    Mojarra

Came for dinner here tonight. The restaurant is very authentic, clean, service is nice, and the food is great too. They gave us chips and salsa when we sat down. Their salsa is delicious and thats when I knew this place has to be good :) I ordered Torta de camaron con huevos y papas, and my friend got the mojarra. Torta was delicious. The shrimp and eggs were cooked perfectly, and the bread was super super fresh and soft. It came with a side of fries and some pickled peppers and carrots that I love sooo much. I tried the Mojarra too, and it was really good. A little over fried for my taste, but the flavor was still there. Would definitely come back.

Ceviche. Spicy salsa. Chip's. Topo Chico.

It was my 1st time in here for food, which is odd since I have lived right down the street for almost 5 years. Good grief woman, get your foodie butt in gear. Well heck, better late than never, as the saying goes. The first week of July, the wicked summer heat waves are bouncing off the steamy black asphalt. And it's hot. And it's humid. There's nothing in my refigerator that I want to eat. And shopping for food requires more energy than I have at the moment. An early morning walk has my hip and tail bone sore and aching. Gee weez, falling apart already. Trying to be healthy, fit, and exercise and wind up in pain. I cannot win. So after finishing with my car tire issue, I head into this local spot for a refreshing light lunch and cool drink. Topo Chico served ice cold with several lime wedges to start. A nice basket of fresh tortilla chips with spicy salsa to knosh on while my main lunch is being made. Their house made salsa is a strong 3.5 heat index out of 5. It's color and consistency looks like queso, but it's salsa. Which is great to me, smooth, spicy, and fewer calories works for my palette and waist line. Oh yeah!! Nancy, my server was so friendly. So polite and warm, what a treat to talk to someone so nice. She brought out my seafood ceviche really quick, checked on me regularly, and brought out my receipt when I asked for a to go container. Smooth as silk. Everything was delicious. I will definitely be back in soon. It's a few more months of hot humid sticky I don't want to cook or shop for food weather. Oh Texas, can you just rain everyday and keep the temperature down 20 degrees. That would be fantastic!!

Everything was good, specially the Mariscada, cocktails, and the soups. The plates are always topped with lots of delicious food.

He's had great success in the Dallas area with Tacos Mariachi, Milagro Taco, and Chimichurri. Pesca features classic seafood entrees with a twist. I've been to Pesca a few times and I'm very impressed. The space is very open and consists of a few booths plus several table/chair combos. On all of my visits, the staff is always super friendly and very knowledgeable of the standard menu plus any specials. Add to it, they have a full bar with several custom drinks which the staff recommend. On my most recent visit, I went for dinner and throughly enjoyed the Blackened Catfish & Crab entree which has easily become my favorite here. It comes with a catfish filet, crab on top and served in a lemon butter sauce. It comes with both asparagus and a garlic mash...simply delicious!! That said, every thing I've had here has been super tasty!! Pesca does have a weekend brunch menu which I still need to try. If you have not visited yet, what are you waiting for. Whether it's for a special occasion or just dropping in for a great meal, Pesca Coastal Classics should be on your list.

Chef Roger also stopped by our table personally to check on us and make sure everything was good. The restaurant was very clean, the ambiance was great, and the service was outstanding. It honestly made me a little sad to see it so quiet because places with good food, great people, and excellent hospitality deserve to be busy. We had a wonderful experience and will definitely be back.

The seafood here is SO fresh!!! And honestly, we were impressed by every single dish we tried. Here's everything we ordered: Oysters shooters Premium raw oysters Foie gras Beef tartare Lobster rolls Chargrilled oysters Just WOW. I had one of the best foie gras experiences I've had in years! The pate was rich, creamy, and absolutely delicious. And the oysters?! Fresh, briny, and flavorful. My most favorite is the oyster shooters, but chargrilled oysters were also excellent, and the lobster rolls were scrumptious as well (like for real we picked a random restaurant, choosing random dishes from their menu and didn't expect it would surprise us in a good way like this). Honestly, who knew Texas could do seafood like this?! Every dish we ordered was a hit, and there wasn't a single thing we wouldn't order again. We're so glad we found this hidden gem in Bishop Arts. Definitely adding this to our Dallas favorites next time we're back!

So glad this spot is in our neighborhood - just what North Oak Cliff and Bishop Arts needed. We will be back many many times!

And we knew we wanted to go back and have some margaritas and food here. Well we made it back and we were starving. I couldn't wait to order some yummy food and drinks. We had chips y salsa free at the table and also some bean dip which is a nice change from the norm chips and salsa. Very fresh. We ordered the regular margarita frozen with a Tajín rim. So delicious. The hubby ordered the mangonada, a little spicy if you like it like that. And the main dishes were the Cuban torta, which was by far the best Cuban sandwich I've had in Dallas. Comes with fries and slaw and they were perfectly crispy. The hubby got the shrimp tacos and he ate them up. His side was charro beans he didn't even get to eat so home they went. Sad we didn't save space for desert. But there is always next time as we will be back. The staff is very attentive and our waitress was on the ball. Fast service and great food. Also don't forget like me to get your parking validated from the server.
