My family and I stayed at Cape Codder during April vacation weekend. At first, I was happy to find a waterpark with children activities for the children during the pandemic. I read on the website as well as speaking to your staff prior to our arrival about your safety precaution in accordance with COVID 19 protocol and was told to rest assured about Cape Codder's initiatives to keep customers safe. However, during our stay, when we went to the lazy river as well as the wave pool, people did not stay 6 feet apart at all. For instance, when we were in the lazy river, people jumped onto us, and came very close, not even a foot apart. I raised my concerns with the staff because while you can advocate the chlorine in the water kills the virus, people were trying to talk to one another, also trying to talk to us, not wearing masks and in very close proximity. When I raised my concerns with the staff that people did not practice social distancing, the lifeguard told me there is nothing they can do about it. On Saturday night, April 24, 2021, there was a kid who got sick in the wave pool and the wave pool was shut down, which is fine and I totally understand. However, the lazy river was already crowded and I felt like the pandemic did not even exist here!!!! Of course everyone in the wave pool came into the lazy river and it was so so crowded! As a mother, of course I would have to make the decision that is the safest for my children. Therefore, I had to pool them off all the pools and only used the pool when you guys first opened in the morning and close to closure time at night to make sure my children were safe. Even with more and more people getting vaccinated, the target audience of the resort are children and children under 12 cannot take vaccination! The unsafe practice at your resort made this audience even more vulnerable!!! The social distancing should have been enforced to make sure Cape Codder does not become a COVID cluster in the community!! During our stay, we only got to use the water activities for 3 hours in total because I cannot make my children safe alone, by myself, without the coordination of your staff and other guests. I spent a lot of money just for my children to have some activities during their April break and did not feel my money was well spent! I suggest you should have plan for allotment plan (guests reserve the time when they use the pool, wave pool or lazy river) to make sure you can cap the capacity and make sure your customers and the community are safe!! - I did write this email to Cape Coder corporate so that they can work on their protocol! However, the only response I got is they would look into it Also another feedback is for over $700 I spent for 2 nights, the pillows were suck and the blankets were so rough with so much pilling and discoloration! Even my kids who are not very picky would refuse to use the blanket as it irritated their skin. I called front desk to send another one and it was the same thing. Ended up staying here on a business trip as I saw prior great reviews. First impression was great- Nikki at the front desk was so kind and helpful! The hotel was gorgeous, clean, and comfortable. The waterpark was amazing as well! There's a place to get snacks and drinks at the waterpark and the worker, Sam, was so kind to us even though we showed up minutes before close. The arcade is open 24/7 and has a variety of games to play. The Hearth & Kettle was a yummy spot for lunch (the pepperoni pizza was great). I would definitely come back! If you choose to buy a hotel in the cape then you have the money to spend and not pass it off on customers like giant corporations do! I've stayed here for a wedding as a person in a wedding party previously at this resort and it was great... The water park was really fun, especially for The bridal party.. the guy specifically had a blast! But to hear that they are charging for that tiny water park when you're already paying to stay there because it has a water park! What would be the point of coming to stay at a place like this if they are going to nickel and dime you and take every ounce of what the whole point of that place was about and turn it into corporate greed?! I tend to Judge a place I visit on "Bang for the Buck" and this place, like many resorts, gouges at every opportunity. Example: The on site restaurants and Cafe's are really pricey for what you are getting. The Margaritas are super expensive and 3/4 ice and we paid almost $20 for a single glass of Red wine. I know... I know... "they ALL do it"... or..."you're paying for the convenience". Still does not make it right. Next: They have an indoor water park. WARNING: This is not included in the price of your room/stay. Be aware you have to book a package that has the water park included or pay when you get there. The price, since we were guests at the resort, was $30 each for 24 hours. The place opens at 10 closes at 8pm. We opted not to pay. Oh yeah and they also charge $50 "Resort Fee" Tacked onto your room charge EVERY night. Apparently the "Resort Fee" can't be used for free admission to the water park as a guest. AND not only do you tip for food and drinks and room service... when you check out online they ask if want to leave a tip for the staff. There is an Outdoor pool and Hot tub both clean and nice to hang out for the afternoon, there is a black chain link fence around the whole thing so it gives off a bit of a prison yard vibe. And to top it all off, we pulled one of the towels out of the bathroom vanity and there was a small cockroach on it. I killed it and to be fair we did not see any others in the room after an exhaustive search, so that may have been a one off refugee from a worker or something. Good news is that the location of the resort affords many off site nearby places to eat or have a cocktail so you are not totally captured by the resort. The room was nicely appointed, we had a 2nd floor balcony that opened onto the courtyard, which is adorned with fire pits and Adirondack chairs to sit and relax and enjoy, live music and your really expensive watered down Margarita. read more

