It's a decent range, and it's convenient. Not many options in this area, unless you're a member at a private club. I watch the teaching pros, and the students don't seem to get better. Marietta Golf Center is a good spot for some practice. The facility is clean and well-kept, and it has everything you need to work on your game. That said, not many bays were open when I visited, which made it harder to get in a full session without waiting. It would also be nice if they opened earlier on the weekends for those who like to start their day on the range. Overall, it's a solid choice for practice and I'd come back, but a few small improvements could make it even better. read more

What a great place to practice!! Coming from California, we were looking for a place to hit balls before we went to Lake Oconee. This had all that we needed. Grass and mats, chipping, sand were great. Putting was on artificial turf. People there were friendly. read more

Great value here. My go to place for practice. I take my two girls here on Sundays and we blast away. They have some cool auto ball placers if you get tired of the plastic stick. And they sell beer. I mean what else you looking for in a driving range. Partially covered for rain and grass sections. Two putting greens and a vip chip area. read more

The driving range is ok if you can get passed the numerous old men sitting on the porch seems intimidating as you walk in to buy balls. Don't like that feeling going someplace else TOO much a boys club. Women are allowed but very not welcome . Go someplace else if you can. read more

It's not much to look at, but Marietta Golf Center has almost everything you need to work on all facets of your golf game. This strictly practice-only facility is situated just inside the North Loop (North Marietta Parkway, 120 loop) in a secluded location. You have to drive to where Gresham Road dead-ends to find this place. What I like about Marietta Golf Center is you can come hit balls here, rain or shine, day or night. They have about a dozen mats in a covered and lighted section of the range. They also have a spacious grass hitting area, so you can take your pick. Sometime within the last couple years or so, they added new Power Tee hitting mats. Power Tee is an automatic teeing system. It's pretty cool and this is the first range where I've seen it. You load your range balls into a compartment underneath the mat and the machine (it's electronic) automatically tees up balls for you to hit. The system is simple. Power Tee keeps track of how many balls you've hit. You can press a button to adjust your tee height. There are four tee height options. One thing I appreciate about Power Tee is the tallest tee setting accommodates today's drivers. Oftentimes, driving range mats will have no tees or short tees that are too short to fit today's drivers. Power Tee is a great way to practice hitting your driver over and over without having to bend over and re-tee the ball yourself (definitely a first-world convenience). The mats I used looked new and in great shape. In addition to the automatic teeing system, the Power Tee mats have two hitting surfaces to choose from. Both simulate fairway. Range balls can be purchased inside the clubhouse or at the dual Range Servant machines outside. At the time of writing this review, prices are as follows: 25 balls for $4.50 card ($4.00 cash) - "The Varmint" 50 balls for $7.50 card ($7.00 cash) - "The Lacy Underalls" 80 balls for $11.50 card ($11.00 cash) - "The Carl Spackler" 110 balls for $15.50 ($15.00 cash) - "The Judge Smails" Cash is only accepted inside at the register. Card is accepted inside or out. The various size names are references to the 1980 golf comedy movie Caddyshack. During my last visit, the range balls were Wilson Staff Premium Range balls and they were decent quality. There was the occasional old, strange, or off-brand ball mixed in, but overall, the range ball quality seemed OK and fairly consistent. There are a several greens, flags, and targets to aim at which is nice. According to the distances posted, the longest flags/green (red flags) are 243 yards away and the shortest flags/green (green flags) are only 41-65 yards away; great for pitch shots. There is a practice short game area with a practice chipping green and two practice bunkers. However, unlike most other golf practice facilities (at least the ones I've been to), this one costs a separate fee to use. They have a practice putting green too, free to use, but it's artificial -- perhaps this facility's biggest weakness. I prefer to practice putting on a real putting green. This one has five holes and is located in front of the clubhouse. The clubhouse is no-frills. Along with the counter/register, they have shelves and refrigerators stocked with basic refreshments, used clubs and headcovers, and a small lounge area with a TV. There are restrooms, a water fountain, and they offer free coffee too. There's a separate building between the range and the short game area reserved for private golf instruction. Marietta Golf Center has a staff of PGA and LPGA members and teaching professionals that you can book lessons with. They also conduct clinics. Overall, the property is definitely showing its age, but she's got it where it counts. This place has been here for as long as I can remember. In the early days (for me, early 2000s), my coworkers and I used to come here to hit balls during our lunch break. I then realized scarfing down fast food and getting all sweaty before returning to the office wasn't very pleasant. Service I've experienced has been good. read more

