We kept it simple with burgers, a crispy chicken sandwich, and fries. The burgers were dry and lacked seasoning, and while the chicken sandwich actually had good flavor, the batter was soggy, not crispy at all. For a place that's known for kicking back with a good drink in hand, it was disappointing that they were out of almost every beer on draft, including their own Landshark Lager. Go anywhere else. Also, there is a clear issue with a few of the white women who work there with people of color. On a recent vacation we stopped in the HarborWalk Village and decided to eat lunch at Jimmy Buffet's signature restaurant. The ambiance of these things cannot be understated. You're literally transported to Key West and the vibe is chill. We were quickly greeted and our server was friendly and suggested I try the Jambalaya, which I did. However, I asked if the meal could be spicy and she said "they won't deviate from the recipe". Not her fault, but when it comes adding spice that should be easy to do. Anyways, the drinks were good, and the meals were all great. The only downside (thus the four star) is that the restaurant got slammed as were at the end of our meal and then service was non-existent. We waited about fifteen minutes for a check, but that's management issue. If you're in Destin check this place out - the food is good. read more

I'm not sure why this place has such bad reviews. Of course the tables are sticky--- it's humid and it's worth it for the amazing view. Did we have to wait for food? Yes but they let us know that the kitchen was backed up. We had a great view. Food was great. Drinks and service were amazing! Aubrey Berry was the next server! Excited to find a Margaritaville here! As Parrot heads, we've visited so many but this one was excellent! We were seated quickly for an early dinner. Dave F. was pleasant & efficient. He suggested some favorites & accommodated us as we wanted the buffalo chicken dip & not the entire appetizer sampler. The Cheeseburger in Paradise (my usual) did not disappoint & neither did the "Perfect Margarita". I've been to many of these locations around the state but being from Orlando and have been to their newly opened resort in Ft.Myers this by far was the worst. First the ground floor was closed...no specific reason Upon the hostess stand on 2nd floor were 2 young girls on their phone. I told one of them we are a party of 4 and she ignored me. Another girl walked up much more friendlier. Upon seating wasn't aware this location is completely open to the outside elements. Being on the beach I have seen this but usually has additional fans or cool areas. There were minimal fans and no cool areas. We requested to change seats and she said we would have 30 minute wait to do so. At this time we ordered drinks upon receiving they were sour and funky having knowledge in the restaurant business can cleary tell the taps were old and dirty. I said something to the waitress and she acted like this is a usual thing she was very dismissive. I'll get back to her later. So we ordered and very specific on one order because of pickle allergies. We actually were making bets to see if the item came out with it or not. Of course it did. My daughter's chicken was hard as a rock and French fry's were old. I ordered a salad and was soggy. The last meal was no complaints. Being that we were starving we did not complain. The waitress had a very poor attention span as she passed us several times and head down not asking how we were doing. She definitely seemed overwhelmed. We were luckily got good seating where during dining had sight of what was happening in the harbor. Food is great. Seafood combo to share was our pick and added salad on the side. Ordered beer and margarita to start a Florida vacation vibes. Great and quick service. I was just disappointed of our waitress rudeness on saying "there's goes my tip" when we ordered a shared meal. The outdoor bar was pretty busy and it was really hot, so we went in to sit at the bar. The indoor bar was pretty busy too, but less so than outdoors. Big drink menu and you can of course order food that the bar too. We both had a few drinks, some bar food and enjoyed just sitting. Drinks were well made/poured and the food was fast. The tables around us were full and the wait staff seemed attentive. this is a nice place. Not super fancy, but in line with the boardwalk atmosphere at Destin. Have a drink and be well at M'ville. Drinks are great, let's start there. We came by for some drinks while we're in the area and I left feeling like we got our moneys worth. I had 2 top shelf's and my wife had a virgin margarita. We both enjoy our drinks. We didn't eat on the 1st visit, but we did on our 2nd visit the next day. My wife had roasted chicken with mash potatoes and green beans. Let's just pause there, as they give you practically a whole half of chicken. Then there's the flavor, it tastes like down home roasted chicken. The mashed potatoes and green beans were also flavorful. I drew the unlucky stick and picked fried shrimps and fries. My food wasn't bad but it didn't measure up to the roasted chicken. Not sure why this place only has 3 stars, but whoever contributed to that should be ashamed of themselves. Here I was in Destin, Florida, two days before Christmas, all by myself as I walked into 'Margaritaville' and I literally became a 'stranger in paradise'. It was late afternoon and I was seated on the patio deck, so I could watch all the all boats pass by in the harbor, while listening to the Eagles 'Hotel California', and eating a Cheeseburger in Paradise with fries and an Ice Tea. The food was extremely tasty, the ambiance was nice, the place was very clean and best of all was the service that I received from a waitress named Brooke, she was excellent. She had customers indoor, but she made several trips out to the outdoor patio whereas I was sitting alone and she made sure that I had everything that I needed for my meal. She brought out the mustard and mayonnaise bottles that I asked for, and she was very patient and professional in communicating with me, since I did not have my hearing aids with me. It was a great meal, a great view of the harbor, and great customer service...Five stars! read more

To start we had no silverware brought to us, we had to end up asking for it even after our waitress brought us our food that you need silverware for. I had the fish tacos which tasted like old rubber shoes, the rice that came with it tasted like they used a microwaveable Uncle Ben's bag of rice with a hint of plastic flavor - which isn't a good thing. My daughter's kids cheeseburger was charred like it was the cooks first time ever making a burger. I knew something was off when I had commented to my husband that the vibes in there were dull. Highly recommended for the music and atmosphere but definitely not the food. We went off season in January. Food took forever to arrive and was lukewarm at best. Desserts came long before entrees were even close to being finished. High end margaritas were very small, full of ice and tasteless. We probably won't go back. Best parts of our visit were the music, scenery and our server. Can't remember server's name but she said she's been with them for 11 or 12 years.