Had a horrible experience here just few days ago. When making reservation the assured me that outside pool is open. Wrong been closed for reservations for awhile now. They promised me a room with access to courtyard that wasn't available once we arrived. Next we decided to stay anyways and was told that we were lucky to get one of the new rooms...when we walked in, there was no dresser to put out clothes and the bedding had several hairs on bed and stains on blanket. Oh man. I really wanted to like this place. The concept is amazing and really awesome during the winter months. There's a significant staffing issue right now, which leaves the visitor to feel a little uncomfortable with the level of cleanliness and readiness to receive guests. The waterpark had sections closed, because there was just not enough staff. So, over the course of two days, we were able to see most of the attractions, but not all. I think the worst part of it was the fact that the smell of chlorine was so incredibly strong that my husband and I both felt ill. He was more so than myself, but I had a major headache, the whole time I was there and had trouble breathing. I didn't even go into the water, because I was already feeling so sick, and had to take breathing breaks while my kids went swimming. Even they were coughing up a storm after only being in the swimming area for about an hour hour and a half. I picked this place based on the indoor water park. Such a disappointment, Ok check in..we got 2 10 dollar credits to the onsite restaurant. It was myself and my son along with Francis the ferret. Our room was clean, but had a "smell" very standard issue room with some cape cod charm. Restaurant- over priced and not worth it.. 40 bucks for lunch. We did use 20 off... Waterpark- kinda over packed for corona times. The lifeguards all worn. Socks and shoes.... So Idk if they would even jump in to rescue you. The hours are horrible.. They closed at 8pm.... Kids were bored and running the hall ways. Even outdoor pool closed at 8... Behind dumb...hot tubs were closed I wish they had a adult indoor pool. I see on weekends the pool outside had a 1 hour adult hour.. Still lame. We also went to the spa on site and that was 5 stars! Amazing mom and kid massage Overall not worth the money. They need to extend the hours. 8pm is too early for vacation kids and adults..pools on my work trip stay open later. I will be looking at other places next time I go to the Cape. read more

We Found candy wrappers all over our room when we arrived. I saw someone I know when leaving the waterpark and their family had to switch rooms twice because of cleanliness. You have to be 48" tall to go on any of the watersides which is ridiculous because they are not that big. The slides are all closed slides. They closed the lazy River twice when we were there. That left the wave pool for my 7 year old to use which was SO crowded!! I left something behind and called the next day to see if it was there......the WORST customer service! They left me on hold for 20 minutes so I had to hang up and call back. They just kept telling me to call different places and transferring me. Nobody wanted to help me. **I understand this a long review, but there were so many issues to cover, there was no choice for it to be this long. My best friend and our 2 children, both 5, went to cape for the Polar Express train ride. (My mini review of the train ride is that it was amazing. Highly recommend.) We decided to stay at The Cape Codder because it had a water park and we thought that would be a good way to occupy the kids while we were at the hotel. Our dates were Sunday-Monday (December 8-9.) I called on October 22 to make my reservation; they informed me that they were transitioning the hotel to Margaritaville, but we could still make a reservation. The initial call I made took almost 45 minutes. I booked 2 rooms, and requested that they be conjoining or at the very least next to each other (which is the reason we called vs online booking). I will say there was a bit of a language barrier and I was very patient during the process. The representative was very courteous and ensured all the information was correct. Once we were at the point of providing a credit card to finalize the reservation, he told me that he needed to call me back in 10 minutes on a secure line. I've never heard of that before, but sure, ok. After about a half hour with no phone call, I call again. I explained that I had just called, and someone was supposed to call me back to take my card. The representative looked up my info, and nothing was in the system. I spent another 25 minutes booking an entirely new reservation and this representative never had to call me back on a secure line for my card. 2 hours later, the original gentleman