Saturday 3:30pm the guy who promised to show up and clean my house texts and cancels with no explanation. I needed it cleaned today due to company arriving tomorrow morning and probably called 20 different cleaning services (16 voicemails, 3 no availability, 1 that can only do 6am) before receiving a call back from Ella (the owner) saying that she could have two cleaners come out tonight. 8pm rolls around and they do show up despite the time and length of job ahead of them, and proceed to clean after I showed them through. Both before and after, Ella kept in touch constantly with me and seemingly with the cleaners to make sure everything was going smoothly, to update me on when they would be there, and to inform me of how pricing would work. About 10 minutes before they finished, I received a call from her to give me a final price and she was kind enough to offer a huge discount for the job done. While the pictures don't all show just how big of a disaster the house was, I know full well it was a lot of work. The occupants for the past 3 months consisted of a group of young adults (13-24) combined with a ridiculously furry (sheds on everything) husky. As I'm sure most of you know, this isn't the cleanest age group in terms of household chores. There was plenty of dog fur all over the floors, along the stairwell, on the carpet, and it sort of looked like a food bomb went off in the kitchen. Hair was chopped off and dyed in the restroom. Soap caked onto the sink. Grime from previous owners sat untouched on the blinds in the kitchen. Burnt drippings in the oven. Dust from unuse in the spare bedrooms coated everything. 5 hours later, all of this was remedied. Amazing customer service and attitude from both Ella and the two ladies (sorry, I'm awful with names!). I'm moving into a new house and helping a friend move out of a house. I called to set up a move-in cleaning (detailed cleaning so I'm not bringing my stuff into a dusty/grimy house) for one house and a move-out for a second house. I am getting a killer deal! I'm also getting excellent service! The new house was fairly clean but really needed a good kitchen/bathroom cleaning and all the floors mopped/walls cleaned/dusting top to bottom. Two super-friendly women came by to do the work. For a 3 bed/2bath house (including refrigerator and oven cleaning, tub with jets, all floors needing a mopping [no carpeting], plantation-blinds on everyyyyy window, etc..) they breezed through it in a timely manner! The house looks fab! I'm beyond pleased! I can't wait to see the magic that happens in the old house! I'll definitely be arranging a regular bi-weekly in the near future! I'm so excited to have found such a wonderful local business. Sure I can call one of the franchised services (not naming names but they rhyme with "jerry maids" and "jolly maids" lol) but as a self-employed woman I much prefer to give my hard-earned money to a small business owned and run by a woman, staffed by women. Great service, great staff. Cheaper than I expected and yet these women got stuff clean I didn't think was cleanable. They cleaned cabinet fronts. They cleaned the walls. THEY CLEANED THE WINDOWS! Not great. The three ladies from Sofiya's Cleaning Services did a good job until the end, when they got tired. They could not handle a big job. When I showed them things they missed, they had a difficult time taking care of it. Plus I paid over $400. Called and was able to get a same day cleaning within a couple of hours. Bridget and her co-worker (who is also her daughter in law, sorry forgot her name) actually showed up early, which was great. We went over what we wanted to be cleaned and they went off and did their thing. They paid great attention to detail and really did an impeccable job. They were personable, yet quiet and focused on getting the work done. Any requests we had they obliged. The ladies showed up with their own cleaning supplies and were in and out within 3 hours for the areas we requested to be cleaned. (3 hrs is their minimum). They also rearranged done little things (like frames etc) which normally I don't like, but she actually has a good eye for design and I ended up liking what she did better than my original set up, which is rare! I finally found my permanent house cleaners! Every cleaning service I've had there has been something that was an issue for me (as you can see from my previous Yelp reviews lol). Whether it was the cost, the timing, the scheduling, the language barrier, the work, etc. They cleaned my house today for the first time and not only did they do an amazing job (literally spotless!), but the representatives who answer the phone are super friendly and flexible with the schedule. Holy cow! Sofiya's cleaning service just transformed our apartment into a place that's livable again!!! We work A LOT and have too many animals so our apartment got really embarrassingly out of control. To the extent that we never have company over because it's so awful. Ella, the owner, and a partner were so delightful and kind and DETAILED. I've never been able to make a space spotless the way they do. Every inch of my apartment looks like a brand new place. Not only that, but it was obvious they both cared a lot about how thorough they were and were proud of a job well done. I hired this company to clean my house today and after taking a $60 deposit to confirm my appointment - they didn't show up. They told me they would arrive between 12:30 and 1:30 pm, and I called and texted between 1:30-2:00 and could see that my messages were read (read receipt) and they just never responded. I have requested a refund of my deposit, and hopefully that will happen. I know they fit me in, but if they couldn't do it, they should have never scheduled it. My advice is that you get a firm time and confirmation. Their reviews were great which is why I booked them, but now I have to scramble and find someone else. read more

