    Great family day entertainment
    jackie s.

What a fantastic fun place for children on a rainy day!! My grandson came from Ct with his family I had never been and I see so little of my grandchildren When we got there we were shocked at the price of each adult to sit and watch the kids So for an afternoon of four hours it cost 3 adults plus child $ 240. This is a bit out of my ranch I hope this review may make a difference in the adult admission The concept and park itself is awesome Jackie Ps I also enjoyed a private 80 th birthday party in one of your function rooms So Could it be $20 for just watching !!

Everyone here is so nice! I love everyone's kindness and the resort is so clean and their attention to detail is phenomenal. My husband and I go to Las Vegas all the time and we truly feel that this resort is right on par with the high-end hotels on the strip! On Thanksgiving night, we had a great time at the bar with Carl and Leo. They're friendliness and delicious beverages are unmatched!

The freshly updated resort was nice. They did a great job transitioning this from the old hotel that was very run down. We got here at 1230 for an early check in at 12 that was approved as part of the pre check in. Our room was not ready until 4pm. That was a bummer. Overall the room was very nice. Check out is 11am and we were denied late check out. Checking in a 4pm and having to leave by 11am seems a bit unfair. The waterpark was well done. A lazy river, slides, and a wave pool. There was an insane amount of people in the lazy river, but we had a great time. The arcade was great for the kids. It was fairly priced and the attendants at check out both times let my son get a toy he was short a few points for! The restaurant here was quite impressive. The drinks were great and the food was solid. Overall we were impressed with the hotel, but under-impressed by the service and were deeply disappointed that we traveled 2 hours with an approved early check in, and were left sitting in the lobby until 4pm. Parking here is very tough, beware!

We stayed at the brand new, renovated resort and had a nice time! Rooms are beautiful and the price was right. Spacious, bright, comfortable. I booked through Expedia, apparently the water park is only included if you book directly. We paid for the water park separately but because we were staying got a discounted rate, $25 per person and access was valid from when we purchased at 6pm until 1pm the next day, but we were given new wristbands the next day at no charge. The water park is ok, there's not a ton to do but the younger kids will be very happy, our 7 year old had a great time at the wave pool, lazy river, and using the slides. The lobby, restaurants, and facilities are all beautiful and comfortable. We really enjoyed the activities: karaoke and live animals. The day we left the activity was a magician. Food was good, don't expect knock your socks off dishes, but everything was tasty, fresh, well portioned and fairly priced. Service: - Joe's merchant cafe: really spectacular, above and beyond service. All the ladies that work there are lovely! - Land Shark: lacking, we stood at the entrance with 2 other families waiting while the bartender watched, waitress was ok, food came out promptly. - front desk: service could be much friendlier, it was tepid at best. - cleaning staff: outstanding!!! - water park staff: so friendly and accommodating! Overall a very nice experience and I would recommend it to families, a much needed upgrade from other similar places in the area!

Black mold above room A/C unit

It's bright and colorful and the indoor water park is fun for a couple of hours if you're with kids, but the condition of the room when I woke up was ridiculous. During the night I felt drops of water hit me, and when I woke up I saw that the entire floor and the ceiling were covered in a layer condensation. The floor was so wet I thought there was a leak at first and the ceiling was literally dripping water. Anything that was left out was damp, including clothes and shoes. It was very unpleasant. There also seemed to be black mold above the A/C unit. What I found most troubling was when the state of the room was mentioned at check out, the attendant shrugged and told my father, "Yeah, it's humidity." When my dad asked if it had been reported before, he was nonchalantly told "yes." So it's clear that the resort is aware of the problem and they are doing nothing about it. I never write reviews, but my experience was disappointing enough that I felt others should know. This hotel is not cheap, but the comfortability of the rooms does not equal the cost. I was only there for one night and I wouldn't encourage people to book a stay there.