called me back to finish the reservation. A few days later, I went to the email to review the confirmation and it showed only having one room booked. Frustrated after spending over an hour on the phone, I call again. Here's how the woman answered the phone "Cape Codder...Margaritaville.... this is so & so, we are very busy right now, I need to take your phone number and call you back later." wait...what?!? Ok, I provided her the info and she called me back about 30 minutes later. She confirmed that I did in fact have 2 rooms booked and she would resend the confirmation email. She mentioned that they were transitioning from the Cape Codder to Margaritaville and that things were very hectic there. Again, I was very patient, and all I wanted was to ensure my rooms were booked correctly. About a week before we checked in, I received the typical hotel email about my upcoming stay, including if we wanted to check in early. We opted for the "very early check-in (12:00)" which was $40 a piece, so that we could get ready at the hotel for the train. The next day I received an email that "my request for very early check-in was denied." I texted my friend to let her know, and she said she would call over to see if there was any wiggle room. She called, and the hotel did not answer. She called back a few minutes later and again no answer. She waited about 2 hours, finally got through, and the response she received was "all 200 rooms were booked, and we could not check in early." Not many travel to the cape in December, and to have all 200 rooms booked for a Sunday-Monday, felt very odd to us. Also, why even offer "very early check in" or even "early check in" if it's not available. We called the morning of (twice) and again the hotel did not answer at all. We ended up heading right to the train instead. We left the train ride at about 3:45 and arrived at the hotel a little after 4. As we pull into the parking lot, my friend looks at me and says "wow, really busy." There were MAYBE 5-10 cars in the parking lot. I head up to the welcome desk, and honestly, the check-in was the smoothest part of this whole thing. It was quick and easy. We got our room keys, loaded the bags and the kids and headed to the rooms. The rooms are very nice, clean and spacious. We changed right into our bathing suits and headed for the water park. The water park is small, but very nice, especially for those with younger kids. Plenty of tables and chairs to choose from. They told us all 200 rooms were booked, but there were only 2 or 3 other families at the water park. There was a bar and a place you could order food from. The locker rooms were clean and very nice, but NONE of the bathroom stalls locked. There was an attendant in the bathroom and I asked her why none of the doors locked. She asked me if I actually went into the stall to lock them...?? Yep, and none of them lock. She went back to looking at her phone. Anyway, the kids played for awhile and then we ordered something to eat. I went and picked up the order from the gazebo, and went back to our table. We had no kids drinks and one of the kids got the wrong food. (If you have a picky eater, you know how tricky this can be.) It had two large divots in the mattress that looked like 500 LB people had slept there. But most egregious were the BEDBUGS! We were bitten many times. In the morning I asked for the manager. The young lady at the counter identified herself as the manager. I told her about the bedbugs and requested a refund. She stated that the bedbugs would need to be verified by a third party and that she was not trained to do refunds. I then requested a general manager. I was told they were in a meeting. First Time here. Please be aware I am comparing to other slightly higher price resorts. Arrival and first impressions: I would literally miss the place of I t was not for my GPS. Underwhelming is a good word for it. No elevators to second floors. So any family with strollers or a lot of luggage be sure to try for first floor. Specially single parents or large families. Room: Feels like a old holiday in. All the basics with cable TV (non hd) with no options to change input(sources) if you brought a console or chrome cast. Place smells like an antique shop. Smell of old wood. Like grandmas place. No views. It's parking lot all the way around. Also big negative for me was the shower water pressure. I felt like I was being sprayed with a windex bottle. You think being a water resort water pressure would be better. Water park: Decent size for pre teens. Anyone under the age of 13 would enjoy it. Biggest complaint would be the room temperature in the Waterpark. The humidity makes it feel like 90 degrees 80 if you in the shade. Needs much better air circulation. The food shack was good. They where understaffed and they did post it stating so so I won't hold that against them for long lines. Staff at the shack where very friendly and quick. Even with how busy they are very impressed with the ladies behind that counter keeping composure and professionalism. Prices were expected. 17 to 20 for full pizzas. 7 to 10 for adult drinks. 