Had a very looooong day and decided to cap it off at where else but Margaritaville! If your looking to party...well this is the spot! I think I got intoxicated with energy and excitement upon walking through the front door. Our waitress, Crystal took great care of the rowdy crew I barged in here with. Crystal was so sweet. At one point she was holding the cutest little baby and caring for it as it was her own child. It touched my heart! We went to the Margaritaville in the islands. When we first stepped into the restaurant, we were greeted by a very nice man that was behind the counter, and I noticed he was running in and out the door, taking pictures of people that wanted to sit in the big chair. he said us promptly and within minutes our waitress came over to see how we were ask if we wanted to drink order. I ordered a mixed drink in a souvenir cup that looks like a blender, My husband ordered a LandShark beer and my daughter ordered a souvenir cup also but with a virgin strawberry daiquiri. For our meal, my husband ordered a Cheeseburger In Paradise, I ordered fish and chips, and my daughter ordered the shrimp coconut meal. The food came out fast, hot and delicious! My daughters coconut shrimp had this delicious hot spicy, but not too spicy sweet dip for her shrimp. My fish and chips had like a jalapeño tartar sauce, which was very good. But what would make me go to that place all the time was the adorable and friendly and efficient waitress we had! I've never had such a great waitress! My food was ok, I'm saying that cuz it was just warm when it was served. We ordered around 8:30 pm it wasn't too busy. Our appetizer pickle chips were on the cold side when they hit the table. Our waitress was very nice and kept my glass of water full and others in our party of 5 at my table. The restaurant looked like it needed some repairs, saw some tile missing in the bathroom, and dining chairs, and the dining floor also looked worn. We love the Jimmy Buffett brand. Margaritaville restaurants were amongst his first expansion into food and hospitality. The locations are always centered on music and the lifestyle, with some locations sporting impressive decor. This location may have a more sparse dining room than most. There are two cool visual features that harken back to some of the cooler locations (Universal Studios Citywalk, Panama City Beach). The food is surprisingly good. The fish tacos are must. Even those without a seafood fetish can find joy in a Cheeseburger in Paradise or the lesser known, but pretty tasty, Cuban sandwich. Lastly, our service was amazing. Mrs. Lisa channeled her good island vibes and was super attentive and accommodating to our family. She also made some great recommendations. The peel and eat shrimp are interesting in that they are steamed in old bay but served comes over ice. We were shocked how refreshing the were while also being super easy to peel. We were super excited to try this place out but it was a huge let down. We waited 2 hours to get sat down which was okay with us but the problem came when the food took 1.5hr to come out after we ordered. Two of the six people in our group ordered the volcano nachos and on top of them being cold they were missing the beef and chili. The other dishes were also not hot but barely warm. Service was mediocre and the place was only half full. It's not worth the wait. Food tasted okay but not worth the price. Have always wanted to eat here since it was built but finally had the opportunity just recently. We were seated rather quickly given they weren't too busy. Our server, Andrew, was quick to come take our drink and appetizer order. His suggestion for the appetizer was perfect. The egg rolls were incredible. But that's the extent of what was exceptional. Service included. "No straws available" we were told yet the large table and smaller table seated after us all received straws. Same server. What gives? My burger was not done to order and the fish tacos my husband ordered lacked sauce or had little sauce. Getting our servers attention for refills? That required chasing him across the restaurant after he had just left the neighboring table without checking to see if we needed anything. When he was found, he was watching tv at the bar. My husband left a review and was contacted by the business owner asking for contact info. He gave it. That's been 22 days ago and no contact has been made. One of the worst dining experiences. Our server was nice enough but missing for 95% of our meal. We waited about 20 minutes to get in (not terrible at all!) After we were sat, it was another 10 minutes to order our drinks. Those came fairly promptly. Then our server went missing. When she finally arrived and took our order, We then waited for over 45 minutes for our food. My son and I ordered teriyaki chicken and shrimp. My shrimp was charred beyond the point of no return and tasted like an ash tray. The chicken was dry. The broccoli was water logged. My husbands nachos had cold meat on them. I asked for extra teryaki after I got my food. It took her 20 minutes to get it and then once I poured it all over my already-cold chicken at this point, I realized it was refrigerated sauce and it made all my food extra cold...my son waited 30 minutes for a refill on water. At one point when our waitress was still missing, my husband went and told a host that we were waiting on refills, waiting on sauce, charred shrimp, etc. She seemed to spring into action and walk to the kitchen only for her to walk back out and start sweeping the floors. Visited during the hyped Christmas times of Pigeon Forge so of course it was crowded but this place is centrally located in the middle of a lot to do so location gets 5 stars in my book! The only deduction was the vibe. I've been to many Margaritaville's in the past and part of going for me is the experience of loud energetic fun! And the day we went it was low key and no music and the waitresses and people were just doing their job. Now they served us fine and all but there was no energy... We got the nachos-- HUGE portion. But still no napkins or silverware. Our server then went MIA. You could tell there was some staff drama, which may have been the reason for the poor service. If you're looking for a nice place to eat I would strongly recommend that you find somewhere else: We requested to sit outside, but immediately regretted our decision the smell was absolutely atrocious. It smelled like garbage. I'm not one to normally bash restaurants because I know how hard it can be to run a business, but the Margaritaville franchise has been in business since 1985. This specific one operating since 2014. We ordered one appetizer and two entrées and the total added up to over $70. Id like to mention that we didn't order any special drinks, and also note that the portions were not large. With that being said, although the food wasn't necessarily awful it was quite mediocre and definitely not worth $70. I would also like to mention the outdoor musician was definitely not it, at one point we noticed that he stopped strumming his guitar and that he wasn't even genuinely playing, it was a recording. I know that wasn't a big deal, but it definitely added on to our very mediocre experience. With that being said, the workers were pretty nice but it was noticeable that they are they are overworked and I guaranteed their pay doesn't make up for it. read more

Nice clean hotel, but a bit overpriced. There's not near enough parking and many amenities were not finished. It was so frustrating to come back every night, circle the lot and end up parking in a random area that was dark and far away. Additionally, they don't have a service elevator so half the time we were in the elevator we were joined by large trash bins, housekeeping carts, etc. As for the room, there was a good layout: bedroom with two twin beds plus king bed in main area. However, the bathroom design was lacking common sense: no towel hooks, no shelves for products, and the only safety bar was in a corner no where near the shower entry. read more

Last night was a blast! A much needed escape from life. The resteraunt was slow and we were one of the few people inside, but the service was excellent! They staff was friendly and attentive, and made an effort to get to know us. The decor was creative and inventive and we loved watching the giant margarita blender! The food was good, not the best. The cheese sauce for the pretzels need some work, but it was presented really well! The drinks were amazing, but the best part of the whole thing was the surprise live music!!!! They didn't cancel even though they were slow and it was amazing to have live music with a great band! They were very impressive and obviously love what they do. Made us stay much longer then we would have and had an excellent unexpectedly magical night because of that. The band was Mike Snodgrass.
