The restaurant itself was clean as well as the bathrooms. Good lighting and noise level not too loud. The food wasn't great, mostly heat and serve but the two who got the burgers said it was good and the kids meals are good sized. The service was HORRIBLE, our waitress(seen in photos) could not be found when we needed her for napkins(she forgot to leave us), refills on drinks not to mention her poor attitude like she was bothered to help us! Party of 8 with a predetermined tip so maybe she knew it didn't matter what she did for us since she found lots of time to talk to a coworker on the stairs. Sadly we would have left a tip for good service. My advice is don't go there not worth the quality of food and service. Plenty of other choices in the area. Listen, when it comes to tourist locations, I will always point in the direction of locally owned and operated places, and there are a good selection of those in the area. However, when you have 10 people and a baby, and your family is full of closet parrotheads, it sometimes is the safest bet, and they didn't disappoint. Danielle was hands down, the best server I've ever seen in a Margaritaville location. She was full of positive energy, extremely accommodating, and went above and beyond to fulfill requests. Terrible food - Terrible service I called earlier from my hotel to make a reservation and they told me that they didn't take reservations. When my wife and I got to the front desk they asked if we had a reservations. ?? We were seated upstairs and had to wait about 10 minutes for a server. He was snotty and barely attended .. only taking our order and giving us our check. I ordered the seafood platter and my wife ordered the coconut shrimp. The food had no flavor other than the dipping sauces. They tasted like they came right out of a frozen food box. We ordered Pina Coladas expecting a tropical themed restaurant to specialize in them. They were the worst. at $11 a glass. Just crushed ice and some coconut rum with a pineapple wedge.. that's it! My wife barely touched hers. When I got the bill at almost $90 I decided a 10% was more than fair considering the food and lack of service. I noted on the receipt - food lousy - pina colada's terrible - service mediocre (sad face). When my wife were leaving we were confronted by our server at the bottom of the stairs as why we left such a low tip and bad review. I had to control myself. Went here for a drink before the ball dropped on New Years. It was very busy, but was able to get a drink at the bar without a long wait. Well...it was margaritaville. The blender was a bit subpar at this one, compared to others. The food was also meh, but it was great considering how long you have to wait for it. The service wasn't great - we were waiting quite a while to even be acknowledged, but our server and all the others really just seemed overwhelmed. Doesn't take reservations so we walked in early on a Tuesday at 5:30 for a group of 13 for my brothers birthday, including 5 kids. We were seated quickly, which was awesome! Over 90 min later we still didn't have food, were told another group was being served. Other smaller parties got seated, ate, and left in the time we had ordered. I am pretty sure they forgot our food order entirely. When the food arrived it was wrong - 3 orders incorrect. My sweet potato fries were completely cold. 2 orders missing. I asked for an order of fries heated up and they just refried my order and they were burnt to a crisp. They didn't offer anything else. Didn't replace them. My bang bang shrimp had sauce on 2 pieces. It was my brothers 50th bday and I bought shots for everyone - they were $12.50 a shot. We bought several rounds of drinks. I asked for them to do something fun like sing happy birthday (heard them doing for another bday) and they did nothing. I've never been to a margaritaville before, that being said I love how consistently the theme is. It's a busy and can be loud at times. My young children thought it was such a fun environment. We got sat in ten minutes when we were estimated 20 minutes. I got the mahi tacos and they were so delicious, their moonshine drinks were delicious too. You definitely come here for the experience and the drinks. The food is also good but the bill definitely adds up fast. My boyfriend and i came on Saturday as a last minute trip while passing through the area and had to stop and have our first experience at margaritaville! The ballon artist are funny and amazing and i love the fact the adults get into just as much as the kids do. We both of course got margaritas and paid the additional money to have the suvinor cup with the discounted refills (i mean why not when its good at any location). For an appetizer we got the volcano nachos...and omg is that thing big! We made a dent in it but definitely way more than 2 people can eat in one sitting so we took it back to the hotel room. My boyfriend got the jerk salmon with island rice which i tried and was amazing and i got the club sandwhich which was also tasty. Overall great experience our server was friendly snd came to the table often and offered suggestion. However i minus one star becuse the portion size on the salmon dinnet was extremely small for the price you pay...and i said no tomatoes on my sandwhich and it still had it on there. Our server was good! But, the food was very blah. We paid $106.00 for mediocre food. Definitely something I could have gotten anywhere else for half the price. They seated us at a dirty table that still had Mac and cheese in the chairs. My husband's water had something in it. My drink had an ant in it when the server brought it. The ribs were over peppered. I have been to multiple Margaritaville's across the U.S., and this one is by far the most gorgeous that I have seen. I am a big Jimmy Buffet fan and love the atmosphere, however sometimes these restaurants can remind me that I'm just in another tourist trap. This restaurant is two stories tall, and I was glad that our party of 6 was able to be seated immediately. The service was just okay; Our waiter was not the friendliest however our food/drinks came out in a timely manner. He did disappear for a bit when some of us needed refills/whatever else. The main thing I love to come here for are the drinks. I love anything frozen, fruity and tropical, and they have so many different ones to choose from. This has been the only experience that disappointed me. I got the raspberry daiquiri, which was watery and served in a water glass. The food itself is alright, but just so frickin' expensive. I do enjoy their Cheeseburger in Paradise, which is my usual for when I come here. I love their gift shop that is attached, and would love to try out the hotel sometime that is next door. The restaurant can be a fun experience, but just be prepared to shell out a ton of money and expect the 'tourist trap' quality. read more

