What an excellent place for a Chapli burger, Zinger burger (chicken) or any of their other specialties. Been her many times and the food has always been delicious and very fresh. The Zinger burger has a quite a bit of spice to it that separates it from standard fare, but you can get it mild. The Chapli has a mild spice but u ique as well. Both come slathered in their home made char mayo sauce or Zinger sauce, both excellent. Order the Marsala fries that have a spicy bite to them as well and dip in the extra sauces. Always great food and made very fresh. They have kabobs ss well and we want to try them, but we just can't get past the excellent burgers/sandwiches. Give this place a try. I decided to pick up a couple entrees from here on my way to my uncle's house. I don't normally seek out Indian/Pakistani food when I eat out, but my uncle only likes this type of food. Char Kabobs is tucked away in a strip mall. There's plenty of parking. The interior is pretty small, so probably not ideal for large groups; they had a few booths and tables. I ordered the beef chapli kabob entree and chicken tikka entree. Both dishes were good. I got the beef chapli with rice; the rice was okay, and the beef had plenty of flavor. I enjoyed the chutney they served with it. The chicken tikka was nice and juicy, and had plenty of flavor. Pricing was reasonable and service was friendly. read more

Never thought a kabob shop in a nondescript strip mall would become one of my favorite restaurants! Started coming here two months ago and now I crave it often lol. The chicken seekh kabobs are massive and packed with flavor. It is way better than the ones you find in the freezer section of a grocery store. The chicken boti is spicy and juicy. I like how both dishes come with a side salad. The chicken biryani (not pictured) is delicious and spicy. The Paranthas are massive and easy for multiple people to share! PHENOMENAL!!! PHENOMENAL!!! Truly PHENOMENAL!!! My mother is Punjabi Pathan, so she is VERY particular about certain delicacies such as Chapli Kabab, and since it is not offered on many menus we only ever make it at home. It was the Chapli Kabab being offered on the menu that made us come here, and needless to say I was SUPER SKEPTICAL. Boy oh boy was I made into a believer. Both the hubs and I ordered the Char Chapli Kabab Burger - so that's a Chapli Kabab made of lamb meat. You can order the same kind of kabob in other protein offerings such as chicken or beef. My mother ordered a Beef Bihari Kabab entree, along with a salt lassi and a paratha. And lastly, my husband ordered the Lamb Bihari Kabab entree with a paratha, mostly to try, and take the rest home for lunch tomorrow. The Char Chapli Burger was ABSOLUTE perfection! The bun was toasted well, and there was a bright green sauce that tasted like a twist between mustard and Hari Chutney (mint cilantro chutney). But it was the actual Kabab patty that was PURE DELICIOUSNESS! Crispy on the corners, but not overdone in the middle, moist and juicy and charred to perfection - I was on seventh heaven with each and every bite. Mom's beef Bihari was also seasoned perfectly, she stated that she assumed it would be overly spicy as that's what she has encountered all other places - but that this Bihari kabab was seasoned without burning the mouth. Soft and melt in your mouth pieces of meat with an absolutely scrumptious paratha, that's how you do Bihari Kabab. My husband's lamb Bihari was the same. The salt lassi was also really good. They also offer Chelow Kababs, which (like the Chapli) are another delicacy of Northern Pakistan and/or Afghan food. The food 5 stars The value 5 stars I would never dine in here, they aren't staffed for it, and while they do have chairs, I don't think they particularly want it. View this is a pick up only place. That said, the food is amazing and very reasonably priced relative to the portion size. Everything is amazingly fresh, they don't reheat stuff or keep stuff from older time periods. It's absolutely delicious and I appreciate that I don't feel like they take quality short cuts which I run into at a lot of similar types of places. My favorite dish is the chicken tika (which is actually spicey leg quarters instead of skewed chicken how I normally see it), but just awesome. read more