4 to 6 for others. Food was good for what it was. Now, on to the part that made me happy. The Arcade is 24/7 with a auto vendor prize. The prize counter closes at 10. But the fact that the arcade is open late is a positive. Also the in house restaurant. I was very impressed with the food and so was my family. Conclusion: If I lived closer I would just do the day pass for the kids 12 and under for some fun water park and the restaurant / arcade. I had been to this place when it was the Cape Codder in 2021 and it was really fun. It has since changed ownership, is now Margaritaville and the quality has gone considerably down hill! I feel like I got completely ripped off for the amount of money we paid to stay here for one night and for one day at the water park. For one there were no towels at the water park the entire time we were there. We left wet and freezing. And it cost $100 to get in at a 50% discounted rate as hotel guests. The debit card reader did not work at the water park so unless you had cash you could not buy even a water or snack. There was a small bug in the coffee I purchased in the cafe (was likely in the milk), and our 5 year old was finding peanut M&Ms that were never cleaned up off the floor from a previous guest. I will never come here again especially for $350 a night! I surely felt like wasted away (money) in Margaritaville! read more

My friend and I just arrived here at the resort a few hours ago and already we have been treated like family. Our receptionist, Laura, was extremely helpful to me as I was checking into our rooms and even allowed us to check into our room two hours earlier than regular checkin time which was at three pm. We booked a junior suite which for us was located in the 200's building. It was so close to the water park and the arcade which was super ideal for us. Because it was cold and rainy, we didn't get to explore the other side of the resort that has the beach, outdoor pool and hot tub. Inside the water park there is a lazy river, water slide, and pirate ship play area for the little little ones. In the next room, there is the wave pool and indoor hot tub. My faves were the lazy river in the earlier part of the morning since they're are less people so a much better opportunity to enjoy the lazy part of lazy river. The wave pool was excellent and fun for all ages! The only thing we didn't try was the indoor hot tub because the water looked brown and dirty and that's the only reason for the 4 star. We had several concerns about booking the Cape Codder for our extended family, but there are few resorts within a reasonable driving distance for an off-season, weekend family getaway. The new corporation is slowly renovating the dated resort. Luckily, they began with the wave pool. It was being repaired when family members stayed and under construction when we toured the hotel. The kids had a great time in the wave pool and water park. The indoor hot tub was closed. Although the weather was cold, the adults used the outdoor hot tub while the kids swam in the outdoor heated pool. Everyone had fun in the arcade although it was hot and stuffy. We could not have four adjoining rooms as requested, but they were convenient, especially because the sliders opened to the parking lot for easy access to our vehicles. The Hearth and Kettle restaurant was also convenient. The hallway to the fitness room was dismal. There was a trolley with sheetrock or plaster there the whole weekend without an "under construction or renovation" sign. The water in the shower was freezing. Your kids will have tons of fun if you can deal with a hotel that needs renovation and modernization. read more

We had the pool view. It was nice at night with the waterfall and lights if you could look past the overgrown weeds in front of the slider and the trash covered ground. The need for updating is present however the extreme health risks should be the first to receive immediate attention. The dehumidifier runs 24/7 and needs constant emptying due to excessive moisture. Visible black mold can be seen spreading all over the air conditioner unit as well as crawling up the peeling wallpaper in the bathroom. If the musty smell doesn't stop you the ceiling tile that's about to fall might stop you right in place. Your lungs will thank you for choosing another place to stay until this "resort" is taken care of properly. read more

We got here a bit early. Could not check in or use the facilities(water park). So we hung out a bit. Went to the hearth and kettle. Would not recommend. Slow service, decent food but hotel expensive as you would expect. To bad. Anyway as we finished up I went to check in. The women told me I need the credit card and ID of the person that made the reservation. Need the wives info, she's also still finishing lunch. I grab her ID and card she used to make the reservation. Go back to the counter. With what they asked for- they won't check me in- they need my wife to be present. This is my second time staying here with family. The kids enjoy it, but the novelty wore off quickly. I was unhappy to see the room service dishes from the last guest in front of my room when I walked in. When I left my room for dinner the ceiling in the hallway dripped onto me. As a child growing up in the area, I always remember how fancy others said the Cape Codder Resort was. It was a jewel on the Cape. Now it seems to be a different story. While they were just recently bought out by another company, I have not seen any indication that things will be improving here. Wow so many complainers reviewing this place. I can't tell if you people actually had a terrible stay, or you just enjoy complaining & leaving terrible reviews. When going here you must keep in mind this place is great for the KIDS! Don't think solely of