When we arrived we were told it would be a 30 minute wait... no problem it's a Saturday that's expected what we didn't expect was for us to be sat at a table and for the waitress to come over not even 1 minute after us just sitting down and saying are you All ready to order yet.. definitely caught all of us off guard we explained to her that we weren't ready but we did want appetizers she seemed disappointed when we said that as if it was a hassle for her to have to go put them in and then have to come back to get our actual meal items she eventually came back got our order and then left again we wanted to order drinks but could never get her attention so we decided to walk over to the bar to not frustrate our server anymore she decided to walk over to our table and tell the one person at our table that she needs to come and tell us to sit down because we are not allowed to order drinks at the bar as our other person was coming to tell us she cut in front of her and came and told us we needed to have a seat that they only way we could order drinks was through her... no big deal as we went to walk away she said you know what just tell me your drink order now and show me your IDs we said no problem gave her our drink orders and handed over our ids one person in our party was born in 2004 she said she had to have the manager check the id and for us to have a seat so we did she came back 15 minutes later with the drinks and the ID I thought that was just extremely unprofessional seeing how she could have sent the manager over to the table instead of carrying around peoples private information such as there address full name and DOB after that our apps came out we got the spinach dip and the fried pickles the Spinach dip was ok was not anything to write home about and the fried pickles were absolutely disgusting burned to a crisp and extremely salty we said nothing because we were honestly scared to make our waitress become hostile so we kept quite ate maybe 2 bites and sat it on the end of the table then our mains came out I had gotten the club sandwich and side salad with ranch this was easily one of the most disgusting meals I have ever had in my entire life the lettuce was brown the tomatoes looked unwashed the meat smelled sour I took one bite and slid my plate to the other end of the table my husband got a garlic burger and fries he ate half of the burger and I ate his fries because as I stated earlier my plate was soured and all I had to eat was his food the waitress never came by to ask if Everything was okay never asked any questions came by to leave the checks and grabbed the plates that had been picked off of meaning a full bowl of fried pickles a whole club sandwich and salad as if it wasn't even touched and Half of a burger as a server myself I notice when customers don't eat all there food when clearing and I especially notice when and entire plate of food is left untouched at the end of the table she never asked picked up the plates as if nothing was wrong say down our 77 doallar check and walked away I have no problem paying that amount for good food but that was simply the WORST meal I have ever had and the worst service experience I've ever seen will not be back and do not recommend going here!!! read more

Have been twice to try to give them benefit of doubt and will never be back. Took our server over 5 minutes to come so we ended up leaving. They changed a lot of the menu and limited items that were very popular including their pretzel. The first time we went the food was not seasoned or tasted good at all. The host did not seem familiar with the waitlist system and made the welcoming to the restaurant a little frustrating. The system, however is very nice! We were staying at the Margaritaville Island Hotel and with the longer wait times, we were able to go to our room and return when they were ready for us. When we sat down, our server was very open about some kitchen issues that were NOT expressed by the hostess. The only food they could cook was burgers, their nachos, or a salad. They were out of everything on their menu. That was so extremely irritating! Had I know. In the beginning, I would have never stayed! My burger was nothing special, the nachos my husband ordered with mainly chips and lacked all the toppings. The MacNCheese is just Kraft and the sweet potato fries..DON'T waste your money!!! Over fried and taste like freezer burn. The bathroom was DISGUSTING! Toilet paper wadded up on the floor around the toilet, the floor was grimey and the toilet paper holder was broken and wasn't even slightly repaired to be functional. I'm not sure if we just went on a bad night, but I honestly wouldn't return to waste my time and money. read more

The staff was friendly and attentive, but if your looking for a fun family style restaurant, you can definitely do better. I attached a photo of the two items we ordered the Lava Lava shrimp and appetizer trio, which are horribly small portions btw. Both dishes tasted old and like they just came out of a freezer, then microwaved. Now being from Chicago, we're used to paying outrageous prices for food and beverage items but this was ridiculous. Our bill was $56 for two small unsavory dishes, one margarita and one 14oz land shark lager. We haven't given up on margaritaville though, just this location. You've been warned. read more

The best Margaritaville we've visited! There's a wrap around patio that leads to a bar over looking the Island view, on the water extremely charming! The hostess was friendly had a 30 min wait on a Saturday night, not bad. We sat in the Adirondack colorful chairs out front watching the activities. This is located in the heart of The Island. A huge shopping complex with bars, hotels, fountains, live music, games we love hanging out at the buzzy location. Always fun and festive. The interior is huge with an open balcony where they announced activities and birthdays. Huge screens televised concerts, the music was perfect current yet campy. I had a few drinks, but the Incommunicado was yummy and very strong, thankfully. Server was a younger guy with brown curly hair. He was dynamic, attentive and fun. A true asset to this place. Food came out correct shrimp and grits, burgers, frys, and tenders. The shrimp and grits were the best, followed by the burger. The tenders need to be changed to a new vendor or made in house. They were too hard, having a flaky tender would be wonderful. This is my only complaint. Overall be a parrot head, stop by, not your typical chain due to location and outdoor seating overlooking water. Really a special property! read more
