What we love about this place, is that they are not about just giving belts and promoting to the next rank.

BUT the bf does. classes are twice a week; every mon & wed from 8pm to 9pm. sometimes the classes may go overtime, depending on the lesson for that evening or if the class started a tad late. the venue is actually called "marietta martial arts". the building holds several types of martial art classes. therefore, if you come in the morning or afternoon, you might see little kids practicing taekwondo or some other fighting style. you start off with nooby level and must go through training and tests before you can advance to the next level. there are NO belts in wingchun. instead, you receive little fabric badges that you can sew onto your shirt. prices range for everyone. there is a trial where you can come and watch OR you can pay to try out the class for a week, I believe? but if you do on plan on taking the class seriously, you sign a "contract" with the payment plan you believe best fits you. the longer you stay, the cheaper it is per month.

Bill and Meghna prepared me and my husband so well for the first class that we got really excited to come try it. The day of, they treated us like we were the only students in there! They are very attentive, detail oriented, extremely patient and absolutely precise. The best part is that they are like this every time, every class, not just the first trial class! The level of dedication they give to each individual person is indeed unique and very rare to find. My husband and I have been having so much fun ever since we set foot in this place! Every instructor is so amazing, they're excellent teachers providing exceptional guidance and they're all extremely careful with everyone, especially if you're new. They have this special way of making each class feel like it's the first class ever and the last one at the same time! It's very special. We highly recommend precision Krav Maga for anyone at any age looking to improve their sense of self empowerment and awareness of your surroundings. Megan with the women's self-defense class is such a sweetheart and she will have you being able to develop such a unique style of managing your daily sense of protection that you will feel very confident and good about yourself! Give it a try and have fun while working out hard core! It's a great place to be at least twice every week. We love everything about each class and our favorite part is the fatigue drill! Make sure you ask about that when you come try out your first time!

This review is for TOCA which operates inside D-Bat…read more Our family has had a mixed experience at TOCA Marietta. When we first joined, sessions started right on the hour and ran smoothly. Over time, though, the start times have drifted -- sometimes beginning 10-15 minutes late and wrapping up early before the next session. It's frustrating not knowing when the actual instruction time begins or ends. Another issue is the inconsistency with the coaching. The coaches seem to rotate frequently, and there doesn't appear to be a clear, consistent curriculum from week to week. Some coaches focus more on warm-ups and running than on skill development, while others (like Odell and Ronaldo) do an excellent job teaching technique and engaging the kids. Unfortunately, we haven't seen them in a while, and switching days hasn't helped us find them again. We've also noticed that while the club doesn't require cleats or shin guards, several kids wear them, which gives them an advantage during drills and scrimmages. It would be helpful if TOCA clarified equipment expectations so all players can participate on an even playing field. Overall, TOCA Marietta has potential -- especially when led by strong coaches -- but the inconsistency in scheduling, coaching style, and structure has made our experience uneven. With more stability and clearer communication, this could be a great program.

This one does seem to be a little busier than the Perimeter location though, so keep in mind you may have to share the batting cages or have to wait on someone if they aren't open to sharing.
