"Turn Around!", is what I wish I could have yelled to the people coming in the door as were trying to eat our food. Both servers that waited on us had no idea what they were talking about. Could not answer one question we asked. The sign says breakfast all day but when my buddy asked for the bfast menu they first said it's on the menu in front you. Nope. Then brought us a takeout menu, not there either. Then finally went and asked some one for one. He ended up opting for lunch. He then received his Diet Coke in a glass that we're pretty sure had residual vodka left over in it. Either the glass wasn't cleaned properly or it had been used to shake a vodka drink and not washed. The re fried beans tasted like card board. The salsa surely came out of a can. The burrito I had was hard to get through because the taste was so strange. My boyfriend got an omelet that looked horrible and tasted the same. Stopped in for breakfast and they weren't even open yet, but were so gracious and told us to come in! Offered us hot tortillas before our meals were ready. Muy Bonito breakfast plate is cheese enchilada with eggs, bacon, potatoes and beans and it was delicious! We will be back!! read more

We eat here at least once or twice a week. There margaritas are awesome! Last week I tried there pan fried tilapia with caper sauce. The tilapia fish piece was large and delish! Read the reviews but still decided to try Margarita's to form our own opinion. I ordered the Spinach Enchiladas and they were splendid. Not too much sauce, which is the way I like it, but a whole lot of flavor. They were yummy. The rice and borracho beans were refreshing and very yummy. My husband ordered his normal Mexican fare, burrito's. He wasn't overly excited with his choice. The nacho's were average but the sauce served with them was pretty good and spicy for my unspicy taste buds. The staff was very friendly, but it did not appear that the non waitstaff helped the waitstaff when needed and just stood around so we had to wait for drink refills and such. read more

We had lunch Monday. I order the crispy taco lunch. It was not crispy. The tacos were soggy and dripping as well as the chalupa that was sitting in drippings. My hubby is suffering from lower gastrointestinal problems since 2 am and now I am following suit. I even remember thinking to myself, when my hubby said that's where he wanted to eat, they (not this particular Margarita's) were the restaurant that sicked a lot of people recently. Hot sauce is amazing. Staff is extremely friendly. Drinks and food are very good (we are die-hard Tex-Mex-lovin' Austinites and know our Mexican food). Don't do it...just don't do it. Many years ago this place was one of the best in the area. Since new ownership and even "renovations", it's taken a questionable reputation and become a dirty environment having even slippery floors from the grease. The food's presentation, quality and taste is poor, leaving expectations of at least much lower prices. Bottom line, we continue to be disappointed having hopes of change. This was our last visit. I was reminded today of why I haven't been to Margaritas in over a year. I ordered the special, which sounded great from the description on the board. When it arrived it looked nothing like what I expected based on how they described it on their specials board. I received a small piece of plain chicken breast rolled around a little bit of undercooked bacon with thin green sauce on it. The sauce was not terrible, but pretty watery. The description said the chicken would be lightly coated with flour and sauteed. If they prepared it that way, I sure couldn't tell. The chicken itself had no flavor at all and was so small. It was served with plain flavorless white rice with a few veggies sprinkled in and a cup of borracho beans. The beans were pretty good. I was really disappointed in my meal, but when I got the check I was shocked. $17.99 for a tiny piece of bland chicken, a serving of white rice and some beans!!! I told my server that I thought the price was crazy high for that particular meal. She just shrugged. I'm happy to pay a reasonable price for a meal that has value and flavor, but this was probably one of the most disappointing meals I've ever had at a restaurant, and certainly waaaay overpriced for what you get. It's very unlikely that I'll ever forget again why I don't go there more often. The server's indifferent shrug made the experience even worse. I know she doesn't price the menu items, but I was a server in my 20s and I know that nobody left my bar or restaurant unhappy and I certainly would never shrug off their concerns about the quality of their meal and experience. Friendly service. Ok margarita (given the name of the restaurant though...cmon little effort here would be nice), average salsa. Very watery queso. Inedible salad, wilted greens. On the plus side the bean and cheese nachos were only slightly below average. It is a large restaurant that would be great for families if only the food wasn't borderline terrible. They are really making zero effort at this place. Unfortunately there are very few alternatives in Marble Falls. Francesco's (italian), River City and Simply Pho are the only solid choices. A few indicators that you may not have chosen the best Mexican Restaurant in Marble Falls: It is noon Saturday on Memorial Day weekend and their parking lot is virtually empty when every other place in town has a waiting line. The employees outnumber the patrons. The employees are obviously all related and speak Arabic to each other. (This is a MEXICAN restaurant!) It takes two tries to get a simple margarita ordered, then it tastes like the bartender dissolved aspirin in it. The salsa is cheap ketchup with diced bell peppers added. The only decent entree served at the table is the smoked chicken dish, which very probably came from Inmans BBQ on Hwy 281. Covered with a few capers. (Capers? Thought this was a MEXICAN restaurant.) Anyway, this is a fairly nice building and its location would be perfect for a good restaurant. Somebody should open one here. read more