yourself when going here. Place was super SAFE, CLEAN and FUN. The customer service was very pleasant and accommodating. The lifeguards were awesome and made sure everyone was SAFE at all times. You can truly relax and enjoy yourself while the KIDS have a ball. Our room was very nice, clean and even had a sauna in the bathroom. I got lost in hallway and one of the workers was so kind to walk me on the complete other side of the resort. It's such a shame people leave bad reviews on awesome places like this , then people see bad reviews and don't go.... Business loses potential customers and next thing you know they end up closing SMH. Where will the kids go if everything closes because of these joy-sucking adults?! We are post pandemic! Keep this in mind wherever you go! Place was awesome I can't wait to go back! Cape Codder Resort and Waterpark is really fun, but the rooms definitely need to be renovated. Not worth the price, but it sure is convenient for both being in the same complex. The outdoor saltwater pool was beautiful and we really enjoyed it. On the first night we noticed the AC unit was old and leaking as the carpet underneath was wet! You have to pay $20 extra yo have a microwave in the room and they give you a really old one with poor power. The tub did not drain properly as you shower until you stop running water! Awful! On the second night the toilet started clogging and we had to call the front desk to have it plunged! Strike two!!! That same night there was a strange smell by the mini fridge and it turned out that it had broken down and by the morning there was wet carpet under it too!!! We finally asked to be moved and got a room that was a bit better but still not great. The beds are hard and uncomfortable with old furniture and small tv. The Wi-Fi is a joke! We had dinner on the first night at the Hearth n' Kettle - disappointed by lack of flavor and high prices. They also do not let you charge the food to your room (and they run the waterpark cafe) or use towards breakfast the $10 voucher you get. The waterpark constantly ran out of clean towels and the lockers did not work. They close the wave pool area at odd times, probably to the lack of lifeguards (which are young college kids). If you're a guest of the hotel, you get waterpark access included in the stay but have to pick up bracelets every day. They have an arcade too- it's fun but no attendant so if anything happens you're screwed. And the major prizes are locked in a gated area only available Friday to Sunday. Staying at The Cape Codder for a family reunion with 6 rooms booked. Although it was extremely busy at check-in on Father's Day, Sophia at the front desk worked to get everything sorted out for my extended family. Much appreciated! We are here a bit pre-season, and our favorite restaurant "The Deck" is not yet open, and pool has shorter hours, but we expected such things. We've had a great week so far. Rooms are clean with some nice facelifts. I should add thanks to Mary Kay, the night manager, for helping us to book everyone together and make a few alterations when some extra family members were able to join us. on Friday January 17th, we booked a room for two nights in February through a third party and then realized that it did not include access to the waterpark. So, we called the hotel directly and was told by an employee that they had a "Winter Special" going on for that week. It included full access to the waterpark and a $50 reward that could be used anywhere within the hotel. The cost for the two nights was $520. On Saturday, we said we would book an additional room for family. The rate was now $680, a huge climb within 24 hours. Anyway, we called them again directly and asked for an additional room to the one we had booked the day before. They said "There is no winter special, and the room we had booked the day before did not include waterpark access. So, their staff clearly aren't trained. They were rude, and extremely unaccommodating. We visit the cape at least 6 times a year. I will never stay at MARGARITAVILLE, THEY ARE COMPLETE SCAMMERS. read more

The room itself was okay. Lots of channels on the Tv. Bed was comfy. But it was LOUD! Lots of noise in the hallway. The heat was so noisy, it sounded like you were in a helicopter. The pool was not Covid compliant. Tons of people, very crowded. The hallway smelled like wet moldy carpet. The heated outdoor pool was really nice, but there were no towels there. I had to ask the lifeguard TWICE for towels, and she just said "oh they will bring them..". Well they never did, so we had to call the front desk from our cell phones to ask them to being towels to the outdoor pool, which they did, right away. I stayed at cape codder Saturday. We booked the suite and paid a lot extra because it said it came with a hot tub in the room and fire place and spiral staircase! We excited to celebrate our anniversary. Only to get there and find out our room had none of that. And all we got was they are under renovation so it wasn't available. Let me start off with saying. I have been coming to the Cape Codder for years now. Around the same time of year. I'm not sure if there are new owners or what but this place is a disaster now. When I first arrived I did see the lack of holiday decor which was disappointing but hey not the end of the world. The moment we went into our room we noticed the old, worn furniture. The mattress was peeping through the small sheets