoyed the Tour of Mexico, great way to try variety of Mexican. First time trying Tamale. Fajitas, and tacos, also ordered. Good food and great drinks. Unfortunately that's where the service stopped, literally. We were just left at the table no boxes, no follow up and no bill. Three hours later no bill. We had tried waiving down staff, going to bar, even asked several staff at hostess area to take the bill we finally received. It was 1030 by the time we were able to get bill paid. Watched many large tables come and go. It was a bit ludicrous. The staff standing up front should be able to help facilitate check outs instead of adding it to over worked servers. It's disappointing with the restaurant this time. I didn't remember they posted $50+ bill will have 20% tips which it's not hard for 2 ppls bill nowadays. I ordered the 3 combos, Quesadillas with cheese and mushrooms (they charged $3 additional for mushrooms!), chicken Tamales (chicken is tasteless and dry to the bone!) and steak Burritos ( they charged additional $2 for steak, and also dry as hell!). When I got my food, there's no mushroom in the Quesadilla and told the waitress but the charge didn't come off. We asked for a bag for our takeout, never bring one. It's horrible for a restaurant to require such a low bill amount for a mandatory 20% tips and the staffs don't provide 20% worthy services. The customer can't contest the charges because you stated on your legal statement on your menu and you have the right but you just turn your customers away! As a return customer, I will not coming back again. It's your business loss! It's worth it for using this business model! read more

I ordered delivery through doordash from here the other night. I was craving a chimichanga and I am pretty picky about my chimichangas. I specifically only like the white cheese sauce and none of the ranchero sauce. I got 2 orders of their chimichanga dinners and the one came as it was made with the ranchero and chicken, the other i requested none with beef. Both were made perfectly! With rice and guacamole and a salad with it and we got 2 surprise bags of chips and salsa! So good and I highly recommend giving them a try. I have had this dish at other Mexican restaurants in the past but this was the best I have had. Perfect balance of chicken, carne asada, shrimp, and chorizo!! The cactus was cooked perfect and the dish had a good amount of fire but not so much that your taste buds were gone. We always come here when visiting our son. The long and short of it Ambiance - It is a big place and it is always busy. They have two bars and they are always rocking. A bit crowded and noisy but that is OK. They also have some outside seating. Service at both the bar and floor is good. Cocktails - Hands down some of the best margaritas and ice cold beer I have had. They have more kinds of margaritas and tequila than I have seen at a single place Food - I think the food is solid.
