I was gifted a bag of the mixed cheddar, and it was okay. Granted, I ate it about a week after I received it which may have affected the quality, but there's also no expiration / "best by" date on the packaging. It was essentially soft by the time I had it, and although the cheese tastes came through, it was extremely salty. Wasn't the biggest fan of these. read more

This is high quality gourmet popcorn with unique flavors and I like that they offer lots of savory options. The small bags of popcorn make great gifts. I don't understand why Marigold only has 4 stars instead of 5 - their popcorn is so fresh and delicious! They have a wide array of eclectic flavors (from savory/spicy to sweet) and wow is it good. We're obsessed with the caramel & chocolate. They have such fun flavors though: ghost pepper, dill pickle, churro, even seasonal options like pumpkin spice. They have your traditional flavors and then some unique ones - Nashville hot and dill pickle we're the intriguing ones. Unfortunately they don't offer samples, big bummer there. Best popcorn in Nashville! I've come across different gourmet popcorn spots in my life but not many has had variety and good flavor like this place. Whenever I go to L&L market, I always have to stop by and get a bag. The team there is always nice and are more than happy to give a recommendation. Some of my personal favorites are Churro, Jalapeño Cheddar, and salted caramel. In the new L & L Market shops, you'll find this beautifully bright, clean store operating as Nashville's mecca for popcorn lovers! Every imaginable flavor is neatly displayed before you, tempting shoppers with everything from buttered to Nashville Hot popcorn! The first flavor we tried was the traditional buttered version. Don't expect anything as buttery as movie theater popcorn, but it's sufficiently tasty. I love going to the movies and eating the oversaturated version, but I really enjoyed the subtlety of less butter made by Marigold. Each kernel has been popped to optimal plumpness so you don't get any duds, and you can definitely taste the quality! The other flavor we've tried - so far - is the caramel. Unlike typical caramel corn that contains various nuts, which certainly has its merit, that's not what Marigold is all about. They're in the business of providing pure popcorn with a single flavor. Upon first bite, we were unsure if we would enjoy just popcorn and caramel coating. A few minutes later, we had devoured half the bag, unable to stop eating this unbelievably addictive snack! I can verify that it's every bit as good as Crunch 'n Munch, but I'm a completely different way. Have been a repeat customer for months but after a recent interaction with who I assume is the owner we won't be spending anymore money here. I've probably purchased 20+ bags of their popcorn, some hits, some misses. But recently I purchased 2 of their marshmallow popcorns (a limited flavor for the month). Once I opened it, it tasted stale which I found very odd. I decided to just set it aside and certainly not open the other. I then reached out via email to let them know something was off with the one I received & asked if I could exchange them for something else. I received a defensive response the next day to let me know it isn't stale, it is just the consistency of that flavor. No, it isn't. Told me they could exchange the one that isn't opened, but not the other. It boggles my mind..the lack of customer service over 2 bags of popcorn totaling like $15. Unreal. Stand behind your product. Anyways, the interaction put a terrible taste in my mouth so there's no way I'll be back. Another side note, purchase in store as many of their popcorns look very different than the photos they post online. Usually they only show a particular "flavor loaded" cluster while the rest of the bag is not coated. If you are here: The kettle corn varieties are my favorite. As well as the cheddar. (Hence the stars added) Truly a shame, even if I like a product- if the people who run a place are ignorant, I can't support that. read more

Possibly the best gourmet popcorn I've had, and I've had lots. We stopped by Southern Grist Brewing company when we were driving through Nashville, as you do, and one special they were featuring was a mixed four-pack of their beers with popcorn pairings from Marigold designed to pair perfectly with each beer. The set was $22, and I'm sorry about your luck but I got the last one. All the flavors were incredible (I even enjoyed the IPA and Buffalo Bleu popcorn, and I don't even like buffalo cheese flavoring). The churro popcorn (which was perfectly paired with a Mexican hot chocolate inspired milk stout) tasted just like churros. So good! I would love to see more breweries team up with other cool local businesses for partnerships like this. What a great gift idea, even if the recipient is yourself! read more

I'm not a big popcorn fan... like I eat it but not a lot. However the smell alone inside of Marigold's will turn anyone into a fan. First the store is a beautiful setup. Second they have a lot of options in different types of popcorn and sizes. Third the popcorn is really good! My only complaint is that I wish they had a way to sample the popcorn selection before making a choice. But that's just my curiosity being picky. Oh and if you can get the popcorn warm (that will make it divine). After trying the butter popcorn I'm ready to tackle a different flavor. read more

Worst macaron I have ever eaten. Dry and crumbly. It was awful!!! Flavor was even gross.

If I could give less than one star, I would. I ordered six tins for holiday gifts, to family we had not seen all year, and half of them arrived opened and spilling into the box. The other half were so rich for them, as they are much older. I reached out to Marigold in January about the packaging issue and ask what might be done -- They NEVER responded. There are too many cool popcorn stores -- where things actually taste better anyway -- to allow for lack of customer service like this. read more