My wife and I have always been hesitant with getting our home cleaned. We just came back from vacation and we worked the next day. I wasn't sure any company took same day request, but Ella called me back at noon to confirm a time of 4:30pm. I texted her at 4:50pm asking if she was still coming. She said "we are about to head out". I waited and texted her back at 6:30pm (2 hours after agreed upon time), and throughout her text messages she said "we were heading out". She mentioned both times that last minute there's only so much they can do. I have to tell you, Ella; don't book last minute or same day appointments if you can't commit to those times. WORST cleaning I have ever experienced- $250 and I had to clean up dirty rags left around the house, cleaning detergent and tissues in kitchen sink, they cleaned around everything, did not move simple items like dog beds to vacuum under. Unfortunately she only cleaned kitchen and asked for payment upfront and was supposed to return to finish the job. Still have not heard back from her after calling her and sending a text. This is a young, upcoming business owner who has a lot on their plate juggling staff and customers to continuously deliver efficient results. Thanks to them for asking me all the right questions, there weren't any surprises - just relief that my needs were met. Two things to do here: 1) be communicative about the current status (make it as visual as possible so they know how to utilize their time and your needs for you), and 2) share what you want done in that scope of time (i.e., 2 hours in one room, or 2 hours of light work throughout). I regularly clean but wanted them to address some heavy duty cleaning on the base board, shower, and artificial plant. The work that was done was very satisfactory. The attention to detail was awesome. They both did such a fantastic job. Cleaning the nooks and crannies of spots I would have never thought of. I found this place on Yelp randomly at first. Called them no one was available. I got a call from the owner later that evening we started talking, she was truly one of the nicest people I had met. She even gave me a discount which she usually doesn't do and I decided to give her company a try. The girls that Ella sent to clean our house did an amazing job today. I was beginning to second guess myself and wonder if my expectations were unreasonable, I feel like the trash should be taken out and our blinds and fans to be deep cleaned. Sofia's cleaning crew snapped me back into reality. I finally got what I paid for and more... I really did!!! Great communication from the company! We went back and forth via email and all my questions and concerns were addressed prior to booking an appointment. They require a 40$-deposit to book appointments, and the deposit will be applied towards my final bill. I was told that in case of cancelation of the appointment anytime, I will lose the deposit. I think it is reasonable, because I understand that many people book appointments and cancel. Being a business-owner myself, I know how frustrating, especially last-minute, cancelations can be, and they mess up the already established work schedule and priory planned and approved work location route and time-schedule. Back to my amazing experience I had, the maids were on time, they maid my home look fabulous!!!i also had special requests about particular products used on shutters (simple green) and floors (Murphy oil) and this was the first time I made her do my request and follow through. I am so happy and grateful our house looks and smells wonderful we've made arrangements for a regular cleaning service going forward Thank you very much and I will definitely use your services in the future and confidently will refer to my friends and family your excellent services. After my regular cleaning crew cancelled on my last minute, I called Ella. I understand I contacted her last minute and she was alone but for the amount of time she spent at my empty house and the little work she did was ridiculous. After 10 hours (yes 10), at a 3 bed and 3 bath, 1500 sq/ft townhouse I realized NONE of my windows nor blinds were cleaned, nothing in the kitchen was cleaned besides the stove (not a single cabinet or drawer was touched), not a single light fixture was cleaned. I specifically mentioned to her that tenants were moving in the day before and she said she will leave my house SPOTLESS. I think since she was alone most of the time she did as little as possible to kill time. After I questioned her about the windows, she says she doesn't clean windows.....maybe you should disclosed this before you promise someone you are going to leave their house spotless. Two of my bathrooms were brand new so there was almost nothing to be cleaned in those but the floors. Can not speak for her crew but save yourself the money, time and nerve and never book Ella. She runs Sofiya's cleaning services which just seems like a joke. I stayed for two hours cleaning after she left and finished what she did not in 10+ hours of "cleaning". read more

I had a great experience the first time they came. So great I set up a bi-weekly cleaning. Thats when the problems started. First of all they didn't show up for the second appointment. When I called they acted like they had never heard of me. They then realized they missed the appointment and wanted to reschedule. Their excuse: The two girls (who were amazing and the only reason we wanted to set up a bi-weekly) "NO LONGER WORKED THERE." I understand losing help, but just avoiding the next appointment without a phone call is not ok. We rescheduled for Saturday, which is not ideal. Again no show during 2 hour window, so again I call. This time I was told they were behind but should be there within an hour. That hour was an hour and a half. When they finally came the two people who showed up (a man and a woman) appeared high. My wife was extremely uncomfortable with them from the moment they walked in, and after missing the day before as well as being late for this appointment we had had ENOUGH. We asked them to leave. We cleaned the house ourselves. CAN ANYONE PLEASE ANYONE RECOMMEND A REAL CLEANING SERVICE IN LA. This is the 3rd place we have tried. read more
