This store is within 5 or so miles from the BNA Rental Car Center and driving the backroads (Surface Streets) was so stress free and easy when one is not used to all the different highways they have in Nashville. I did stop by this store twice to get gas as well as some snacks on the first trip. This store was pretty well stocked but messy. I did get to try/use their new merchandise scanner verification system at the exit. The West Coast Stores I frequent have not had this new system installed yet. This system is designed to verify you have made all your Scan & Go purchases correctly and I'm surmising the self-checkouts and to some extent the regular check stands also. One basically walks under an inverted U shaped device with cameras mounted on all three sides. Just walk through at a normal pace and exit the store. There is still someone manning the exit for issues in case. Easy and painless. I can't wait until it reaches my stores!

While it may not be a huge spot, it is filled to the brim with goods of all varieties and is certainly still a store that I can and have easily been entertained at for a while. We popped in looking for some furniture in the form of a dining table set and we ended up leaving with a candle, some outdoor lights and a cooler...none of which we were after or truly in need of. Back to the table...they had a table we loved, but they had it due to some damage on it and unfortunately the scratch was a little too deep to fix so we sadly passed. Most of the items are new in package, but they do sell second life items that feature some variety of damage. Nothing glaring, but enough to be noticeable on most of these items. Overall, The Yard Sale Store was a cool spot to spend some time on a weekend afternoon. While we do not find ourselves in Mt. Juliet too often, when we do...this place with be on the radar!

I collect vintage Christmas ornaments (old school satin pushpin style), and there is an amazing vendor at the flea who stocks them in spades! I almost don't want to share that as I want to keep that secret to myself so I can get my favorites every time. She is so kind and even let me dig through her back stock for ones not on display yet. I ordered prepared taco meat, Mexican rice, and salsa Verde for a nacho bar that I am preparing this week. The taco meat is very practical. It is in a 5 pound bag that only needs to be placed in boiling water to heat up and serve. The taco meat can be purchased in beef or chicken. Today there was a little hiccup at checkout. One of my items had changed in price from the date of order. Thus, my amount of my school prepaid check was not enough to cover the bill. It is noted on their website that price is subject to change. But the management was kind enough to do a price override to make my transactions smooth.

My new glasses were ready within a week, which was impressive. The only area that could be improved is the check-in process; using the QR code and waiting for a text notification can be unclear. It would be much more convenient if there were a screen displaying the queue of customers being served.