and the furniture had water damage. Just worn down completely. We originally requested a balcony room but that was not visible so we asked to be moved to a more suitable room and one with the requested balcony. When we were moved, again no balcony and the room smelled HORRIBLE. The stench was of mildew, feet and just felt so humid. Granted we are in a water "resort" but really??? Unacceptable. But we tried to just push through because we were there for a child's birthday and we drove 2 hours. Moving on, we went to the water park they we were all so excited for. We were searching for a locker to place our things but those did not work. Addition to the lockers, the lazy river was closed for a few hours (they told us it would be closed period) then they would switch back and forth closing the water slides for the lazy river and so forth. I'm sure it was because a lack of staff but really???? Ridiculous. The following morning not only was the lazy river closed but the children's area was as well!! Which only left the "wave" pool. Such a waste of money. And honestly feel like it's false advertisement. They should have absolutely said something before check in and at least give the guest the option because multiple guests complained to eachother about it and seeing the rest of the reviews on Yelp they have been too for months. I feels like a scam. Why would someone come to a water resort and the park is less than half in service. I will never return there again and I would NOT recommend ever coming there. read more

This is an email I wrote to the hotel and have not had a reply back: I am writing to file a formal complaint about my recent stay at the Cape Codder. Unfortunately, my experience was not up to the standards I expected, and I would like to bring a few issues to your attention, especially the misleading information on your website. Firstly, upon arrival, I was disappointed to hear that the Outside Pool was out of service. When I booked the tickets several weeks ago, this was not on the website. When I went to the website to check, I did see it listed, however, I was not notified after I made my reservations. Secondly, during check in I was informed that the wrist bands were good from 1pm-1pm the next day- again no where on the website was this stated. I was under the impression we would get the full day- this is very confusing as check in is at 4:00pm, yet you "give" bracelets at 1:00pm. I also asked about late checkout- which was also not available on the website- and was told to call in the morning to check availability. In addition, we were given a room that was NOT what the online pictures look like- obviously the online pictures are what is to come during renovations, not current. We also had no working hotel phone. There was no dial tone. So I had to use my cell phone to call the front office and ask questions. The water park is a whole different set of issues. The cafe and the 2 large water slides were closed the entire first day we were there. In addition, NO WHERE on your website does it say 48 inches for the water slides. My son is 47.5inches and was able to go down the slide at the wave pool area several times before someone asked to measure him and he was less than half an inch short and was told he could not go back on the slides (he is able to go on every ride at storyland that is 48 inches). Also to note there were 2 other families in the whole park- I could see if it was busy and to chaotic, but this wasn't the case. The second day we came we arrived at 10 and the "Kiddie Area" was closed. Now my kids cannot go on the slides OR the kiddie area. It was eventually opened around 11. We then went to the wave pool area- 10 minutes of playing we had to leave for an hour as it was shut down for a sanitary issue. We have passes until 1:00 and now we can't use the wave pool or the slides. We then went to go to the "24/7" Arcade. It was open but the place to trade in tickets was closed until Friday at 3:00. This is unacceptable. NO WHERE on your website is any of this information listed. Overall, I was very disappointed with my stay at your hotel and do not feel that I received the level of service that I paid for. I would appreciate it if you could take appropriate action to address these issues and ensure that future guests do not have the same negative experience. The only positive experience I had is most of the staff I spoke to were very nice and helpful and I understand most of these issues are beyond their control. This was bad real bad. The room and hallway was disgusting. The manager didn't care. The room Next to us was filled with 12 people smoking pot all night and partying till 4am. I had my son with me who was so excited to go for weeks the front desk couldn't even go and tell the people to quiet down at 3am when I called. Also they have been holding onto my $50 room deposit now for two weeks. I will not go here again even if you pay me. My son three days after going came down with a huge rash and I brought him to the doctors and I guess he got a bacterial infection and was on antibiotics for a week. Never again wish I could get my $300 + back. :( read more

