    crispy shredded beef tacos

i've been going there for five years and it's always been good. I haven't been there in a while since they got their new menus and they upped their prices but I just went tonight and order two crispy tacos, combination, rice and beans he didn't give me any tortillas chips he didn't ask if I was staying or leaving. He didn't even give a shit and when I got my tacos, the shredded beef was black and literally not even a finger across the taco shell. It was stuffed with lettuce and a little cheese and a little bit of tomatoes, but the lettuce was the bulk of the taco so I took them back up to the counter and was like what's going on. You got a new cook or what cause these tacos suck. Oh I don't know. I can't help you. That's just the way it is so no I'll never be going back to this place since they up the price got new menus. They really do suck and the food terrible everything I brought a lot of friends over there family no more.

I called to place an order for 20 rolled tacos for $15. I had ordered it before on DoorDash but the immature girl on the phone told me that wasn't possible because they don't do that. I told her that it's offered through door dash and that I was placing the order while speaking with her. The girl on the phone today, Wednesday 2/17/26 at 3:30pm, refused to tell me her name also refused to honor the deal on door dash. When the order came it was 10 rollled tacos short and didn't have any of the hot sauces or guacamole that it said it comes with. I called requesting, again, her name and to speak to a manager. She laughed at me when I told her I am disabled and that I can't go there otherwise I'd return them. She replied, "LOOK, IM NOT TRYING TO HAVE A BAD DAY SO..." and hung up on me! I've never in my whole life been treated so horribly. I had asked multiple times for her name and she kept hanging up and refusing. This USED to be my favorite taco shop. I didn't realize until I recently became disabled. You discriminate against disabled, you took full advantage of the fact that I can't walk.

We were in the area late for kids birthday party, by the time we were heading home it was very late and I remembered Maria's is opened! After 10 pm and the place was very busy with a steady stream of folks coming in to order mostly for takeout. Ordered the crispy tacos with ground beef and taquitos again, this time the ground beef had no flavor, and it seemed more like chili meat than regular ground beef. For the taquitos or as they call them rolled tacos. I assume they would be chicken as they were before but instead they were also the same ground beef mixture. Everything was made to order and very fresh, but we were just not thrilled with the ground beef. Ordered another crispy taco with shredded beef and it was so much better. Folks at the counter are friendly and helpful, and even joke with their customers. From the interactions with people coming in, they get a lot of repeat customers.

Amazing little restaurant. We stopped here after visiting a family member at doctors hospital. I looked at the Yelp reviews before stopping here and oh boy it was the best decision. Authentic Mexican food with good music and great service. Enjoyed our food and most of all the salsa bar. If you are in the area you need to stop here!

Food was dry. Not authentic. It wouldn't be my first choice for Mexican food, I rather go to a taco truck.

Worth it! Walked into a very quiet, but colorful restaurant with only one other patron inside. The employees were so nice. We were told to pick anywhere, we were brought menus and instantly asked if we'd like anything to drink or if we wanted to look at the menu first... We asked for suggestions and the waitress offered the types of drinks they have. She brought us chips and salsa. The chips were homemade with a perfect crunch. The salsa was fresh, chunky and not spicy. The pepino cone limo aqua Fresca was the best aqua Fresca I've EVER had. Not too sweet at all and was SO REFRESHING. We also ordered an horchata and I was told that was just as good. The food... Where to start. We ordered an empanada and some quedabirria tacos. The empanada was HUGE, deliciously filling with fresh ingredients. It had great flavor. The quesabirria tacos were probably the best we've had. You order the amount you want. They are 5.99 each and oh so delicious. The meat tasted SO FRESH and flavorful. The creamy jalapeño salsa had a NICE kick to it. All meals come with radish and pickled onions as garnish, but eating them with the meal made it even more refreshing and delicious. They need more than one location, but until then we will be back! (Luckily, I heard they do catering.)

We ordered cheese enchiladas and chicken fajitas this time. The service was good. The waitress checked on us. We got seated in the garden patio and it was nice there. They kept it cool. The food was okay. The fajitas were served smoking hot with side of tortillas and sour cream, pico, and guacamole only. The veggies were well grilled and overall pretty tasty. I opted to not get beans. The enchiladas were okay. I didn't like them very much last time, and still didn't like them this time, either. We ordered the churro dessert. It came served with a side of ice cream and whipped cream. It was also okay. My visit to La Morenita was better this time than the last time, but still the menu felt pricier and probably won't come back. P.S. The chips and salsa were really yummy.

My only real recommendation is to avoid sitting in the bar area if you're in a hurry. Service there tends to move a lot slower, so it can take a while to get your order in and get your food. The restaurant itself is a little run down, and the bathrooms could definitely use some attention, but the bar and outside area is decorated nicely and has a good atmosphere overall. All in all, it's a great local spot and one I keep going back to.

It is a pretty standard local Mexican joint. It is very casual and family friendly. There is a small bar separate from the main dining room. There is also a large back room that can be reserved for special events. The decor was nice and the music was fine. We were provided chips, salsa, and beans. I was not a fan of these. The chips were dense and the beans were flavorless. The salsa was alright. It was pretty hot but wasn't utilized much because the chips weren't great. For my main dish, I ordered the Supreme Quesadilla with beef. It came with a side of beans and rice. I liked that the beans had cheese but I wasn't impressed with either side. The rice felt a little bit undercooked to me. The quesadilla itself was pretty good. It was very cheesy and had a lot of beef. I appreciate the large dollops of guacamole and sour cream. The service was disappointing. It took an extremely long time for the waiter to come and take our order. We were sitting there ready to order for probably 20 minutes or longer. Once we received the food, we did not see our waiter again. We were in desperate need of a water refill but the waiter never came by. To me, the service felt very slow and unenthusiastic.