Good driving range in a secluded location. - Two ranges: one hitting off grass, one hitting off mats. - The grass area is down the hill from the main building and has enough space for quite a few golfers. - The mat area is next to the parking lot, is covered and can accommodate about a dozen people. - There are targets to hit towards, maybe not a many as at other places. - At the covered hitting area, you'll find signs describing the distance to some of them, including to a long row of large posts running the length of the range. Unfortunately, while the posts are colored, the sign with distances doesn't indicate color, making it difficult to judge which is which. - There is a relatively small short game area with a putting green and two bunkers. Using this area costs an extra $5 even if you've purchased range balls (which are not allowed in the short game area). Both times I've been to Marietta Golf Center, the short area has been overrun with kids learning the game, some who could stand to learn proper decorum. - Large parking lot. - Range balls are mediocre. In both baskets I've purchased I've found damaged balls. Overall, A-OK. I greatly prefer Legacy, though. read more

This is truly a hidden gem in Marietta when it comes to golf. The center has a fantastic driving range with two options: grass or artificial. The artificial tee-boxes also come with automatic-loading balls, which is super convenient if you're really trying to nail down your form without introducing extra movements. The prices at the Marietta Golf Center also are better than any other driving range in the area. A bucket here is on average $2-3 cheaper than Legacy or Fox Creek, and for those of us more towards the north, it's much easier to get to rather than fight traffic on 41 at any time of day. I wish the putting green was made of real grass, as it's much too quick to practice on and doesn't reflect the speed of any of the real greens in the area. But I don't have an interest in coming here to work on my putting game, I can do that on my own time somewhere else, so it's not that big of a deal. read more

This is the best driving range in town!!! Great grass tees, chipping area and lights at night. They just added a misting station to cool you down in the summer. I highly recommend it!! read more

I have been to the Marietta Golf Center 4-5 times. Easy to get range balls, fairly affordable and plenty of practice areas.

Their card machines don't ever seem to be working when I go there. If you don't have cash on you, you are out of luck. it's 2022, how do you not have this technology figured out yet? read more

This is a nice facility for hitting balls both off of grass tees and mats. I've been going there for years. Recently, I went and purchased a bucket of balls, hit them, and then went to the short game area which requires a sleeve of yellow balls that costs five dollars!!!! Really? I just purchased a bucket of balls! I've purchased many buckets there and I'm being charged for tube of balls that I'll return to you when I'm finished? I find that hard to take. I'm sure that they are making a nice bank off of the short game, but they certainly are not spending it on the maintenance of that area as it is a horrid mess. There are many bare spots on the green. Like I stated before, it is a nice facility for hitting balls, but I think I'll find some place else that lets me chip for free. read more

Nice facility but won't return cause of management. For $4 more than their large bucket can play 18 @ nice courses on golf now and these guys too tight to even offer a token nominal senior discount. I drive there little before dusk tonite and informed won't have lights on cause not enough people there. Total nonsense, said screw it and left and now they lost for good a customer -- I'm not going to be rushed to finish before daylight gone when paying too much for their bucket anyway read more

If you live ITP, this is well worth the short drive to Marietta. Driving ranges are few and far between in ATL and this hidden gem has plenty of lanes, cold beer, and you're encapsulated by woods which I found relaxing. I'll be back, no doubt. read more

I go here a lot and it's a pretty nice range. Lots of space. Grass is well maintained. You can hit from a covered area with mats or open grass. There's a nice little short game area with a couple of bunkers to practice from. The only criticism I would have is the putting green needs to be replaced and is a little lumpy. It's a fake turf, which I'm sure was nice at once time and still isn't terrible, but could use some improvement. read more
