We've been hearing about Mariano's from two different groups of relatives, so we decided it was time to check it out for ourselves. The atmosphere is casual and family friendly. Service was very good. I generally don't eat lasagna unless it has ricotta in it. When I asked the waitress if they use ricotta, she said that they use a blend of mozzarella, feta, and cheddar. I was intrigued enough to try it. I have to say that it was so good I didn't even miss the ricotta. My husband, the lasagna expert, really liked it, too, and we both really liked the sauce. Great food and family friendly atmosphere! Hubby rates food 6.5/7 out of 10. Our kiddos enjoyed the pizza and my spaghetti and meatballs! They don't skip out in the cheese here which was awesome! The pizza was delicious, house bread sticks were a delight and my spaghetti was mostly gone by the end of our stay (would've been devoured if we had not been so full!)The main dining room was clean and pretty with floral decorations. Bathrooms were nice and clean, and a huge plus is there was a changing room n the women's bathroom!! Friendly service and excellent food.I ordered a 14" Mushroom and Pepperoni pizza and it was out of this world! Dough and sauces are made in house and it comes through in the taste. Buttery crust and the pizza sauce is fresh and flavorful. I sat at the bar where everyone from the staff to the patrons were very welcoming. My family is always looking for amazing food in the West Bank! We have both had their catered food for our job. We finally ordered Mariano's for dinner and I wish we had done so sooner! The one pizza I ordered while dining was delicious. Everything else was lacking flavor, more so cold bland out the jar sauce. Pasta was dry and to just toaster-oven heat warm burned cheese IS NOT adding crust and flavor. Seems that it is more popular for to-go. read more

Pretty much my favorite Italian restaurant in Louisiana. They have some great appetizers like their Meatball Marina and you can order many items as a Wrap, Calzone or Pizza. Need to add that all the ingredients they use are fresh and they bake in an old school traditional Italian oven in the back. read more

Okay so if you're used to NYC or NJ pizza, this isn't it. Get that out of the way first and foremost. Now that you've done that...this place is really good. On this trip we got the loaded cheese sticks, cheesesteak pizza, and the taste of Italy pizza The cheese sticks were good. Basically like a smaller pizza unsauced topped with cheese, bacon, and jalapeno with sauce on the side. It was a nice combo and they were crispy. The cheesesteak pizza was very good. Huge pie and even though the dough is not like the city at all, I still really enjoy it. It's not like the difference between NYC pizza to Chicago or anything that drastic...it's just different. A ton of cheesesteak meat and other toppings. The Tasty of Italy also had really good flavor. There were A LOT of sun dried tomatoes on this one. I know many people who would be thrilled about that, I took probably half of them off. Still a very good pie. We have been back since, i'll write an update soon. The stars aligned and my hopes for good Italian food were not disappointed. Nice setting, fabulous service, and outstanding food. I had to check with the people in my group to confirm that I wasn't experiencing this alone. No it was confirmed the spinach artichoke dip was out of this world, the home made bread and crust were out of this world, and the other dishes we ate were on par with this. I've never eaten indoors because we always pass as we're on our way elsewhere. My brother often orders pizzas and these pepperoni roll things. They're pretty good! I don't recall the pizza much but the pepperoni roll (pictured) I enjoyed! $17 for 2 of them. I would like to stop by and dine in one day to see what it's like. They tell us 25 minute wait for our to go order but was there in less than 15 minutes and picked our order up right away. read more

Alright guys, this is the pizza I have been dreaming about ever since... and no I am never this dramatic about pizza haha it was just that good! This is from Mariano's pizza in Luling and it certainly is worth the stop if you are around. This is the Florenza pizza with alfredo sauce, spinach, artichoke hearts, and feta with added shrimp! And boy was it filling! The crust was, in my opinion, perfectly cooked and loaded with topping and garlicky buttery shrimp Enough about the pizza I also got a dirty martini which was very strong! According to the people at the bar, all their drinks are strong lol. The eggplant medallion was a great appetizer but the eggplant were tough. Ohh and all this was $26!! Yea it was a great meal. Right off hwy 90 is this jewel of a restaurant! On our visit there was plenty of parking, no wait getting a table and we were able to order within minutes of being seated. We started with the Meatball Bake & Stuffed Mushroom Appetizers. Both were delivered to the table piping hot and were delicious and savory in every way! For entrees we shared the Chicken Parmesan Calzone and a Shrimp Florentine Wrap. Both were also brought to us smoking hot from the oven! The wrap was actually two wraps which made it perfect for sharing and the Calzone was huge.. All the food here was surprisingly authored Italian with large portions that left us satisfied. I highly recommend Mariano's Italian Eatery! Oh forgot to mention, they have two big picnic tables for outside seating! read more

The pizzas and wraps are fantastic! We have eaten in and had takeout. Service is 5 star! Food is 5 star! They are very busy but handle a full restaurant with ease! They have a full bar . We've ordered the pepperoni pizza, chicken florentine pizza, and chicken parmesan with angel hair pasta. The pizza is delicious- we've actually been back and ordered those two pizzas three times since our first visit. The pasta was more like spaghetti than angel hair, very thick, and I wasn't a huge fan of the flavors. But the pizzas are worth the visit! Also, the staff is very friendly. My boyfriend had been hyping this place up for the past few weeks, so when he finally took me, I was so excited. And I can definitely say it did not disappoint! I got the shrimp and corn bisque, and let me tell you, if I could eat this every day of my life, I would! It's just so good and was defintely super comforting on a chilly day like the one we went on. My boyfriend picked out the Philly cheesesteak pizza for us to split. I was genuinely impressed because I'm not the biggest green pepper fan, but it was also delicious! A co-worker told me this was the worst Italian food he'd ever had. My wife wanted to try it. I told her what my co-worker said she wanted to see for herself. We should've listened to him. This was the absolute worst food we've ever had. It smelled like rotten vajayjay when we entered. Our son asked what the smell was pretty loudly. He cried because the chicken tenders were so bad. The crab stuffed mushrooms we got were fishy tasting and my chicken parm was BURNT. Like black burnt. The pizza was also bad. I'd eat chef Boyardee and call it fine Italian before I'd ever step foot in this place again. All the people saying this place is amazing must know the owners or they have defective taste buds. Service is always great, the wings here are phenomenal, my only issue is the pizza. The pizza is never cooked enough in the center, I usually bring it home and throw it on a pizza stone in the oven for a few extra minutes. If it weren't for the pizza being doughy every time in the center, they'd have a 5 star review from me. read more

As Always, the food here is Incredible! Arrived here at 1230p.m. and the place was Packed. As usual, there was only one waitress (Dee Dee), but she was Outstanding. The way she bounced from table to table, taking orders, serving food, boxing leftovers, and bussing tables is the Best I have ever seen. Dee Dee's humbleness and attention to the customers is what made the longer than usual wait time, bearable. Due to Dee Dee's Outstanding service, this visit was Amazing! The food came out hot but not hot enough that you would burn your mouth off the first bite. The servers were very respectful and we will be returning to this location at a later date. The price of food is reasonable and the cleanliness of the restaurant was a blessing. We met the owner and she was really sweet and professional.
