For my fingers I chose the builder gel full set because I want to keep my natural nails and I like them short since I do a lot of typing and yard work. I picked a color an Thuy did a great job matching up my longer nails with my broken shorter nails so they looked more uniform. We had great conversation and I felt really comfortable. I left feeling really satisfied with my experience and knowing that I just found my new nail spot. I cannot say enough good things about COURTNEY at the Maribou in the Palladio! She is always so professional and sits down with me before she starts doing my hair to look at the pictures I bring in and talk about what that would mean, like if I want bleach it could take a few tries because my hair was initially dark and on the flipside if I bleach my hair once, don't go right back to dark the next time! I am writing a review specifically here because I have been getting my hair done by Courtney for awhile, but I recently did a purple/copper balayage look I found on Pinterest. The first try (from dark red brown) was almost perfect! The second time I went to the salon it was 110%. I recently purchased clip-in hair extensions and wanted them to match my somewhat unique purple and copper hair so I took them to Courtney to color match and then have her place them in my hair and cut them to my haircut so that they would look really good. She matched them perfectly to the color and even with the dramatic length increase, the cut blends in really well STRAIGHT which is saying something because you can hide a lot of damage with curls! I couldn't be happier and I always refer my friends to Courtney because I think she is honest, up front, professional, and overall just does a really gorgeous job on hair. Faith is a literal god send. I tend to be picky when it comes to where and who I get my hair done by and I've hit the jackpot at Palladio Maribou. Faith is extremely knowledgeable in her craft and continues to expand her expertise. She never fails to make you feel welcomed and comfortable during your visit and has a bright, contagious energy which is always the cherry on top of a salon day. Each time I get my hair done by her I feel like she outdid the last time she blessed my hair with her pizazz. I will even go weeks past a freshen up because I don't trust anyone but her to touch my hair. KRISTY is by far the best hairstylist I have ever been to. So..... I bleached my own hair (big mistake I know) and of course it turned out terrible!!! It was two completely different colors and so damaged that it was breaking off at the ends. I was about to start a new job and did not know if the mess I made could even be fixed. She explained that due to the damage done to my hair it was unlikely that it would withstand being lightened again without significant breakage. We looked at color swatches and agreed on a beautiful color that could be achieved with what damage had already been done. She executed the color process perfectly!!! I couldn't believe my hair was such a beautiful rich color and with the deep conditioning treatment (and a bit of a trim) looked and felt so healthy again. Thank you so much Kristy for making me feel fabulous for my first day at a new job and I will definitely be back to see you again. read more

Sara L. is an amazing stylist! Being that I've been a stylist myself we speak the same hair language, but it was beyond that that I was impressed. Sara is attentive and professional. My hair takes to red incredibly strong, as a lot of women's hair does. When my touch up color wasn't exactly right because of this, Sara took the time to reapply a new formula and make sure I left the salon looking and feeling amazing! Her skill with shears also wowed me, my cut is even, with a clean edge, something that, surprisingly, has been hard to find, even with my hand in the industry. Of course to top it all off, Sara is one of the sweetest people I've ever met and who wouldnt want to spend 2-3 hours with someone like that! I rebooked with her until January, and am looking forward to my next appointment P.S. Her shampoo head massage is amazing!! If nothing else at least go in for a wash and style! read more

