This pizza was actually really good, if you're a pineapple on pizza hater you're free to try something else! But I think the combination of the 3 flavors worked really well together and the pineapple was key in blending the cheese with the spice. The food is prepared fresh so it does take a while, I would recommend ordering ahead! Also more of a takeout place but it's open later than most places in the area! Omg this place is AMAZING !! First thing it's HALAL, second online order and pick up is EASY and third the food tastes DELICIOUS. My first visit and I ordered the mama supreme pizza, pita spicy chicken sandwich, Bihari kabob sandwich, and bun kabob burger. The Bihari kabob and pita spicy were my favorite, literally bursting in flavors!!! The pizza was really good as well. Heard the wings are terrific, will be back to try them next. We needed a quick bite to eat and were planning to go to Falafill, but it turns out Falafill moved inside the Woodfield Mall from its old location. My wife didn't want to spend time wandering around the mall, so then we tried Phoday. Well, Phoday was busy and had a wait, so we went to plan C-- Mama Maria. I had heard of Mama Maria since I try to keep track of halal restaurants. It's small inside; only three tables. Other than that it feels like a normal, greasy fast food joint. We ordered a chicken zinger burger and a 3-piece chicken tender. The zinger burger was not what I consider a zinger burger. It was large, which is nice, but it mostly had standard burger toppings and some orange sauce. To me, a zinger burger should have some sweet coleslaw and some spicy sauce. This was nothing like Mr Broast or Chi Tea. Not a bad sandwich, but can't say I was impressed. The tenders we thick and juicy, and cooked well. However, the breading didn't have much flavor. I guess you need to have a sauce with it. We had requested tzatziki sauce, but didn't receive any, so made due with ketchup. Not a bad place to grab a cheap bite, but this would not be one of my top choices in Schaumburg. Would recommend Vasco's, La Charanga, or Phoday instead...unless you really want something like pizza or wings. read more

My husband and I wanted pizza to watch during a Bears game and were looking through our options we could order through Yelp. We came across Mama Maria Pizza and looking over their menu, everything looked normal until you see Bihari Kebab Sandwich out of no where. Their menu is half pizza-store classics and then Indian-American inspired food. We ordered take out via Yelp and we ordered two items. We ordered the Mama Supreme #3, all meat supreme large (~$13). It had crisped up pepperoni, little rounds of sausage and the spicy, tandoori chicken pieces. I was surprised with the flavor profile of the chicken but it worked with the pizza. Save your money. OMG what a dreadful expensive mess this ordering adventure was. FIRST and LAST. The battered onion rings were what I was looking forward to. They came packaged in a plastic container - like you get a cold dessert "to go" in - and besides being over fried in nasty, old smelling oil, they were a solid mushy mess. I almost gagged. (See photo) The gyros sandwich was edible, however the meat wasn't sliced in thin strips but instead in fat chucks, like stew meat. I've been eating gyros since the 1970s and never seen meat (and not that much of it) sliced in chunks. Going to Brandy's next time. They charge more but food is dynamite and gyros are to die for. After a bit of discussion we called back to also order a small cheese and anchovy pizza. They did not have anchovy and as I was hanging up I heard them ask 'what is an anchovy?' I usually visit the Des Plaines location in person but I tried this location via door dash and I'm pretty upset and disappointed on the accuracy of the order and the customer service I received when calling about the incorrect parts of my order that I was charged for. I got a 20 piece order of wings and on doordash was able to pick a sauce and 2 more for an additional charge which I paid. I ordered a thin crust pizza as well and wanted ranch and crushed red pepper. I got 20 wings of one sauce, no ranch no crushed red pepper and a pan pizza instead of thin crust. When I called to ask why all the wings were the same I was told they only do one sauce and it's a problem with door dash they are aware of and they HUNG UP on me; so they know they charge you more... they don't care... and they don't fix the issue. Terrible horrible customer service. I am paying for this food it's not free, and if you make a mistake you should at least be willing to make it right and not hang up on people who point this out. For a zabiha halal place, this spot is actually pretty good! Only reason I am giving it 4 stars is because they cheap out on the meat on the pizza and sandwiches. My go to items are spicy gyros pizza, chicken wings (hot and/or mango habanero), chicken nuggets, or a spicy gyros sandwich. All of these items are top notch delicious! OMG folks-- 5 star pizza here? Sorry, not by a long shot. I ordered a 4 topping veggie pizza that seemed crazy-cheap (only $10). They didn't indicate the size of their smallest pizza (a large), so I figured it was probably around a 10 or 12" for that price. The pizza I picked up was enormous-- probably a 16" or so. How on earth could it only be $10? Well, I soon found out after taking the first bite! Hardly any tomato sauce, and dull crust, and mostly canned toppings rather than fresh (yes, those limpy, slimey canned mushrooms rather than fresh, etc). The pizza was extremely bland and tasteless. So I ordered a gyros hamburger combo and I came home to open my fast with it and when I went to eat the food, two things occurred. One, there was a piece of hair in my first bite and second, I asked for it to be spicy and they didn't add any spice at all and the gyros was under cooked. I called them because usually I let things go but this is the second time they did something wrong and the first time I ordered, they gave me a completely different order and unfortunately I noticed it when I got home. So, I call and talk to the manager and instead of apologizing, he yells at me and says that I need to be understanding that he was fasting too and I shouldn't complain about the order. So, I said politely that the spicy part I can let go but you're saying let the hair go too. So, he says he gets calls daily about people complaining about hair in their food so he said send him proof. I didn't feel comfortable sending a photo of it with my phone so he basically made me feel like a liar and said many people call about it. Then umm why doesn't it ring a bell to you that if so many are complaining then maybe there's something wrong on your end? He thinks we are all lying or something. All of us are fasting, that's great, but that doesn't give you a reason to be rude when all I did is make you aware that there's an issue with your food. I didn't yell or ask for anything in return. You talk about fasting and say I shouldn't complain but don't realize this month is to treat people with kindness too. I tolerate everything. I didn't even complain about the wrong order last time but I hate when there's hair my food. Anyways, eventually I got upset because he was soooo rude and then he said he doesn't care if I write a review and hung up the phone on me while I was talking. So, stay away from this place. It was dead anyways, food's not that great, I've had better. Oh and he asked for the pic so here it is. GROSS! My experience with this place is complicated in a sense that 2 years ago until 2020, this place was excellent to dine at for my favorites over there which is an Extra Large Mama Special #1 replacing Pineapples for Jalapenos, and their Zinger Burger. Sadly, due to new staff members and the original members long gone, it'll be a struggle to recreate the atmosphere and most importantly the food they once served as excellent. Stopped in on a whim, seeing the gyro meal deal in the window. The whole menu looked great, the variety really impressed me! The service was awesome, everyone was super friendly. Had the best gyro i've ever had here, and i've had a lot of gyros. Some of the best french fries ive ever had as well. Perfectly crisp on the outside and still ooey potatoey on the inside.