This is great place to come for very good fresh made to order food. We went at lunch time and ordered the lunch special for $6.99 and were totally satisfied. Very impressive and unique offering. Boti chicken kabob, rice, 1 shami, salad, and chutney. Everything came out hot and fresh. Chicken was excellent quality, taste and portion was perfect! The shami patty was well seasoned and very tasty. I felt like I had everything I wanted on that lunch plate! The chutney was very good and was delicious on the kabob. For this area, I felt this is a great place to go for anytime of day. You wait a little bit as they make everything fresh to your order which means it's going to be fantastic! The restaurant is small, but feels very family oriented. The service is not very good. It felt awkward talking to the waiter; he seems very shy. We ordered chicken nuggets for the kids and I would not recommend it. I couldn't tell if they were falafel. They were very dry and bland and not something the kids would eat. We also ordered the chicken tikka kabob, the lamb chapli kabob, the zinger burger, and a beef burger, and the Bihari kabob wrap. Not the place to come if you are hungry. Food took well over 30 minutes to come out. The food was not good, I'm very surprised about the ratings here. The food was incredibly dry, especially the chicken. The yellow rice was flavorless not sure why it was colored. The beef burger was typical and that was enjoyable. I would not recommend this place, unfortunately. I am always excited to try out new restaurants, but unfortunately this experience was quite a letdown. They are getting a 2.5 star rating because of poor customer service with decent food. The food is made fresh but they took about 40 minutes to bring out the first items and they were in small batches so everyone at our table of 9 started eating at practically different times. The biggest problem was that there was a hair in one of our burgers. When we told the manager he apologized once, replaced it with another burger (which was ready by the time everyone else was done eating and ready to go), and apologized once more afterwards. I think it's pretty standard to offer more than a simple apology, to at least mention to the customers that this has never happened before and that they will investigate and change how it did, and of course to offer a discount for the inconvenience. None of this was done and most people would give them a 1 star rating with this experience. Regarding the food itself, the traditional Desi food here was alright but the American food was mediocre. The Lamb Chapli Kabob Burger was too dry and heavily seasoned. The Hunter Beef Burger was dry as well but had a nice flavor. read more

We are major foodies and found this place, even though deserted in a strip mall that receives no traffic, to be impeccable. The food and the flavors were right on. Literally have no reason to go to Pakistan when the same tasting street food is right down the street from us. We usually order take out from here as it doesn't have a great atmosphere to dine in. But the food is absolutely delish! We absolutely love the kabobs! The flavors are simple yet so yummy. The restaurant is overall pretty clean. I love their wraps. Another favorite is the masala fries which is nothing out of the box but love the sauce and spices mixed in with the fries. Perfect blend. Loses a star only because of the wait time and slow and boring service. They don't have an employee which leaves the owner and what I believe to be his wife taking cake of kitchen, taking orders from dine in customer and on phone, also serving and cleaning up. Tried this for the third time today. It's a nice family run restaurant. We usually have to drive to the city ( Devon ) to get decent desi food. Not anymore. So glad this spot opened up near my house. They have some of the most flavorful meats I've ever had. We love the broast, zinger, chicken boti, tikka, HUNTER BEEF ( favorite) and even their nuggets are amazing ( home made chicken chunks NOT processed questionable meat) if you want a good bite made to order ( a bit of a wait call ahead if in a hurry) this is a great place. Everything is Halal so you don't have to worry about double checking. I came in a little after 5pm. The 'open' sign was on, but they apparently weren't actually that serious about it. There was only one person out front, sitting at a table very close to the counter. I thought he might work there, as he had no food or beverage, and was just bent over his phone. I hope, for their sake, he is not an employee, as he completely ignored me and was totally absorbed in his phone. There was nobody else in the public area of the restaurant. I stood there awkwardly for a little while as I listened to a stream of chatter coming from behind the door at the back of the counter. Finally, I concluded that nobody knew or cared there was a customer waiting (either of those is bad business, though) and left to get dinner somewhere else. Usually new businesses really need to work hard to get a steady customer base going, especially in food service. But I guess this restaurant is the exception, and doesn't really need customers very much. Nice work if you can get it! read more

The flavor, the experience and the moment you have with that burger it's amazing that is my 2nd favorite burger other than the zinger burger. Char Chapli Kabob burger is a burger only one of the best. The way they make the burgers is amazing. When I ordered my order it was as if it was a commercial burger.
