As someone who's on the road often for work, I've learned to recognize when a restaurant takes its craft seriously--and Mid City Pizza in New Orleans absolutely does. I stopped in between meetings and ordered the Eggplant Parmigiana sandwich, which was outstanding: the eggplant perfectly crisp, the sauce rich but balanced, and the cheese layered just right. But what really sets this place apart is the bread. It's made from unbleached, unbromated flour and prepared with specially filtered and treated water designed to replicate New York City's famed pizza water--and you can taste the difference. The texture is remarkable, with a delicate crunch and subtle chew that makes every bite memorable. I also had the opportunity to sample a new garlic and olive pizza, and it carried that same attention to detail--bold flavor, quality ingredients, and a perfectly baked crust. For business travelers looking for a true local gem--where the food has soul and the ingredients are taken seriously--Mid City Pizza is a must. It's a slice (or sandwich) of genuine craftsmanship right in the heart of New Orleans.

Was looking for a place close to "The Mortuary Haunted House". Had no idea there were all these little places within 5 minutes off Canal St. ordered meatballs as an appetizer and a small pepperoni jalapeño pizza and it was divine! Meatballs fell apart in your mouth and the pizza was crispy and flavorful! This place reminds me of little mom and pop corner pizza places where I grew up on Southside of Chicago. Will definitely be back!

I was really craving a calzone and haven't found many pizza places in Nola have a decent one. This reopened not all that long ago and I saw they had a calzone on the menu so I had to go. This thing was huge. Like a large pizza folded in half. I went with the mid city meat monster stuffing. It was just what I needed. Very very filling. I could only eat half. They did not skimp on the meat. Also got some mozzarella sticks. They were thick and melty. Perfect cheese pool. I tried my gfs spicy margherita pizza. That was so good if I'm in the mood for pizza next time and not a calzone I'm getting that. Inside is kinda small, but they also have outdoor seating. Definitely recommend will be back.

The house wines are dependable, the Caesar's salad is fresh with a pleasant vinegar kick and plenty of grated parmesan, and the pizza is a hybrid - mid level rise on the crust - almost thin on the entire pie. The highlight for me is the cheese pizza - the mozzarella is delicious and the hidden Romano underneath gives a very satisfying kick. The sauce is made in house with whole San Marzano tomatoes. The supreme pizza is covered with quality charcuterie and fresh bell peppers, onions and black olives. Of course you can order in, and if you visit the mothership the raised deck seating beside the banks live oaks is very pleasant.

You know what? This place gets 5 stars from me, and here's why. I've been twice; I don't remember the first time because I was on a date trying to be thin. However, I do remember my most recent visit, and it was incredible. My friend, who doesn't drink, ordered a martini, thinking we were the ladies from *Sex and the City*, only to realize a classic martini isn't sweet. She passed it to me, and I must admit, I was a bit hesitant. I've been around the block, and normally I reserve cocktails for cocktail bars, you understand? But upon my first sip, I was taken aback. It was perfect, and honestly, I don't even really like classic martinis, but this one was fantastic. I was suddenly transported to a small café in NYC, sitting with my three best girlfriends, gossiping over cosmos. Now, let's talk about the pizza. As you can see, we dug in before I even got any pictures. As soon as our server sat our pizza and garlic knots down, we had to dive in. The food is fresh, and the flavor is on point. The pizza is large--like, you're not leaving hungry, large. I'm not a petite man, but even I could only eat two slices. The food's good, the prices are reasonable, the service is down-home and friendly, and the vibes are just right. If you're looking for good pizza, good people, and good drinks, this is your place.

This was my first time going to Mid City Pizza. My SO was craving a calzone and wanted to check them out so we went early on a Saturday. The inside of the restaurant is very open and you can see them working the dough in the kitchen. We got an order of mozzarella sticks and I ordered the small spicy margharita pizza for myself. It comes with sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, jalapeños and a drizzle of hot honey. The mozzarella sticks were melty and crunchy. The pizza was the perfect combo of spicy, sweet, and salty. Looking forward to going back and trying some more!

Had a spontaneous dinner here last night and loved their Arigula Salad, Meat Ball appetizer and the Larry one of the Very Important Pizzas (VIPs). It took a while for the pizza to come out, but it came out steaming hot and they served us slices from it to our plate. This was a surprisingly charming pizza joint, will come back again.

I wish I could write good things about this popular spot that's come back from the dead but I just didn't have a good experience there. We waited over an hour to receive a large pizza that was quite frankly, overpriced and overcooked. Our "Sicilian" pizza was as hard as a brick and was almost inedible. Decent sauce but that's the only good thing that I can say. Maybe I'll try them again in a few weeks when they're off the ground and running.

The patio and the staff make this a great experience. The pizza and the wine were fantastic! Go chill and have a pie!

We are here for the Essence Festival and I just so happen to be rapping to one of the security officers at the convention center, and she recommended this place. I want to go back & give her the biggest hug and kiss on the cheek! It is ridiculous how flavorful everything was! Just didn't make any sense! Lol lol I've sent this location to everyone I know that travels to New Orleans. The price is great, and the portions are very healthy! This restaurant in California would be almost double what your bill is going to be. There was three people at the table & we ordered four appetizers..... (which was all we really needed)... and everyone agreed 1 out of 10, they gave it a 10!! this restaurant is a must to try when visiting or even if you live in the city! So much good food to eat, but this is by far the best restaurant I've ever been to in New Orleans!

The service was nice. The inside was very tight and small spaced. The decor was still nice. It gave off a mom & pop/home style aesthetic. We ordered the Crawfish Beignet ($20.00) as our appetizer. I got their Rosemary Chicken with a side of Potato Salad & Sweet Potato Fries ($22.00). My friends got their Shrimp Bucktown Alfredo ($24.00) & Swamp Fries with Debris Gravy ($13.00). The food was okay, in my opinion, but it was nothing too special for the price. My friend said the Alfredo was a bit salty. The chicken I had was good. I was a bit disappointed with the Crawfish Beignet because the texture was hard, as I had expected it to have a soft beignet-like texture to it. Overall, it's a decent spot, but a bit overpriced for the quality.