We stayed at the new Margaritaville on a Monday night in December. They had just opened so we were able to get a grand opening special deal. The special included 20% off of the hotel room, a $25 credit and four park passes for each day that we were there. The check-in experience was great. I did ask for no down pillows and was told that they only have pillows that are down and polyester together. I ended up sleeping on a Margaritaville pillow that seemed to not have any down in it. If you are allergic, please note that you might want to bring your own pillow. We were told on check-in that the waterpark is only open from 3 PM to 8 PM which was rather disappointing. When I called to ask how many passes we were going to receive per day, this was not told to me. Please be aware of this if you plan on using the waterpark. The updates of the lobby are incredible. It's sad to see that there's no longer a fireplace, but rather a flip-flop, which goes along with the Margaritaville decor. We stayed in room 1118 and it faced the courtyard. We were able to access the room with a Margaritaville bracelet instead of a key, which I really liked. We were also able to park right outside of the door to our hallway. We went to both of the water parks and not much has changed if you ever visited the Cape Codder resort. It looks like they may have painted a little bit, but otherwise both rooms are exactly the same. No one checked us in so we both just grabbed two towels and went right into the lazy river. The room itself was beautifully decorated. This is probably the best part of our stay. We had a room facing the courtyard and if it was nicer out, we had two Adirondack chairs outside to hang out in. The restaurants at the hotel were great, I posted reviews for each one of those individually in case you are wondering what they offer. It does look like they're breaking ground behind the hotel so I'm sure they will be expanding. Looking forward to seeing the great things at this place has to offer to our area.

    Disaster

Waterslides 'temporarily closed' the ENTIRE DAY. No reason given. No refund given. Worst place ever. Total ripoff.

We've been here when it was the cape codder. The rooms were meh The water park was cool and the Arcade was decent. The Rebranding and refurbishing was such an improvement. The rooms looked cleaner and more new, The beds are more comfortable than before and the staff are so much more friendly. I represent a family of four and despite the high price for the rooms and the water park admission , We will come back here for another two night stay

We visited Margaritaville Cape Cod over Presidents' Day weekend during a snowstorm, and the moment we stepped inside, we felt transported to a tropical paradise. Taking over a decades-old hotel, Margaritaville did a fantastic job of transforming the space into a vibrant, island-inspired retreat. The resort is beautifully themed, with every inch embracing the Jimmy Buffett Margaritaville vibe. LandShark Bar & Grill was a highlight--great food, friendly service, and a lively atmosphere. The Hawaiian Luau Burger and fish & chips (with a light beer batter) were standouts, and the Key Lime Pie was a must-try. For breakfast, there's a coffee shop serving smoothies, coffee, and sandwiches, plus a reasonably priced buffet ($18 adults, $12 kids) with all the essentials. We booked the King Suite Apartment/Condo, which was spacious and well-equipped, featuring a whirlpool tub with color-changing lights and a steam shower--both incredible additions. However, while advertised for four guests, the space realistically accommodates three, as the sofa does not convert into a bed. The hotel does offer a cot for an additional charge, but they should clarify this in the room description. The resort offers a 30,000 sq. ft. waterpark, complete with 4 slides, a wave pool, a lazy river, and a massive hot tub--perfect for families. Hotel guests get 50% off waterpark tickets, a great perk. They're also adding a tiki bar next to the waterpark, which will be a fantastic addition once complete. Other amenities include an arcade, nightly entertainment (magicians, movies, balloon artists), and an outdoor area with fire pits, hammocks, and lawn games--sure to be a hit in warmer months. The resort is still fine-tuning some details, with ongoing renovations to the spa and an upcoming tiki bar (possibly a restaurant as well) by the waterpark. Pricing is on the higher side, which we heard some guests mention, but this isn't a budget hotel--it's a full Margaritaville experience and you get what you pay for. Overall, we had a fantastic time and fully expect this place to be a summer hotspot. The staff is working hard to fine-tune operations, and we look forward to returning!

