No frills, just seat yourself and know that what you're about to eat will satisfy. Homemade flour tortillas are yummy (I'll try their homemade corn next). I had the mole rojo and the chicken fell off the bone. Super tender! With delicious rice to boot. We arrived 30 mins before close so they were out of beans. Chips for the table are from a bag but the salsa tasted great. Would love to return and keep trying more dishes. Great option for when Gonzalez across the street is too busy or closed. read more

Haven't been here in a long time, but was very disappointed. I came and asked for the special and then when the check came I got charged for the soup which was part of the special. When I asked about it, they just told the server to take off the soup but a special was priced at "$19"! What type of special is priced so high... seemed like it was the a la cart price so I asked the server and she said to wait for the manager. Worst part he never came out and everyone ignored us when we kept asking for the manager or the price of the special. I am so upset. So sad to see this place be so mismanaged. I loved coming here. Hola ! Really quaint place off the strip and mostly Latin people inside which a great sign. Came here for a breakfast burrito or best option . They allow you to pick any omelette and put It in a burrito ! I did that minus the beans . Chips and salsa were solid and I loved the salsa which had a kick and later was used for my burrito ! I've been to this location one other time and it was great and I've been to the other location in east Dallas more than 20 times and it's always been great. But on this day, this location in Oak Cliff -was terrible. I was by myself and was treated poorly. The guest that came in after me were served before me. I asked for two waters so they wouldn't have to refill the first water which took 15 minutes to get after I had to get up and ask for it and they still just bought me one water. The food was terrible. I got tilapia tacos and there was no seasoning, no lime offered, it was cold and soggy. I forced down the first taco and I was done. I am not picky at all and I've been in the service industry all my life and I never put these reviews out there, but this needs to be held accountable. Hopefully the owner sees this and makes some adjustments. Everything was just rushed and put together with no care or respect. Margarita's has lost my business for good. read more

This place is so freaking good. The chicken has flavor and it fell apart, the mole is spicy I love it!!! I live an hour away and I happen to be in town and I was craving Mexican food, I would have settled for Tex-Mex but I found this gem and I will definitely make the trip out here again. My family of 3 were at restaurant last night for dinner, There were 2 other tables in the restaurant and it took about 25 mins to receive our orders. The service was slow and the food inconsistent. My son and myself had been in for lunch and everything was great, but this dinner was completely different. The shrimp on my sons plate was overcooked and rubbery and my guiso plate was nothing compared to the guiso I had ordered at lunch. The soft flour tortillas I had received at lunch now seemed to be crispy and overheated. If you want a great plate of food, I'd recommend going for lunch. read more

We got our food in a timely manner unlike our last visit. I had the Chilaquiles Verdes, my hubby had a Menudo, and the kids had Chorizo con Huevos again. Everything was delicious! This is a place we would usually enjoy going to but today wasn't the best experience today from the beginning we didn't feel very welcomed we sat outside and they took a while to clean the tables we sat at. So we waited a while just to sit down.. Not only that but my food was okay but my husband and brother got menudo that was way too spicy not very enjoyable so we tried to ask politely if they could take it off and they said no, We asked if we can replace with something else and they would not replace it with anything unless we pay for something else. Not only that but when it came to paying for our tab they automatically charged 20 % because we were a party of 7 when most restaurants don't do that unless you're a bigger party. We were not trying to get free food but when your not happy with your food that your paying for they should be able to do something to make the customer satisfied and that was not the case. First visit to this fast casual Mexican restaurant fronting Jefferson Boulevard. Plenty of free parking at the meters along Jefferson Boulevard 6pm. Nice clean restaurant with a few tables in their sidewalk patio and lots of seating inside. Cool contemporary interior with minimal decorations and two large HD TV monitors. We were greeted promptly at the door and seated. Service was fast and friendly. They provide two different types of salsa at the table along with tortilla chips. This Tuesday evening they had chalkboard specials which included tacos for two dollars each. Happy hour from 4 PM to 7 PM. I ordered a variety of five tacos and a margarita on the rocks. The margarita was served in a generous sized glass with a salted rim. Very satisfying. It was also nice that the server gave me a glass of ice water without having to ask. My large house margarita was only five dollars at the happy hour two dollar off price. My five tacos came to our table after a few minutes. They were accompanied by chopped cilantro, white onion, and three lime wedges for garnish. All five tacos were good. The meat in each one was very tender although they could've use a little bit more spiciness. The best part was that none of them were greasy at all. I just used some of the picante salsa to enhance the flavor. At two bucks apiece my entire food order of five tacos totaled just $10. No problem getting separate checks. Would dine here again because it is a great value, service is great, and parking is easy (early evening). They don't do catering yet. They would get a fifth star if the flavor of the taco filling (I tried five different kinds of meats) would be a little more flavorful. read more

Stopped in here on a whim and was a little skeptical because there literally wasn't any customers inside but boy am I glad we stopped. To start the chips and salsa was good. One was super spicy (which i liked the most) and the other was a regular salsa. We ordered the steak quesadillas, puerco guiso, and the chicken enchiladas with green sauce. Everything was good, including the rice and beans. The guiso had bones, which my bf wasn't used to but he said the meat was super tender and flavorful. The tortillas and chalupa bread is clearly made from scratch, and the salsas and Queso have a nicely balanced feel to them, along with the slightly dry but deliciously seasoned chicken. I ordered a sausage and egg Taco plate and it came out as kind of done eggs with hot dogs and not even good hot dogs nasty hot dogs.
