Penne Alfredo with chicken and mushrooms!

I had a penne pasta with Alfredo sauce, chicken and mushrooms. This is a Hidden jewel in Sycamore! All the food was amazing and the service was great! Will definitely be coming back soon. Can't believe I didn't find this place sooner. Wonderful service!

Best Italian food in dekalb and sycamore! Love the vodka sauce! We try to go once a week. Staff is very nice and attentive.

During Quarantine, boo and I were craving some Italian. Never tried this place but have heard great things! We ordered the oglio, which was pretty good- very garlicky but paired very well with the salad and bread. We also ordered some Nutella pillows for dessert- they were spot on! Next time I'm gonna try the Alfredo!

Sorry, we ate all of our food before we thought to take a photo.

My friend wanted to drive the hour to Sycamore to go eat at Maria's Little Italy. So we did. WOW, I'll do it again in a heartbeat. Once you walk in it feels like you are transported to Maria's dining room, or a little restaurant in Italy. So cute. The staff is amazingly friendly and attentive. Then there is the FOOD!!! Every bite was jam packed with flavor that I had never tasted in an Italian restaurant. Maria says they make what they cook in their kitchen at home. I wasn't going to have dessert, as I rarely do, but if you are a Tiramisu fan don't let the opportunity go by to at least grab one to go. I tried the almond something or another too. If I wasn't such a Tiramisu fan, I'd tell you to get the Almond thing. They were both amazing. GLUTEN FREE pasta is on the menu. Yay! Give Maria's a try; you'll become a regular.

Food was incredible! Just wish they had more seats although they'd likely be filled too. Wonderful!

For any restaurant in the 21st century to claim to be Italian (or any cuisine) and use canned mushrooms..... ridiculous.

The pizza was edible. The cheese covered only about half of it. The crust was average. There are better choices.

Ordered a few appetizers and an amazing salad for dinner tonight. Best balsamic dressing ever! Will do my best to support local businesses!

The variety of wine available on the menu is good, and the variety of charcuterie is even better. A friend of mine had suggested we try this place just the other day. It's been on our list, so we tried it last Saturday. We were greeted and seated promptly. The seats and tables are comfortable. There is a bar area with a flat screen TV set, and there was a good crowd at the bar when we arrived. Our server passed out the menus, which took a minute to take in. Do we go with a cocktail, or wine? We decided to go with red wine. For the wine, we went with two different glasses (one for each, but we shared). My wife went with the A & D Merlot, which was very bright with a surprisingly smooth finish. I went for the Ivory & Burt Cabernet, which was a good cabernet. The charcuterie is named, so we went with The Frank. It came with a good selection of sausages, cheeses, and mustard, along with dried blueberries, dried plums, and crackers. The selection and flavors worked well with the red wines we had selected, and the wines did a nice job of clearing the palate before we dove in on another cheese or sausage. I noticed they had a wine club - you can sign up for $35 a month (month by month charge, cancel anytime). If you are a wine club member, you get 20% off your purchases. We joined on the spot, got 20% off our ticket, and the two bottles of wine from this month. This isn't your usual DeKalb bar. This is a nice place with solid service. The art on the walls in some cases is for sale, and the owner's personally curated wines for sale are stocked on the back wall. We wrapped up with desserts - my wife had their Chocolate Mousse, and I had their Strawberry Cheesecake - these are served in small glasses, and are just perfect for finishing up. If you are looking for an interesting place to visit, this is a place you NEED to visit.
