My sister-in-law was discharged from Waterbury Hospital to Prospect post surgery after a week long stay. I sent her an arrangement and chocolates when she came home on February 18, 2023, and I was sending fom out of town in Boston. Margot's did a beautiful job, and my sister-in-law absolutely loved the arrangement. The hydrangeas were so fresh and both my brother and sister-in-law raved about the arrangement and the beautiful fresh flowers, at a time of year when it is not easy to get hydrangeas. We got Married at the Aria in Prospect in November 2024 and we had such a wonderful and helpful experience working with Corey. My family owned a Florist for years before I was born, so flowers are very important to me and my family. When looking for a florist for our wedding, we wanted someone who would care and put their love and heart into our special day, while also working with a budget we felt comfortable with. Corey went above and beyond to work with me and our budget, answered every call and random text about sizes and colors and pricing for months. Not only were the flowers gorgeous but the entire experience of working with Margot's Flower's and Gifts was easy and fun, and Corey was so incredibly kind and warm. I called ahead to pre order a large custom bouquet for a very special Mother's day and scheduled to pick it up at 9 am in 2 weeks. First I had to wait 15 minutes because they did not open on time at 9 am when I had scheduled but then they claimed they completely lost record of my call/ order which I thought was odd because the woman I was dealing with was the same woman I spoke to on the phone 2 weeks prior, I am 99% sure. So they threw together a quick, random bouquet that wasn't particularly nicer than anything else you'd get at the grocery store and it also wasn't at all what I custom order. I was desperate so I dramatically overpaid for a lack luster bouquet but I will NEVER go again, which is a bummer because I really wanted to support a local small business read more

Margot's flowers provided arrangements for my wedding ceremony & reception. We could not have been HAPPIER with the result! Cory was so wonderful to work with. She had lots of ideas, offered to meet with us several times, and we really trusted her with everything! The arrangements for church, all the bouquets, cake topper, corsages & boutonnieres & centerpieces were beautiful, and everything was delivered right on time. Very disappointed with them. Ordered flowers for Mother's Day and they guaranteed delivery between a 4 hour time frame. They weren't able to make it. Not sure why they would continue to take orders if they can't keep up with the volume. What they could've done, at a minimum, is called and asked if I'd be willing to pick them up in the event they can't make it. But they didn't. Horrible customer experience. Just to add some perspective, the flowers were north of $150. Also, it appears that new owners took over but I'm not entirely positive. read more

We have used this shop a few times during our time here in CT. Got to say it, they are the total exception to the rule we have observed here in CT. The staff are so helpful, so patient and so detailed in getting what you want right. It really is a breathe of fresh air to be served by a business that actually cares about their customers and the quality of their products. We shall never go anywhere else now for all of our flower needs. My daughter sent flowers from Fairfield Connecticut to my home in Waterbury Ct. This was obviously subcontracted out. First issue was that it was reading delivered when it hadn't been. It was still on the van. Second this is not what she paid for. The snap dragons are wilted and dead. One stargazer lilly. 6 peach roses with some cheap filler flowers. I spoke to my sister who lives in Prospect. She said she's heard it's gone downhill since it's been sold. Apparently it has. What a crappy bouquet for Mother's day. Thanks for not going the extra mile. I will never use it or recommend this business. read more

Unfortunately, very disappointed with the service from Margot's flowers. I ordered a $45 dollar bouquet for my mother on Mother's day (plus delivery and taxes, the flowers came to over $60). The disappointment came when my mother sent me photos of the flowers she received. It was the worst bouquet of flowers I've ever seen and certainly not worth $45. It was largely made up of foliage and there was one 'pricey' flower - a single stem rose. The rest was carnations and daisies. Carnations and daisies are not exactly 'beautiful' flowers to receive. In fact, carnations remind my mother of a funeral. Especially, when on the phone I requested reds as that is my mother's favorite color. There was very little red or vibrancy in the bouquet because, as I said, it was mainly green foliage. I called Margot herself to try to remedy the situation. Her ONLY solution was that she would call my mother herself, go to her house, take the flowers back from her and cancel the order. When I suggested perhaps that simply sending some additional flowers that would make the bouquet better, she would not entertain that solution. In fact, she said 'she didn't have time for that.' However, she was perfectly willing to send someone to the house in the first place to retrieve said flowers. It would take the same amount of effort and time to 'deliver' additional flowers and make a loyal customer out of me. Instead, she just lost one. My mother in law brought in10 mason jars with pink ribbons on them to have baby's breath added to them for her daughter baby shower. She dropped the jars off the day before to have them added and was told she would be told the price and right before she picked them up she was told it was cost ... ready ... $200!!! To add the smallest amount of baby's breath to 10 already made jars. She had no choice but to pay the price because we needed them for the next day and the owner wasn't in to speak with. So a week later her and I drove 1 minute up the road to speak with the owner because we just thought the price was outrageous. We went in and asked for the owner and explained the situation and she was very defensive and told us ... ready , " next time do it yourself ". We tried to explain here we are trying to support a local business and she could care less how upset we were and how we did think the price was fair. She followed us out yelling at us as if we did something wrong. This lady is a complete thief! I wouldn't recommend this place! We live a minute up the road and I would use a florist at a grocery store over them! read more

My boyfriend wanted to surprise me with flowers. He called around and said the woman he spoke to here was the kindest and most considerate person he spoke to. He previously had issue with another florist in Prospect. I can personally say, these were the most beautiful flowers I've ever recieved. I can tell that this company takes pride in their work. I would not recommend this florist to anyone. I live in Prospect and wanted to support a local business because my favorite local florist was closed for vacation. I ordered babies breathe for centerpieces for my daughters baby shower. I provided 10 mason jars with a ribbon around them and colored stones at the bottom. Margot's only had to put the babies breathe in the jars. I was charged $20.00 a piece which I feel was outrageous. I paid the price because, lesson learned, I didn't get a quote ahead of time and didn't have time to go anywhere else. I went back a week later to voice my disappointment to the owner and to try and understand why the price was so high. I was told it was premium quality babies breathe and that I can "do it myself next time." What kind of business owner tells a customer to "do it yourself next time". I tried to make the owner understand my disappointment with the hope I would be refunded or compensated for my disappointment. She wouldn't budge, and frankly did not seem to care. I even told her that I could not and would not ever recommend Margot's to anyone. I feel I was totally taken advantage of!!! Do not support this business. read more

The first time I called Margot's I ordered flowers for 2 members of my husband's office staff whose birthdays were one day apart. On the day of the 1st birthday(and too late to rectify the situation) I learned that a newer office staff member also had a birthday that day and that the staff member whose birthday was the following day would not be in until after the weekend. I called Margot's the next a.m to ask if the 2nd flowers had been delivered yet. I was told they were on the truck. I asked if the driver could insert a new card with the name of the employee whose birthday I had missed. I later learned that the driver stopped en route at another florist shop to pick up a new card to insert with the arrangement so he would not have to cross out a name. And on top of that, all 3 ladies RAVED about how lovely their arrangements were. They are now my #1 florist in the Waterbury area! read more
