It looks to me that if the $2000.00 lens makes me see better then thats what I should get without having to pay "out of pocket". I guess I'll have talk to him again . It doesn't make sense to me. After a week of not getting a callback I have driven to their office. My message(s) were not in their system. Now, the latest is I am having cataract surgery in 5 days and my cardiologist's office left a message with Ga Eye Partners for a cardiology clearance. The cardiologist RN asked me to contact them because she got no callback. I have Dr. Prada's surgical coordinator's number. I reached out to her and she will fax over the necessary clearance. She stated she never got a message and agreed the phone system is terrible.

The initial assessment was very nice, there were only a few people there (went to Dunwoody location), and the doctor that did the assessment was extremely knowledgeable and wonderful at explaining everything. I had to go to the Galleria location because they had the more specialized laser for my horrible prescription. I wasn't really nervous, but excited to finally have the procedure. I was a bit put off at first (not to the point I'd reconsider) by the sheer amount of people there for Lasik-- and ONE doctor. It's definitely a mill. They must make a fortune. Second, I was put off by the doctor. He looked really rough-- like a homicide detective or military captain. Like he's been beat up a lot and doesn't shy away from a good fist fight (LOL). He smiled a lot, to make me feel more comfortable, but he didn't really try to answer my questions and seemed annoyed (some of the things he said to expect were NOT what the doctor who did the assessment said-- he didn't have any interest in hearing it). All said, he did know how to use the laser and corrected my vision just fine. The surgeon is just one of many of the cogs in the wheel, there is no patient-doctor relationship, and they make it very impersonal and sterile to manage expectations (IMO).

Yes, they sanitize between patients on all their equipment. They are still up holding all cautions so bare with them. Show up for your appointment and bring your patients. Everyone they see is a priority. I like the staff and the fact that they treat you with respect and kindness. I appreciate that I personally was taken care of and relaxed so much that the surgical process only took 15 minutes for my first and second eye procedures. ( done on two separate dates). The pain factor is minimal and my vision is now 20/20. I didn't realize how much I was missing until I received my two new lenses. So my daughter recommend I take them here to see if they could fix them- so I did! I left them on the condition "we may not be able to fix this" but I knew they would be more successful than me!! At my last visit with my 3-year-old, I arrived at 9:40 AM and wasn't finished until after 11:30 -- nearly two hours of waiting. I understand that delays can happen, but this level of disorganization, especially when caring for a young child, is unacceptable. When I came back for my own appointment, I waited over 30 minutes in the lobby before even being seen. I always arrive on time or early and schedule the earliest appointments possible to avoid long waits, but that clearly didn't help this time. It's very disheartening, because over the years I've purchased at least five pairs of glasses, two pairs of sunglasses, and two pairs of glasses for my daughter. I even planned to get another pair this month. Sadly, after these last two experiences, I've lost confidence in the practice. My family and I will be taking our business elsewhere, and my mother -- who was planning to start coming here -- has now decided not to. I truly hope the office takes this feedback seriously. Loyal patients deserve better communication, organization, and respect for their time.

I could read the "E" at the top of the eye chart and that was all. As soon as I could, much later in life, I did something about it. Two co-workers recommended Dr. Ashraf of the Atlanta Vision Institute when he was with his former lasik surgery practice. On their recommendation, I had the same surgery performed (using a type of Bausch & Lomb equipment that is obsolete now). He corrected my eyes to 20/15 in one eye, and nearly 20/15 in the other. This was back in 2001 and I swear by my results. Lasik, though performed under a streamlined process, is still surgery, and you experience minor discomfort and inconvenience as you recover. The success rate is very, very high, as a result of being carefully screened beforehand. Read the literature accompanying your consent forms. I referred Miss D. to Dr. Ashraf after he formed the Atlanta Vision Institute, and he performed a different type of vision improvement surgery for her, and three years later she also is very happy with her result. We paid for and received the one-year touch-up package, though she did not use it.

Their digital imaging system is always top tech and I love that they don't do the dilation drops.  The changeover to Dr. Carlos Pessoa was smooth and he is just as nice as his predecessor. Their glasses selection is great and if you have your own frames, they can get new lenses for them. I have contacts as well and am picky with how they feel but they worked with me until we found the right type.