Oh where to start? The horrible food, devastating decor, or the miserable margaritas? Let's just start from the beginning I suppose. My fiance and I decided to go out a few nights ago and since we live in Marble Falls pickings are slim when it comes to choices. Chili's, River City Grille, or Margaritas. Since I work at one of the three places earlier mentioned, I decided to take a break from my normal fare and add some flare. We parked, and went into the main lobby. There was a little display case that we didn't get to fully investigate but I assume it held some sort of desserts. A server greeted us and took us to the dining room to the right. The decor has horrendous!!! Scratched, dingy, old tables, and ugly carpet are not so good for ones appetite, but since a friend referred us we stayed. Hopefully the food would so delicious we would ignore everything else. I ordered a raspberry margarita, frozen, and he ordered a Bud Light Platinum. His beer tasted old and too tart. My margarita was poured into a room temperature glass, so it melted quickly. They also used a weird syrup to flavor it, which may have also been old come to think of it. I can say that the parts of margarita that was the classic flavor was Delicious!! Nice with a heavy lime citrus flavor, I was almost saddened that I ruined it with a sub-par syrup. I ordered a Fiesta Fajita for one (14.99!) that came with two pieces of shrimp, three skinny pieces of beef, and chopped up chicken. It was abundant with cut up pieces of zucchini though!! Half way of digging around my vegetables for some meat I just gave up trying. The redeeming part of my meal was the tortillas which I do believe are made in house and fresh. There were fluffy, light and oh so flavorful. To bad I didn't have anything tasty to put on them!! He ordered the Con Mucho Gusto (11.99) that honestly looked like dog crap covered in cheese. He said the meat in the tacos tasted and felt like canned beef. The flavor was horrid and he only finished because he didn't want to waste 12 dollars. And he knew that I would make him actual tacos at home. The BEST part about our meal was watching the staff. The manager was making shots for a friend, the kitchen staff was drinking a beer and a margarita when not in the back abusing the microwave. All I have to say about this place is stay away or only come for a classic margarita (ask for a frozen glass so you can enjoy it!). I feel terrible for the server who had to serve us this hot mess. She was fantastic. Friendly, personable, and nice. You deserve to work somewhere better. Other places would snatch you up in a heart beat!!! read more

Decided to stop and see remodel. Very nicely done. We always get the basa with the capers and tomatoes really good. This time I tried the salmon with the caper sauce and it was even better. Margaritas are best with a topper of gran gala. Prices are very reasonable. If you haven't been in for awhile give it another try and ask for the fish. read more

First and last time I go to this restaurant was in town on business and stopped in for lunch ordered the quesadillas found live bug crawling on plate and manager seemed to care less said it was beyond their control they don't look at plates before they put food on them makes me wonder how many dead ones might have been in the food and this one just survived, manager did comp the food my friend got when I mentioned that I was putting it on yelp, I don't know how the food tasted I didn't eat any . read more

I have been here many times as it is one of the few decent Mexican food places that you can get a Margarita at with your food. Their food is not bad, but nothing outstanding. However, their wait staff is terrible. Many are sloppy dressed and have attitudes. Not very accomodating either. However, not much selection for having dinner after 7pm in our area so I keep going back. read more

I don't know why there are so many bad reviews but they were great. Great food, drinks, prices and the waiters went out of there way. We even asked was the meat sauce red or brown for the carne guisada and they responded by bringing a sample. We will be back again for sure. read more
