Everything was wonderful. Cute restaurant. Delicious food. Awesome service. No complaints.

Went to go vote and needed to get a bite to eat. I had the crispy tacos and they were delicious. The salsa had a great flavor as did the beans. The rice was bland. My husband liked led his chili relleno he thought it was the perfect amount of sauce on the pepper. The service was fine. Not overly friendly or attentive. The ambiance was cute. Bright and lights hanging from ceiling. I'm interested in going back for breakfast. They make their own tortillas!

For the last two years this page has been dedicated to sharing my delicious adventures in and around this magical city of San Antonio. My fav posts have been the surprise discoveries that turn into new favs. Well, this past weekend I stumbled on @losajosgrill off of Culebra Rd, and let me tell you, this is w/o a doubt my new go-to for Mexican breakfast on the North West Side of SA. Considered visiting @pancakejoes_sa Ingram Mall location. Instead went to @yelp, checked some options nearby and the name @losajosgrill stopped me () I checked recent reviews, drooled over a few photos and followed my gut over to Culebra. It's across the street from @lagaritagroceryandcafe which I highly recommend for lunch or for Caribbean groceries. @losajosgrill is a cute spot in an unassuming strip mall with about 15 tables inside featuring vibrant, classic Mexican decor. It's the kind of place where you're greeted when you walk-in, grab your own table and just sit & chill. We did just that and were greeted right away from a seasoned server. The kind I miss from every Diner back home; Sweet, speedy and accommodating. I knew instantly things were heading in a delicious direction. I chose none other than the El Ranchero plate w/ chorizo. This comes with Papa a La Mexican topped w/ 2 over easy eggs, cheese and beans. I hit this off with a little Salsa Verde and wow, wow, wow. The confluence of these flavors, between the running yolk, salsa verde, Ranchero sauce, and the chorizo oil, made for the most delectable concoction. I sopped up all the remarkable flavors with my fresh corn tortillas. I'm sure I was making sensual noises with each beautiful bite, and rightfully so. Really guys, it was that good. My wife had the Huevos Rancheros, similar to mine, but just not as bad ass. But for someone who loves a traditional Mexican plate, she was extremely happy and satisfied. And you know she loved her fresh flour tortillas She too was a fan of the salsa verde, so good. At $5.99, this is her new fav thing. Give them a follow & visit! They deserve it. You deserve it. Tell em Angel Food Dude sent ya!

    Sopaipillas were amazing.

Great food / tight atmosphere but great service- all food tasted fresh and temperature was perfect - salsa a bit soupy but good flavor

This is a small quaint family run place in San Antonio with fantastic cooking in an authentic and small location. The personalized service is a plus. We enjoyed the street tacos al pastor which were at a good price and quantity. See photos.

I was shocked by the amount of food I got for the price! I got the daily special lunch plate, it was Tuesday so it was a Denise Plate, 2 enchiladas, a puffy taco, 2 tortillas, rice, beans, and a large soft drink. The restaurant itself is very cozy and welcoming. The service was quick, and the wait staff were very attentive. Great lunch spot.

In the lobby for checkin today, I had an instant headache because the fragrance was so strong. At that point they informed us that there is some additional fee per day on top of the already pricey room, a fee that they never disclosed before today. We continued upstairs, and I could hardly breathe in the elevator it was so scented. When we got to the room it was also heavily fragranced. I tried to call the front desk, and the phone in the room didn't work reliably. Our call dropped several times. They offered box fans for us to air out the room. However, when we opened the windows, a blast of cigarette smoke wafted into the room because it is directly above their designated smoking area. We asked the front desk for help, and they said not to worry, hardly anyone smokes in that area. Meanwhile we watched several people out there smoking almost constantly. They offered no other accommodation or help. Not worth it. Very uncomfortable and upset because this will ruin our vacation. Edit: 1 to 3 stars. The manager eventually heard our concerns, responding to a secondary issue with cigar smoke in our room after leaving windows open - their recommendation- to air out the room. They found us a different accommodation and made it more than fair and comfortable. Why not 4 stars? Because it took the entire first day to be resolved.
