For starters, their buffet is replenished often during peak hours. Not sure what Michael M. was referring to back on 9/17/2022 because I saw trays being replaced, checked on, and occassionally stirred by staff members. Everything was hot... no flies feasting on the area like at other buffets. Service is a bit of a mixed bag unless you know the folks who work here like my family does. The ladies at the front don't know me, so I guess they didn't feel like greeting me when I walked in... no worries, I can find my party myself. Whether you buffet or not, chips and salsa are delivered to your table. I appreciate our waitress obliging when I wanted a to-go cup for my drink. The buffet itself consists of enchiladas, tacos, chile rellenos, gorditas, beans, rice, salads, salsas, pico de gallo, fruit, and much more. Some vegetarian options are available. There is live music on Fridays for lunch. Their place - while noticeable water damage exists - is decorated nicely. There is a full bar. Their chairs are cool... padded seats with cut-outs on the backing that spell out their restaurant name. There was also complimentary chips and salsa served - at breakfast! I've never seen that before. The salsa was not spicy AT ALL. The green sauce on my plate had a mild kick. Our waitress was nice, but she didn't understand my boss wanted cold chocolate milk when he said "chocolate milk." She came back with hot cocoa and we all busted up laughing when she walked off. He has never liked hot drinks. Did I mention he's my brother too? It's a decent sized place inside. No frills. Kind of dirty. Small parking lot. Busy street nearby. The cutoff at 7 pm is a bit early for dinner in my opinion, but that's when they close. Also, when I just wanted a few items to take home with me to add to add to my homemade taco dinner, a young female employee explained that they had to take the chile con queso off of their menu because "nobody liked it." Lol. I mean, I appreciate the honesty, but maybe just mark it off of the menu and be a little more professional next time. The salsa tasted homemade. The small bag of chips did not. My daughters did not like their birthday cake cookies. That was a bummer. Super small cafe, but colorful Mexican decor all throughout. Located on the south side of Albertsons Market in the plaza.
