I booked this company for a deep clean for $250 that included inside cabinets, inside the fridge, and the patio. I asked twice and double-checked in writing that those were included because I was hiring them specifically to do the things I did not want to do myself, and they confirmed it. I even showed them the text messages when the issue came up. When they arrived, the owner tried to up-charge me for the same services that were already confirmed. What made this worse is that it was the owner of the company doing this, and she refused to provide any manager or other contact. Because of this, I ended up cleaning the cabinets and patio myself while they did only part of the job. I hired a cleaning service so I wouldn't have to do the work, yet I was cleaning alongside them the entire time. One of the other cleaners did a good job and was professional. Unfortunately, the owner was confrontational, dismissive, and extremely unprofessional -- this is her business, and her behavior set the entire tone. In addition, the owner repeatedly walked through filth and onto my carpet without removing her shoes or wearing shoe covers, even after I asked several times. I had to go back over areas with my vacuum. They also used my cleaning supplies even though I was told they would bring their own. On top of everything, the quality of the portion of the cleaning that they did was not professional -- I could have done the same job myself, which defeats the purpose of hiring a service. I paid $150, which reflected the work that was actually done (standard cleaning plus fridge), but this was by far the most stressful and unprofessional cleaning experience I've ever had. I requested deep cleaning, then regular biweekly service. Maria had good response time and after seeing home, she immediately agreed to the job. I asked that she begin on a certain date, but I kept having to reschedule due to power outages. She was very patient and accommodating. Ultimately, she and her crew of two ladies performed deep cleaning for our house. The house needed major cleaning. The job took several hours and Maria didn't stop until the job was completed. The quality of their work was outstanding!!! The ladies worked equally as hard as Maria does. I walked thru my house and some things were cleaned that I hadn't expected. I've used Maria's service twice now. The first time was last year, and she did an outstanding job. I recently brought her back for another cleaning. My house looks great EXCEPT that Maria left a bucket full of hot water on my hardwood floor. The bucket burned -- yes, burned -- a hideous ring into the finish of my floor. At first, I didn't realize what had happened. I thought maybe it was a stain. She tried to talk it away as, oh, it'll dry up. It turns out I have to have my floor REFINISHED to get rid of that unsightly burn! WTF! This should never happen with professional cleaners. I can never have them back. Don't trust them with your house. ETA: On December 20, I sent Maria the $300 invoice and proof of payment for fixing the damage, along with my Venmo QR code. I asked her to pay for the damage. If I could give 0 star, I would. I booked her for my new and old places. First, she was not communicative. I had to call her multiple times to book the second cleaning. I let it go because her English isn't good so I figured it was a communication issue and she needed an interpreter. Second, she did a horrible job- only cleaned things superficially and enough for you to not notice during the inspection. Even the counters looked bad when you look at it closely. She did a horrible job with the fridge and didn't even touch the freezer. Third, I decided to keep her for the move out clean since I didn't have time to find someone else. Where to start. Maria shows up with her partner and complains about having to walk into the apartment complex with her equipment. Then I ask her to take out some boxes from deliveries I had recently and then asks me why I didn't do it. If I'm gonna pay someone to clean my place, the last thing they should do is ask why I didn't do something. If I wanted to clean my own place, you wouldn't have a job over here. The rate was reasonable for the size of the house and Maria was very open when she let me know she was going to charge me slightly extra for our den as it is a big space. They deep cleaned everything- the ceiling fans, refrigerators and stove. They even cleaned things I didn't request such as our toaster oven. After doing some research on maid cleaning service on Yelp, I came across Maria's Housekeeper page. I noticed they had 4 stars but saw that many of their recent reviews had poor ratings. Nevertheless, i decided to take a chance and give them a call. BIG MISTAKE - NOW I UNDERSTAND THE REASON FOR THEIR POOR REVIEWS: Similar to what was said in earlier reviews, my initial conversation over the phone was pleasant. Everything changed as soon as they got here. I contacted Maria yesterday and requested 2 maids for 2 hrs at $50/hr + 10% discount (1st time customer) = $90 for today. We had scheduled her to come in between 2-3pm. She calls at 10:25am and asks if we wanted her to come in today. I told her yes, we scheduled it and confirmed the appointment yesterday so I wasn't sure why she was calling. She arrives and I show her two small office restrooms, kitchen, and 2 office rooms that needs cleaning. After her initial inspection, she said she couldn't do one of the offices due the clutter. I said, "no problem, just do the other spaces then". She goes to her car and comes back saying that the job should be done before two hours we had requested. I said, "no problem, since i'm paying you for two hours, we have other areas that need cleaning". She becomes hesitant with her words and body language, so I tell her, "since i'm paying you for 2 hours, i expect 2 hours of work to be done. We have plenty of cleaning that needs to be done, but I was just showing the areas I want done as priority. Once those areas are completed, I will assign you other areas to take of. If you have a problem with it, then we can go ahead and cancel the order." She goes to her car, talks to her boss, and says they will not service our office and proceeds to leave. *WARNING* - BE CAREFUL WITH THIS COMPANY. Wouldn't recommend for the price.They showed to my apt an hour and half late and I have text messages of them saying they showed up 3:45 when my roommate was in the apartment when the arrived at 4:20. They don't speak English but I speak Spanish and they were rude on the phone. The company said a dog wasn't an issue. But refused to clean the room the dog was in. My roommate had to call me at work so I could talk to them in Spanish and tell them we're only paying the minimum when they quoted me for $150 for bedrooms and bathroom. Which is on the higher end for a the service. Once again message me personally if you want the deets or a number for a real professional service I used before and made the big mistake when the other service wasn't available. Maria was the least professional housekeeper I have ever had the displeasure of working with. I made an appointment with her to clean the house I had just moved out of. She knew that the landlords were returning from their 2-year hiatus in the evening and that the place had to be cleaned so they could move all of their things in. Then she calls me the next day and asks if we can change our time -- which was difficult for me but I asked if it would give her the opportunity to take another job and she said yes that way she can do three jobs that day -- so I said okay I will rearrange my schedule. I feel like we moved into a new place! Our house has never been cleaner. The stove is immaculate, grout on our bathroom tiles have vanished. Our hated blinds are now dust-free. We have lots of toys and clutter but they were able to work with it (though I wish I had more time to declutter to make their job easier). I hired Maria's cleaners before and thought that they did a good job but this is now my second time around using their service and all I could say is that they did an OK job cleaning minus when they had to get to our office space. There was crumbs still all over the carpet and tons of hair all over the couch and floor. So that sort of annoyed my husband because the price of the job was 250. They also talked bad and used foul language about my dog who has really bad anxiety. Mind you , he was left outside the whole time they were cleaning.
