We came to Marigold on a Thursday morning as part of a Mission District food crawl! There was a short line when we arrived, but we got our drinks within about 10 minutes. I tried the honeysuckle latte ($7.75), which was pretty good! I liked the fruity notes from the espresso, and the honeysuckle syrup paired really nicely with it. This was my first time trying honeysuckle syrup, and I really liked that it had a more delicate, subtle floral flavor rather than being overly sweet or perfumey. We also tried the lavender matcha ($7.50). The oat milk somewhat overpowered the matcha, but the lavender syrup stood out to me. It had a noticeable lavender flavor without being too intense, and I liked that it had a more rounded taste. The drinks are definitely a little pricey, especially for the size, but I think the unique flavors make it worth trying if you're in the area. The cafe is connected to/located alongside a flower shop, which makes the space super cute! There isn't any indoor seating, so it's more of a grab-and-go spot. It's been a minute since I've been to Marigold. It just doesn't hit the same and the prices are so high I can't justify it anymore. I get that it is a small business but idk mom and pop shops are still cheaper than here. I also confirmed that they have increased their prices by .50 for basically everything on the menu and I'm pretty sure this is one of the more expensive cafes in the area but not sure why. They have a lot of fancy soaps and stuff now too that you can buy when you walk in too so idk it feels a lil too maximize profit lately and just doesn't make me feel great. Random but I miss the tall barista that left, other ppl complained he didn't have good service but damn he made the matcha and coffee so good I didn't care lol! The new baristas are very sweet and great tho. Overall, it's getting harder and harder to justify buying coffee and matcha here and it feels like the quality hasn't increased or like it's worth it so I'm not really a regular anymore. read more

One of my current favorite coffee shops on rotation. The Honeysuckle Latte (less sweet) is a favorite if you're in the mood for something milky and sweet in the morning, but I'm also a fan of their standard oat milk cap. It's always chill in this part of the city, and that's part of the charm of Marigold. 4.5 stars (ambiance gives it a 5 star) - a hidden gem in the Mission! Stopped by while waiting for El Mil Amores down the street. If the flower shop is closed, go around the side and you'll see an opening for the coffee shop. The interior is small but so charming - there's a few indoor and outdoor tables on the street but the vibe is cozy, lush, and relaxed. The flowers really brighten the space and give you a taste of the quality next door. My friend and I ordered the same drink, Lavender Matcha (mine hot with oat milk) (hers iced with regular milk) - both were delicious and had sufficient matcha flavor (wouldn't have minded stronger but it was well balanced). The lavender was definitely more potent in mine (not sure if it was the temperature of the milk that helped it out). Their drink menu is simple but has special twists, so I look forward to trying others when I return! read more

Was worried that this coffee shop would be just another spot with beautiful interiors/vibes and soso coffee, but that was definitely not the case! Didn't expect their Rose Vanilla Latte to be one of my new favorite lattes in the city! Perfect temperature , silky texture, and sweetness, just hit the spot! They use beans from Heart Roasters based in Portland and make their rose vanilla syrup in house. Funny part was, I was not even going to order this because im not usually a fan of floral syrups as I find them a bit too overpowering, but the barista was so kind to offer a taste of the syrup just to make sure I liked it before ordering it. The shop is even more beautiful then the pictures show. So much natural lighting (especially on the beautiful spring day I visited on), warm interiors, friendly staff, and overall peaceful garden type of vibe. There is no wifi here which I think is nice to encourage just enjoying the beautiful interiors and talking to the kind people in the shop. They also offer a stamp card, which I will be definitely be using, highly recommend this spot! read more

Cute concept! I'm a cafe junkie and appreciate unique, delicious and easy going spots in the city. A friend of mine sent me a video of this spot and was thrilled to see the blend of flowers and coffee! Yummy cappuccino with whole milk (only other option is Oak) and a few Dynamo donuts to pair it with. I was a little disappointed that they didn't have flowers setup in the cafe - huge selling point. But perhaps they didn't arrive until the actual flower shop opens. Some dog treats, water station and limited seating - but a cute parklet out front! The person helping me out was polite but clearly uninterested to engage beyond answering my questions about the store. This place is pure MAGIC. My daughter and I visited for the holiday fair yesterday and it was amazing! The space is so cute -- both inside and outside. It's bright with so many flowers and such a relaxing spot to visit. One of the owners designed a beautiful little bouquet that smells amazing. And I had the best ever latte (iced vanilla rose) and a croissant for my daughter. At the holiday fair, we also bought delicious wine to share with my husband and loved the jewelry, Christmas ornaments, mugs, and more! Now that I know where this is, I can't wait to come back! A cozy, warm and cute neighborhood coffee spot that also sells flowers. Popped in to get a morning drink after a recommendation. I ordered the seasonal, strawberry matcha latte (ice). Please note, their milk is already sweeten so you cannot adjust the sweetness. Unfortunately, the drink was quite disappointing. I ordered the strawberry matcha latte, expecting something fresh and flavorful, especially during peak strawberry season. However, instead of real strawberries, the drink contained strawberry syrup, which felt a bit underwhelming for the $8 price point. I was hoping for a more authentic and high-quality experience for the price. I'll stick to Stonemill. I took away another star for the barista's demeanor. Tucked away in the Mission District is a nice hole in the wall cafe with a nice laid back aesthetic with a flower store right next door The server was nice and fast in making our lattes and felt like they put in the care for each one with intricate designs for latte art I got the rose vanilla bean latte with oat milk, they use Califa oat milk and make their own rose syrup and actual vanilla bean. They do all meld well together, maybe a little too well since it was slightly hard I differentiate the flavors, or didn't necessarily stand out I would come back again to try some of their other offerings and have a relaxing latte outdoors read more

woke up this morning and it was nice, warm, and sunny out. why not go out a grab a coffee right? Let me also preface that i have time today and this will be a longer review. I got an iced Rose Vanilla Latte with oatmilk for about $8.42 i don't quite remember but i payed $16.84 for 2 drinks. I liked it a lot a lot! The rose perfectly compliments the vanilla. My partner got an iced Honeysuckle Latte with oatmilk and it was OK. Loved mine more but he pleasantly enjoyed it. The ambiance was amazing, loved all the colors and flowers everywhere. The male barista however, not friendly at all. And I don't typically care for customer service very often but they were kinda cold and not welcoming while we ordered. Then, when our drinks were ready they didn't say they were ready. My partner and I were chatting a bit and wondered when they'd be ready and so we look over and they were on the counter. Which is totally not a big deal but this was the second thing we noticed about their behavior. We got up, the barista told us which drinks were which and we thanked them but no response. Kinda rude lol. We then got our straws and such and thanked them again as we left and once again.. no response or even a smile. This interaction wasn't all that bad but as someone that enjoys a welcoming positive atmosphere while going to get a treat, I wouldn't come here anytime soon. As much as I did enjoy the coffee and cute decor ( not so much the price of the coffee tho) I don't want to feel like I'm not welcomed and have to pay for that.