Before coming to Maribou I had two bad experiences in a row with hairstylists and the most previous one left me with a horribly done balayage. I was VERY hesitant to come to a new place but Maribou has a great reputation so I took a leap of faith and was completely won over! Destiny was my hair stylist and was the only one at the salon when I arrived (I like the earliest appointments) and she greeted me warmly, made me coffee, and made me feel right at home. She listened to my stories and took the time to really make sure she understood what I wanted by doing a thorough consult. Easy to talk to (the past one I had would just talk smack about other people to her other coworker and ignore me! Trashy!) and at the end she made sure I was happy and she did a BEAUTIFUL job, never been happier!! All I can say is....Destiny Astorgia, you are wonderful! I am of middle eastern descent with coarse, unruly, curly hair so I am somewhat of a nightmare client to style. And, if I dare to have anyone attempt to straighten my hair, I end up a huge frizz ball or weighed down and oily with product. Destiny, by far, is the best stylist I have ever had. Her blow drying skills are second to none. She straightens my hair so it looks naturally full, sleek and beautiful! Courtney Ray has always listened to exactly what i'm going for and i always leave the salon feeing amazing. She has helped me go from my virgin color of dark drown, all the way to platinum blonde while keeping a lot of length and then helped me become a readhead, aaaaaall the way back to a natural looking blonde. she is a blonde expert and really understands color. weather it's a simple root touch up and cut, or full on balyage, all the way down to a severe color correction. this girl KNOWS her stuff and is truely talented with color. Kristi was my stylist, she absolutely NAILED it! I didn't really have a set idea of what I wanted BUT she took one look at my hair and said "we need to do A, B, C" and "based off of what you told me I think this style would look great!" And she was 100% correct!!! A deep condition and some beautiful toners amped up my look AND confidence. Plus she is the easiest person to talk to so my three hour treatment went by in a jiffy. Oh! Did I mention that I have had nothing done to my hair in YEARS! She took a damaged head of hair and transformed it into a healthy, shiny, beautiful head of hair! Sara L was born to do hair. I brought in an inspiration picture and walked out looking even better than that pic! I got a cut and color 4 weeks ago and I am still thrilled with the results. Sara knew how to tailor the cut to my particular hair type and I had a blast spending my time there. She showed me how I could recreate the style at home and how to use the products. I was welcomed immediately at the door when I walked in for my appointment with Heather Hill. The atmosphere was very relaxed and I felt right at home. They have mimosas if you'd like, water, cookies on the table in the waiting area. Everyone is friendly and their customer service is wonderful! Heather did an INCREDIBLE job yet again on my hair! She does something called "Checker boarding" with hair color. It's not often used with hair coloring, but she makes it look so stunning every time! This is my new salon in Folsom! Sarah was wonderful and took great care of my hair and I'm happy I came here instead of commuting to Davis to my old stylist. I'm new to the area and was worried to find a new stylist who would treat me like a recurring client but I felt comfortable here. The atmosphere was lovely and all the girls were accommodating. I scheduled an online appointment, and I decided to select Emily. She made some suggestions and gave me a gorgeous cut that beautifully framed my face. I have really dark hair and don't get out in the sun as much as I used to, so basically I had no "summer touch" to it what so ever. :( Emily expressed that a bayalge would give my hair some dimension and a natural sun-kissed look, but I had never heard of it before and didn't want anything extreme. I have been back in California for almost a year and could not find a hairstylist that could understand what I wanted until I went to Maribou at the Palladio. Sara Lubinski is by far the best stylist I have had to date. She had a mess to work with as a previous stylist I went to in Roseville did a really bad job. This is a really nice salon environment. Very welcoming and modern. My appointment started right on time and Amber took the time to listen to my individual concerns with my hair and helped me with ideas for a good color and cut for me. My stylist is Amber Friedrichs and she is wonderful. She also helped me choose the best hair care products for my particular hair issues. About almost a year ago, I decided that I wanted to dye my hair a bright red color, after recommendations and research I found Courtney! With my curly hair being naturally dry, she still somehow manages to keep my hair soft and healthy after all of the bleach and hair dye with my curl pattern staying perfectly intact! What a beautiful Salon! It was clean, classy and very friendly. I had my first visit with Heather A! She is one of the newest stylist there. She was confident and very friendly. She made me feel very comfortable! I had a wash (she was amazing) a cut and styled! She did a beautiful job. She didn't rush. She took her time and made sure I got the cut I wanted. You ask... would I have here cut my hair again? The answer is... MOST DEFINITELY!! If you're looking for a great Salon this is the one for you!!! Thanks Maribou for a wonderful positive experience!! That's when I found the many positive reviews for Lox and Hue Salon on Placerville Drive. I made an appointment with Jaimie, initially planning to get a perm because I thought adding body might solve my hair issues. During my appointment, Jaimie took the time to discuss my concerns, how I typically styled my hair, the products I used, and the time I spent on my daily routine. After carefully evaluating my hair and listening to my goals, she recommended against a perm. Instead, she suggested a cut that would better suit my hair and texturize the heavier, unmanageable areas. After a relaxing shampoo, a great cut, and a beautiful style, I left the salon feeling happier and more confident than I had in a long time. Jaimie did an amazing job, and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a stylist who truly listens and knows how to make hair work for you. My only disappointment is that I don't live nearby and can't return to her regularly. However, whenever I'm in the area, I will definitely be making another appointment with Jaimie!

After making the 40 min drive and arriving, I find out that my appointment was canceled with NO contact from the stylist or the salon. She had booked someone else for the same time slot. When I asked to get a different stylist and explained how far I lived the receptionist told me no one was available. I asked to speak with the manager and both the receptionist and Alisha told me they are unable to give that information out. Both kept repeating "we are all self employed". Alisha's reason for "canceling" my appointment was because I didn't reply to her text which had asked for a picture of my hair goals. I pulled up the text thread which shows not just one reply but TWO that I sent to her. She denied ever receiving my messages. I did not receive a text or phone call from neither her or the salon, canceling my appointment. After reading the reviews on here, appointment canceling seems to be pretty standard for this place. Trust me, don't waste your time going here. What terrible customer service and poor reflection on the salon. I left completely having wasted my time and feeling very upset by the entire ordeal. What a couple of employees can do to a business, unbelievable. I would not recommend this salon to anyone.

Jessica has done it again!…read more I went to Jessica last year for the first time in April 2022 where she colored my hair from a natural black to a blonde, and I loved her work so much that I decided to use her again to color my hair from blonde with black roots to a platinum blonde! Just for some context, I reached out to Jessica last-minute (only two days before my appointment!) but after working some things out with our schedules, she was able to fit me in right before closing time! I also want to note that I live just over 100 miles from this salon (I was visiting family in the area when I went here the first time and was in a pinch to find a great salon) but Jessica was and is still worth making the drive! She took the same time that she did last time in one appointment - two sessions in about 2.5 hours, and let me tell you, that is not easy to pull off! But Jessica came to the rescue once again! Jessica is friendly, personable, and fun to have conversations with, and she once again made the hair coloring process enjoyable and easy. Their salon reminds me of a spa with beautiful modern touches and the facilities are well-maintained. Plus, they play great music (they were playing afrobeats, perfect for an early Saturday night to get you in the mood to party later that night lol)!