This place could be solid 5 star place, but... It is 4 stars ONLY on discounted days pricing! For regular pricing days it is MAX 2-3 stars hotel/resort. We come here every year on Christmas. And here are some things we like and we do not like. Good here: 1. Prices are reasonable day before XMass and on XMass day. It was $160 per night for a room with 2 queen beds 2. Water park. They have quite ice water park. 3. Nice X-Mass decorations Not so good. 1. We checked in with 2 families (2 rooms) with my in-laws. We asked for an adjacent rooms so kids could go to see each other. The parking lot is EMPTY. No cars. Almost no guests on XMass day. Nevertheless we were told no adjacent rooms available! 2. No microwave in the room. They have one in the main lobby area only!!! Or...... go the the restaurant Hearth'n Kettle they have in the lobby area. 3. Outside heated pool. This one is quite cool feature if you can get there! You need to harass aqua park employees (who will pretend they do not understand English or will tell you outside pool is closed) to come and to open the pool for you. Insist, otherwise everyone from the lady in the lobby (reception desk) to aqua park folks will do everything not to open the pool for you. read more

We usually go to Great Wolf Lodge for the holidays but decided to mix it up. We will never be coming back here. Wow what a disappointment. The whole reason we came was to let our 7 and 3 year old have fun at the water park. Well poor management, lack of staffing and planning on the part of the hotel ruined that. The day we arrived the supervisor quit and multiple people called out so the water park was only open in sections. They would close either the wave pool and slides or the lazy river. The crazy height requirement wouldn't allow for my 7 year old to use the slides so we were really limited. She was able to go on at other real water parks. The second day they opened an hour late and still had limited availability and the front desk staff acted like we should be grateful that they were going to be able to open. I think they forgot we were paying to stat and for the water park.. The rooms were dated, we lost hot water in the shower a few times, the staff seemed depressed and they did not seem to care that they were ruining multiple families vacations. They had time to promote themselves on social media and fully staffed the arcade but couldn't take care of the families that were staying at the hotel to bring their kids to the water park. I travel for work and spent over 100 nights in hotels last year and this was by far my worst experience. If considering staying I would look at better options. We will never come back. read more

I am VERY Upset at my stay at Cape Codder Resort!! I checked in on 03/10/24 with my family and they gave us room 122. When I get to the room I find a BED BUG on one of the pillows in the bed!!! I immediately started freaking out and called the front desk. The guy told me he was going to send someone to "confirm" if it was a bed bug. SN: we were in the pool before we got to the room!! When the guy gets to the room He confirms it was indeed a bed bug them goes to the front desk to tell them it was a FUCKING LADY BUG. I felt like my intelligence was insulted. Then the front desk guy tells me they're going to change the damn sheets and that I should be all set. I refused to stay in that room and be treated like I'm dumb. At this point I was ready to go back home. He said he could give me a "Upgrade" amd better room. I was never offered a discount or refund when I wanted to leave. Don't get me wrong the new room was fine but that doesn't take away the trauma of not knowing if it's also infested with bed bugs. When I get to the new room I realized that I left my beach pants in the bed bug infested room. I tried calling lost and found and no answer!! Today 03/12/24 I checked out and asked for lost and found at the front desk. I gave her all the info needed and she tried checking but didn't find anything. I know it was there because I put it in the little closet for it to dry. So that leaves me to think the housekeeper stole it or someone did!!! She told me to go check the room to see if is still there. I did and it wasn't there. All they offered me was to fill up a paper in case they find it. They cleaned the room like nothing happened and my pants weren't there. I paid $400 for 2 days!! Best believe I'm not going back EVER. Oh not to mention that half of the hotel is under construction and a little dirty than usual. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. The only reason I chose to still stay was because it was my gift to my son for his Birthday!! read more

Good place for kids and very fun. Rooms are a bit dated and need some work but we will definitely return. The wallpaper was peeling off and there was an odd stain on the carpet. The showers water was perfect. The beds were a little uncomfortable, but they did the job. Arcade and pool was great, but a lot of chemicals in the pool and lots of coughing because of that. Can't wait to see this place after the renovations are complete. read more

I checked in today and checked out. It was disgusting and dirty. We spent over 600 dollars for 2 nights. There were bags of trash in the hallway, dirty tissues in the elevator. Water stains all over the lobby ceiling. Our room was gross, outdated and smelled. They left an open box of soap for us. No one was social distancing at the outdoor pool. When we spoke to the front desk, they never apologized or asked us specifically what the issue was. The customer service at the desk was awful. She should have been horrified we were leaving. They didn't care. That's the worst part. She pretty much said take it up with Expedia. read more