No food into the water park, order from our snack bar that was non-existent. Or order from our restaurant that doesn't do to go orders

Peak summer booking that cost $500 a night for partial view of the beach. Beautiful place. Very well kept, lots of student workers. Very helpful staff. They charged my card twice for the same amount. The biggest source of frustration was trying to get food. At check-in we were told both resorts had restaurants and beach bars, which made it sound like there would be plenty of options. In reality, it was difficult to know what would be open or serving food at any given time. We couldn't find consistent hours on the website or in our check-in materials, and even employees often seemed unsure. The Riviera café was essentially grab-and-go. We used it for breakfast, but typically only one or two menu items were actually available and they were premade and reheated. The coffee options were good, though. We tried going there for lunch after discovering Jonah's was closed and found premade salads and leftover breakfast sandwiches. The employees actually directed us to Jonah's and seemed surprised when we told them it was closed. The beach bar was the most consistent food option, but choices were limited and mostly fried/heavy. At Jonah's, we waited more than an hour for four salads one evening and about 45 minutes for two salads and a pizza another. Places were frequently out of menu items or ingredients, and the beach bar was even completely out of silverware at one point. Unfortunately, the property also felt very worn. Our bathtub was rusty and had peeling paint, the bathroom door barely closed, our TV had a black line running through the screen, and our balcony railing felt loose enough to make us uncomfortable. Carpeting throughout the property looked worn and dirty. An ice machine was broken for our entire stay, the beach foot sprayer was broken, and many interior doors were warped from humidity. The heated pools were still quite cold, while the hot tub was almost unbearably hot. Housekeeping was another issue. Our room wasn't serviced until day three, after I contacted the front desk and asked for service. When they agreed to provide full service, we left the room so they could work. When we returned, the beds had simply been made with the existing sheets rather than having the sheets changed. Staff presence was inconsistent as well. People generally weren't particularly friendly or welcoming and often seemed unaware of what was happening elsewhere at the resort. Beach attendant coverage was unpredictable enough that at one point I grabbed the sand drill myself and installed our umbrella. There were positives. Our room had lots of convenient places to charge devices, which was surprisingly nice. More importantly, the private beach is gorgeous. It's easily accessible and the ocean views are fantastic. We paid for an ocean-view room, and I'm very glad we did because sitting outside and enjoying that view genuinely made the stay better. The location gives this property tremendous potential. Unfortunately, the maintenance issues, inconsistent housekeeping, confusing food availability, and lack of attentive service made it feel like the resort simply isn't being operated at the level its location deserves.

We had stayed there for the past 8-10 years during the week after Labor Day, most recently in September of 2025. We always reserved the same room and always made arrangements for the following year before we checked out. We reserved the room for September 2026 during our stay in September 2025 and paid the requested deposit on December 22, 2025. The reservation was confirmed by the Anchor In on December 22, 2025. We reside in South Florida and had traveled to Maine on August 28, 2026 and were staying at a hotel there prior to traveling to the Anchor In for our September stay. Much to our surprise and chagrin and dismay we were contacted by the Anchor In by e-mail on September 2, 2026 to inform us that they had DOUBLE-BOOKED the room and were unable to honor our RESERVATION. Instead, they offered to find us a room at another facility, one at which we had no desire to stay at, and, which was not nearly of an equivalent stature of the Anchor In. The hotel that they chose to send us to was not one with a harbor view and did not have the type of amenities that we preferred. Their excuse was that there had been an error in their reservation system and that they had only recently discovered the error and the DOUBLE BOOKING!!!!! Considering the very short notice from the Anchor In and the fact that we are over 1500 miles from our home and it is the LABOR DAY WEEKEND we have been able to obtain an alternative reservation at a hotel of our choosing!!!!!! I am greatly disturbed at the callous behavior on the part of the Anchor In. The responsibility for the DOUBLE BOOKING lies entirely with the Anchor In. They should have apologized and cancelled the reservation of whomever it was that they chose to put into the room that we had reserved.
