    Crispy chips and guacamole

I love Syracuse restaurant week!! What a delicious and reasonable meal we had for 15.00!! The place was packed at lunch time but our wait was not long. For lunch they offered 4 choices for entree, 2 for appetizers and 3 deserts. I chose the guacamole, arroz con pollo and flan. The guacamole was so fresh and delicious (served with crispy chips). The arroz con pollo was just the right amount of seasoning and loved the cheese on top. The flan was good but my friend got the churros and they were amazing. Another great meal here

We were driving through Syracuse when we needed to stop for lunch. As this got good reviews we stopped in -- and ordered tacos al pastor for him, arroz con pollo for me (tasty but too heavy with the cheese), and guacamole (fun take as it wasn't blended and felt very fresh) to share. It was definitely way too much food for 2 of us. Yet, the server was very nice and even offered a box. I'd say that adding salads or healthier fare to the menu would be a good option for those who want something less heavy.

Great food and service. Love the ambience especially the chairs and tables painted with Mexican inspired artwork. The only problem is that the air conditioning is too small for the room. I was there on a Saturday night around 6 PM and the place was full. It was so hot that some diners took their dishes Outdoors to eat at the outside tables. Huge portions and delicious food. I ordered shrimp fajitas and it had to come on to enormous platters to fit everything. Go on a cool night.

Rice, refried beans, lettuce, guac, sour cream

I visited this restaurant for the first time yesterday while searching for some authentic Mexican food in the Syracuse area. I came across it on Yelp and also had a friend recommend it--so I was excited to check it out. We both ordered the Texas fajitas. I asked for mine without steak, and they replaced it with extra chicken, which I appreciated. The fajitas came out sizzling on a hot skillet--definitely a nice presentation. However, the actual fajita mix (chicken, shrimp, peppers, onions) lacked flavor. It wasn't bad, just very under-seasoned. I had to add salt and pepper, which isn't ideal. That said, once I combined it with the lettuce, guac, sour cream (They give a little) , and refried beans, it tasted a bit better. Speaking of refried beans, mine were barely warm and pretty bland. They definitely could've used some seasoning too. I also ordered a medium-sized margarita called For the People, which was around $15. It was refreshing and tasty, but could've used a little more liquor. It felt more like a flavorful juice than a cocktail. The ambiance of the restaurant was great--very chill and relaxed, especially for a Tuesday evening. They had $2 Taco Tuesday specials, which is a cool deal, but I think it would be even better if they paired it with a drink special. I forgot to take a photo of the food for you all until mid meal my apologies. Customer service was A1--everyone was friendly and attentive, which I truly appreciated. A few things to note though: * They do charge a credit card fee, which I think is kind of corny. My business partner paid around $39 in cash, and I ended up paying about $42 (plus tip) just because I used a card. So definitely bring cash if you go. * There's no physical menu. You have to scan a QR code to see the menu, which can be inconvenient--especially for older guests or people who prefer not to be on their phones during dinner. * Parking is mostly street parking or a nearby paid lot. No dedicated restaurant parking. All in all, I'd give this place a 6/10. The vibe and service were great, and my drink was decent, but the food was just okay and the extra fees/QR code menu setup knocked a few points off for me. Would I come back? Maybe on a special or happy hour night--but I'd bring cash next time.

Stopped in on a Saturday at about 1:30. We were seated quickly and the restaurant had a decent amount of people- I was pretty happy with that because we ended up here after attempting 2 other restaurants with ungodly wait times. My main gripe with the place is they don't offer physical menus and have a 4% cash discount. Passing the bill for credit card fees to the consumer is a no-no for me. I also don't have a phone that can scan a QR code so I had to google the menu. Not fun. My partner and I both ordered variations on a steak quesadilla. We were both pleased with the speed the food arrived and the taste. I will say the steak portioning was a little skimpy for a 20 dollar quesadilla. Anyhow it was a decent lunch. Total was about 40 dollars- average by my estimation. I would eat here again, but I'm not going out of my way (just like in my last review).

Food was delicious and the servers are always nice. I've never had to wait for a table. They accidentally mixed up my order and were apologetic and corrected their error. Best Mexican food in Syracuse for sure!

Amazing Texas margarita pitcher! The chips and salsa are also very yummy. Chorizo and steak tacos were delicious. Fast and simple. Will be back.

The place wasn't really busy tonight around 5pmish, yet the food took about 40 mins to get to the table. Once our food arrived, we noticed the upgraded fries weren't caught by the waitress. The waitress did correct it but by that time, we were pretty much finished. The sizes of the burgers were on the smaller size and the fries came neatly measured in a metal cup, but not full. The fries were tasty. The lobster was in a bun and smaller than a normal lobster roll you may expect, especially for $40. i may have been okay with the sizes of the food if it had come out quicker, maybe it was just an off day. ?

