Saw Mariachisss Tacos had a full restaurant now instead of just a food truck and my wife and I decided to try it. We expected another good taqueria, but their service and presentation were far above what we expected. It was Saturday afternoon around 5 and the place was already 2/3 full. service was quick and very efficient. The first thing I noticed was that they served our water in tall aluminum cups and they made the water colder and somehow better, and when I asked for more they brought me a glass stoppered carafe full for the table. Then they brought out very warm and very thin corn tortilla chips that had obviously just been fried there in the restaurant. They were some of the best I've ever had. They gave us 3 different salsas to try and they were all good, ranging from mild to very spicy. Then our food came and it was very hot and very beautiful! My wife had the Enchiladas Suizas and I had the Texas Plate with cheese enchiladas and carne guisada. The presentation and garnishes made it seem like we were at a gourmet restaurant, not just another taqueria! The food was excellent, well seasoned, and the portions generous, and our just-out-of-the-oven-hot food and plates were brought to us on rustic wooden cutting boards. Overall, it was an extremely positive experience! Loved the high quality service, extra touches of class, and the gourmet presentation given all at the price of your average taqueria. A must visit this food is flavorful and satisfying. I had the shrimp and they were perfectly cooked, bursting with smoky notes, and featured in multiple dishes. I played around adding the complimentary hot sauces, served in a flight of three, ranging from mild to spicy and have some serious heat without sacrificing flavor, so good. As other yelpers have mentioned, once your beverage glass is empty, it's unlikely to be refilled promptly, if at all, and getting the servers attention is difficult when the restaurant is full. This is a noticeable gap, but it's not out of negligence as these servers are hustling. Of course, adding another server to assist with drinks/ table clearing would help during peak dining hours. 5 star yes to a visit, come hungry, bring patience for drinks, and don't miss out on the shrimp. read more

Ok y'all. I'm torn on this one. The restaurant is super cute. Very nicely laid out. The decor is fantastic. The vibe is wonderful. It took a very long time to get our menudo. We were the only ones on here on a Tuesday. I get it. They also have to-go orders. Ok. The food is great. The menudo was very flavorful, but lacked sustenance. There was about a 70/30 ratio of juice v. Tripe and hominy. The enchiladas on the Texas plate were very unique and delicious. I've never had any like it. Just great flavor. The service was good. Their prices are very reasonable, and the portions are large, so you will not leave hungry. Everything is made to order so it is hot and fresh! I had been craving birria tacos and my heart and stomach were so happy with the deliciousness of theirs. People seemed nice over the phone but once I arrived to pick up my order it was a completely different story. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE. They told us 20-25mins for pick up. I go there and the foods not ready. No big deal. It was a good size order for my family of 4 so I wait patiently. We get to the 35mins mark and I ask if there's any update. The waitress is very rude and says they are busy and I have to just wait. "It'll be ready when it's ready." I've worked in the service industry before so I understand you could get busy and working late on the weekend is no fun for anyone. That being said it's never acceptable to take it out on paying customers. 42 min mark and I notice they bring some bags out to the counter. I don't want to overstep as I've already asked multiple times for my food. It could be someone else's after all. I wait 3-5mins extra and no one has talked to me. So I'm like, it has to be mine. I go and ask another waitress if that's my order. She rolls her eyes at me and proceeds to hand me my food half heartedly like I'm in the wrong. If the food will take longer then tell me that. I won a Mother's Day giveaway on Mariachisss instagram page where I won my meal and 2 margaritas. (Heck yea !!) I had never heard of this place to be honest . After checking out their page I knew right away I wanted to try the chicharrones with guacamole. So we get there and there's a line outside but due to the giveaway I had reserved for me my husband and 2 daughters. My husband and I shared the Parrillada , I got the chicharron and guacamole , my daughter the enchilada plate and my little one the quesadilla. I found this place advertising on social media and I have been looking for more authentic Mexican Restaurants around the city. I was excited to try them when I saw they were near my area. The food smells so good you can smell it before entering the restaurant so that was promising at first. I ordered the Birria Flautas and my friend ordered Birria Tacos. The tables are served Chips and Salsa while you wait. The chips are delicious and taste like they are made from homemade tortillas. They provide 3 different salsa options that are all extremely spicy... to the point that I was no longer able to enjoy after my mouth began to burn, because there was not a more mild salsa option. On to the food, they Birria flauta, although tender, did not have much flavor. The flauta in general was not very flavorful and did not pack the traditional Mexican flavors I was craving. My friend also did not finish her food either. The smell of the restaurant was promising but the taste was a let down. I've been wanting to try this place for some time. It's was a late afternoon and I stopped by. Delicious. I was great by a friendly waitress who let me know I could sit anywhere. I found a spot. Wasn't sure what to get but I had read the tortillas were made in-house. I decided on a beef fajita in flour and a pastor on corn. The beef fajita had a nice flavor but I thought the strips were cut too thick. It was hard to eat without destroying the tortillas. The tortilla was delicious the salsa was fantastic. The pastor taco on the corn was amazing. That is my taco. The tortilla was soft but fluffy. So good!! Servings are big. The salsa was delicious the orange creamy one is HOT and I like spicy but this one is HOT. The decor was nice. I was told they have live music on the weekends. Definitely try this place. It's disappointing to write this because the food at Mariachisss Tacos is consistently excellent. The flavors are always on point and the kitchen does a great job. Unfortunately, great food cannot compensate for poor management and unwelcoming service -- and after this experience, we will not be returning. From the start, the tone was dismissive. The hostess asked if we had a reservation. I said no and asked if one was required -- she said it wasn't. I told her we needed a table for 4 adults and 2 babies. She stated it would be an hour wait because the full tables were reservations that had just arrived. It didn't sound like an estimate; it sounded like a way to deter us. When I said "okay," she responded with, "You're going to wait?" -- which felt less like a question and more like surprise that we didn't just leave. We were instructed to wait outside. During that time, we saw multiple empty tables inside. As parties left, staff immediately placed "reserved" signs on those tables. Many of those tables remained empty during the 40 minutes we waited. If reservations are required in practice, that policy should be clearly stated. If they are not, then tables should not sit empty while paying customers -- including families with small children -- are kept outside. Behind us, there was another family with small children also struggling to be seated. They were pointing out the vacant tables as well, clearly confused by the situation. That makes it even more concerning that this may not be an isolated incident, but a pattern. When we were finally seated, we were told the only option was a bench table and that a high chair "wouldn't be an option." We had two babies (1 year old and 11 months old), so that was already a challenge. The waitress initially offered one high chair, then immediately exchanged looks with another staff member as if signaling not to. She returned with one high chair and one booster seat instead. The booster was sliding off the bench and completely unsafe. We had to hold it in place while trying to eat and feed our child. When I requested a second high chair, we were told they "couldn't put two high chairs at one table." Meanwhile, we watched staff remove reserved signs from smaller tables and push tables together to accommodate other parties that walked in. That inconsistency points to either poor organization or selective accommodation -- neither reflects well on management. This does not appear to be a staffing issue; it appears to be a leadership issue. When policies are unclear, inconsistently enforced, or used in a way that makes guests feel unwelcome, that responsibility falls on ownership. It's unfortunate because the food truly is a hit. But no meal is worth feeling like your family is an inconvenience. If being treated poorly is acceptable in exchange for good food, this may be the place for you. For us, it isn't.
