From reading the reviews, many have said that Larry is short with people on the phone. I was kidding to him about that and he just said, "People in the store are more important to me than people on the phone". And that's true. I don't buy new cars or new lawnmowers. I always buy used. About 8 years ago I bought a lawnmower for $70 from MM, and it worked better than my new Husqvarna. I went back after 8 years and bought 2 more used mowers, one for me and one for my GF. One worked great and the other didn't. But he honored his warranty and was very polite. Maybe Larry has mellowed out. He's kind of hard of hearing, so maybe his telephone skills aren't the greatest, but you'll find a different setting when you visit the store. This place is amazing! dropped off my craftsman riding mower for service and they absolutely nailed it I just cut my lawn and it worked great. They give you a hand written work order explaining what was done and I must say it seems they did what they said. For 300$ my machine had both belts replaced,the carb cleaned gas and oil checked spark plugs checked and the pulley holder replaced. Great value and super awesome staff. Thanks y'all. read more

My initial review, his response and my last reply.... Larry is a jerk. I have bought multiple items here and when I called in about a spark coil, he shared his price. I mentioned Amazon had it for 1/3 if the price and before I could ask if that was the best he could do, he said well glad I got you the part number for nothing. Go order it from Amazon and hung up. For a localized business which usually thrives on local relationships, I don't see how that will help. I certainly won't be utilizing this place moving forward. I suggest you don't either. 45 for a Tecumseh spark coil that is $14 on Amazon. RESPONSE TO LARRY Given my inability to reply to your response, I want to set something straight. As you felt justified to send me multiple personal messages on Facebook, I'll reiterate that I'll own cursing at you when I called back to inquire about being hung up on. Given you got loud with me and hung up on me, I shouldn't have let your continued rant drive me to that point. Even when I called back to ask why you hung up on me, you continued to yell into the phone. I'm still unclear how hard it is to understand why you are so bothered with my review? Yelling at me to order at Amazon? Being hung up on? Pricing that is exponentially higher? Take your pick with why I shared a bad review. What you would never know if I wasn't telling you now, is that I would have paid $25 for the part to have it same day. Maybe even $30. Our dealer cost from the distributor is almost three times the price you claim to have found for a comparable, genuine part. We are a service repair business. If one calls and expects our priority customers to wait for us to play sympathy communication with phone calls, you get what you get. And yes, we know that you can find 'deals' out there. I love these guys. They fixed what I thought was a broken Irrepairable mower for $90. I could've spent 500 or $600 on a new one. Or even bought one of theirs that were in the shop for sale. Don't bother with this guy. If you call he won't take the time to answer your questions. He will say I need part model number and part number and then won't give you a second to give him the numbers, he will put you on hold immediately. If I could give 0 stars to this place I would!! I just went there to find a part and I was half way yeld at. I came in and said "hello, how are you?", guys says "you have the part number?!!". I said I did not, but wanted to show him the part (simple filter). He got upset and said, "I'm not arguing with you! we're a repair shop, not a part shop!!". I was unable to get another word out. The guy turned around and acted like I wasn't there. I walked out. I WOULD NEVER, EVER EVER, SPEND 1 PENNY AT THIS PLACE. SO fucking unprofessional and rude!! And I never do this but absolutely need to now. I just got off the phone with Larry, I think, asking about a lawn mower part. I have never encountered a more rude person concerning customer service. I couldn't even get the question out of my mouth because he rudely kept repeating "model number, part number". I tried my best to jump in only to hear "model number, part number" three more times. Then I was told how busy he was and didn't have time for me. I'm sorry but I don't think he was saving a person dying in the operating room so taking 30 seconds to listen to a customer doesn't seem to much to ask for. Larry, again I think that was his name, you just lost a customer over a 30 second phone call. I guess you don't need my business. Maybe you should consider hiring a polite person to handle phone calls from customers trying to give you business and money. read more

I'm behind on writing reviews and this is from last summer. I took my mower to this shop for repair of the pull string, along with a tune-up. Although I don't live in Marietta any longer, I had been to this shop previously, so I went there. The guy told me to check back in a couple days. When I called to see how much the repair would be, he was extremely rude, and acted like he had a line of people in front of him, and wanted off the phone. I thought I was also a customer too, and had driven there from across town for service. He proceeded to tell me my mower was not worth fixing but never gave me a price. I said forget the tune-up and just tell me how much to fix the pull string that starts the mower. He said it's not worth fixing and hung up on me. I was not given a price and will NEVER consider returning to Marietta Mower to have anything serviced. read more