Their flavor notes to describe their drinks were very helpful to figure out what you'd like and our server was very helpful with making sure we got what we wanted! Our food was amazing and the price for everything was relatively fair and I think affordable for two people to get the full experience! I left extremely happy and definitely coming back for another date night! When I saw an espresso martini and cake pairing, I knew I had to pull the trigger. Met up with some friends and we all ordered food beforehand to offset the impending sugar rush. I'd had their naan pizza in the past and loved it, so this time I went with the one that had caramelized onions and goat cheese. AMAZING. Crispy crust, melty cheese, tangy onions and the perfect amount of everything in every bite. Then onto the main event: the flights! The staff brought over our cake and drinks and were so great about explaining what to pair together. (There was also a card) Desserts were a carrot cake with the most impossibly airy icing, a pistachio cheesecake with chocolate ganache, and a chocolate cake with a light nutella icing. I'm usually a carrot cake girlie and while I enjoyed it, the cheesecake was actually my favorite. Just the perfect pistachio flavor and a wonderful consistency -- so, so smooth. Our waitress told us that the owner is the one that makes all of the desserts too. A multi-talented queen. As far as the martinis, my favorite was the affogato one. These flight-nights are one-off events and the items aren't normally on the menu, so if you see one that looks extra appealing, get yourself there! I've been for normal service too though, and honestly, never have had a misfire here. One thing I especially love is the option to order drinks in 5oz pours, a godsend for lightweights like me. Ambiance, food, drinks, all excellent.

Another outstanding meal at my favorite syracuse restaurant…read more Enjoyed some time this Friday with special people as we sat and enjoyed an exquisite dining out. I was the only returning patron, the others much enjoyed their first time here. Walking through the front door you're instantly hit with a wonderful smell of food cooking over an open fire. Got a terrific table to look out the window and enjoyed a nice evening view. Took full advantage of every food meal course available. Started out with their evening appetizer of homemade bread with cinnamon butter. Each of us got our own dinner choice along with small plates to start. The two small plates were green lentil salad and ember roasted carrots. Both of them with their unique flavor and style. The green lentil salad featured heirlooms. The ember roasted carrots featured labrieth, doqqa, and maple syrup. Keep in mind everything here comes from local farms and local breweries and distilleries. Big fan of supporting the state and local community. Fantastic! They feature only a few main entrées, tonight's included halibut, steak, chicken, and sea Island peas with jasmine rice. Knowing how well seasoned their steaks are, I went with a filet mignon 10 ounce. Probably a little more than I should've gotten, but I very rarely eat steak and know how well and good they are here. Ordered the steak medium to medium rare and that's exactly how it came out. Mouth watering delicious. Along with the steak includes mashed potatoes, chimichurri, kale, and. crème fraiche. Every bite was outstanding. One of us got ice cream for dessert which she said was very good. The ice cream was made right there at the restaurant. We kicked off the dinner with a rum cocktail and a tequila cocktail. All spirits locally sourced. If you haven't tried it here yet you should. You will not be disappointed.

We were promptly seated and ordered glasses of wine while perusing the menu, which is on the smaller side. That usually means everything on it is rather good, so we had high expectations. We started with the Mushroom Toast, Ember Roasted Carrots, and Beef Tartar. I'll start with the bad and finish with the good. The Ember Roasted Carrots were a complete miss. They were trying to go for a middle-eastern flavor, with each ingredient contrasting, while the carrot served as the centerpiece to flavor. I found this to be INCREDIBLY bland. The carrots were not salted enough during roasting and lacked enough char. They dish also needed more labneh than it was served with. It literally just tasted like carrots and yoghurt. Honestly, if I could only give one critique it would be to have used more salt, but this dish was a real disappointment. The Beef Tartar suffered from a similar issue. It was bland. Not enough salt was used. It unfortunately tastes like flat beef. I overheard the bartender talking to another couple and he told them they really want to highlight the ingredients. The idea is purity or something like that. And that's well and good, but you still need to season beef tartar. I don't think this is necessarily a poor execution of the dish(es) rather this is more in line with the philosophy of the kitchen, and that's fine. It's just not for me. And now for the good. The Mushroom Toast was great. It had all the things I had wanted. Fat, salt, umami, freshness. This was a good dish and I would get this again. As for the entrees, my husband and I ordered the Cappelletti and the NY Strip. The Cappelleti was the strongest dish of the night. The flavors were layered and intentional. This was a great dish and I1000% would get it again. My husband ordered the NY Strip along with bone marrow. It was cooked to perfection. Cooking it over a wood fire gave it a great char and almost Smokey flavor. It was very flavorful. The chimichurri made the steak feel lighter than it actually was. My husband loved it and I loved having a bite or two of everything together. This was a complete dish and I'd highly recommend it. The only knock I could give it is the bone marrow. There was a lack of volume in it which is probably due to being cooked over a wood fire. Parts of the bones were also over roasted. I'd skip this the next time and get the foie gras pate. Lastly, for desert we were disappointed that we could not try the rice pudding as they were out of it (we will try it the next time if available). We did however order the Flourless Chocolate Torte to share. It was made perfectly. It was rich and decadent but remained light. It was almost like a mousse, but not quite. We loved it. Overall, the had a great time. There were several highlights and I think they make up for the a couple of the earlier dishes. I'd like to see what else they have to offer when they change their menu.

The sweet & spicy smokey sauce that was provided with it was a bit tangy. I didn't like it at first, but it grew on me! You'll definitely have to taste it for yourself. The burnt end chicharrones left more to be desired. Both my partner and I thought they were dry and not tender. Also, there was something about the flavor that we did not care for. I absolutely love burnt ends from BBQ joints, and this was the first time we've ordered chicharrones so I don't have something to compare them to, but I'd suggest trying them elsewhere. As for the brussels, when we first got to the restaurant our friends were sharing them. We tried one bite and knew we had order a whole plate for ourselves!
