Super packed on a Friday. Got a cappuccino and it was strong. Clean aesthetic, two floors. A section with merch and a flower station (sometimes they do work shops). It's loud enough where you may not be able to hear the full conversation of the table next to you, but the chatter will be there. Bring earplugs if that's an issue.

The space is cool! Able to get flowers in the back of the store. Also wine is available too. Street parking can be tough, but there's some residential parking. Went during weekday morning, at 8:30AM, plenty of tables available. Gets busy with limited tables around 9:30AM. The pastries were quite large and priced well. Of course I got the bowtie pastry ($6) which is a croissant filled with raspberry. I do wished the raspberry was more even spread throughout the croissant. The latte ($6.50) was okay, standard, was not my favorite, the beans or espresso shot tasted bitter. The peach espresso tonic was unique, it had the peach flavor with compliments well with coffee. Luckily, the employees weren't too strict on the 90 minute internet usage. Overall, good place to hangout, coffee can be better.

Finally made it. Great location. Love the comfy and casual vibe. 2 levels, bench and chair seating. They sell branded merch and sell flowers. Friendly staff and efficient service. Love the no frills drink menu. Overall, a solid spot to catch up and enjoy the caffeine.

Really cute cafe and perfect for remote work! Quick wifi, lots of seating, and good working ambiance. Got a decaf cappuccino for $5.50. They do ask you limit laptop time to 90mins. Eyeing the tomato pesto pastry and matcha for next time!

This is a really nice coffee shop in this part of town. There is plenty of space to sit down and eat, or stand and people watch above! I came around noon and most pastries were out but I enjoyed the kouign amann that I ordered. I'm not sure if the make it in house or get it from elsewhere. Their food menu looks nice as well!

Wow, another great addition to West Portal! It was busy on a Saturday mid morning. You order at the cashier and find your own table. It can be a little tricky with a larger party since there are mostly smaller tables and single seat spots. It does seem like a perfect spot to bring your laptop, enjoy a nice cup of coffee/sandwiches, or catch up with friends. We ordered the turkey panini with bacon and the tuna melt open face. Decent sandwiches you can taste the ingredients and they load it up with turkey and tuna. The mocha was yummy and iced americano was decent, with chocolately coffee notes. The interior is beautiful, I believe it used to be the old hardware shop.

Quite a busy cafe on a Saturday afternoon. Although there are plenty of tables, we had a bit of wait to snag one. This cafe offers both beer on tap and your usual coffee. I ordered a lavender iced latte with oat milk. The lavender flavor was almost non-existent and the sweetness was off the charts. The coffee was also too light for my taste, maybe the ice diluted it. The fieldwork beer was refreshing. Place is pretty loud so bring headphones if you're hoping to study unless you like it loud. It was even hard to hear the person sitting across from me. Not a place I'd frequent.

Hardware coffee has such a cute vibe! This place can definitely get busy, so if you're planning to work here, I'd recommend coming earlier to grab a seat. They have free wifi and is a nice place to get some work done. The pastries here are also pretty good but run out early in the day if you come later. I went at 11am and some croissants sold out already. Parking might be difficult here. Otherwise the interior of this place is really cute.

Drip Coffee, chai latte and pastry.

Wife and I stopped by the new Hardware coffee for an afternoon beverage. I got a drip coffee, she tried the chai latte and we shared a pastry. The coffee was tasty if a little pricey ($5). The remodeled interior was well lit with small tables and a counter next to an in store flower business. There was even a second floor with larger 6 person tables. My first reaction when the cafe opened was questioning the need for yet another coffee shop/cafe in our small business corridor. As I looked around and saw customers sitting at most, if not all the tables, I came to the conclusion that this local cafe is bringing a relaxed, spacious sit down vibe different from the existing options: many of which are chains (Peet's, Starbucks etc). I'd be interested to see how the business develops.

Love the ceiling natural light windows and huge space for seating, an upstairs, and a tasteful florist in the back. Ordered a hot matcha latte and salmon toast. Matcha latte - solid - I liked this taste a lot - very strong matcha would get again 9/10 Salmon toast- came with salad but a bit too much dressing would ask for dressing on the side next time. Salmon toast was great! one slice of salmon toast. From taste, serving size, and price= 8.5/10 Lightly encourage rule for laptop time (90min). Would come again with friends.

This is the hottest new-to-me café & cowork spot in SF, and it's not too far of a commute for the win. I was the first of my group to arrive, and I wasn't really feeling more caffeine, so I opted to try some of their foods instead. I got a chia pudding (or possibly overnight oats) from the grab n go cooler and ordered a raspberry bowtie pastry. The staff heated up the pastry for me, so it was just right when I tried it after I snagged an empty chair someone had just vacated upstairs. While I'm not typically a fan of fruit pastries, I actually really dig the raspberry preserves filling in the bowtie pastry. As expected of any café with copious space and fast WiFi, Hardware fills up FAST. However, I didn't have to wait too long to secure a vacant seat and later a table for my group of three. Also worth noting that the A/C is turned up high, so it feels almost as cold inside as outside, making it more conducive for short visits rather than long stays. However, since it's pretty conveniently located for me anyway, I could definitely see myself coming here again.

Tomato pesto croissant with an Americano

The cutest and best work-from-home café I've been to in the city! Hardware Coffee provides comfort, community, and chill vibes in the neighborhood. I came to Hardware Coffee with my coworker on a Wednesday afternoon, and wow, it was packed. That being said, we got lucky and snagged seats upstairs at the counter before moving to a table shortly after. This location is very close to the Muni, making it perfect for commuters. As for parking, street parking has a two-hour limit, so you'll either need to move your car or pay for parking if you plan to stay for a while. When you first walk in, you'll notice the spacious seating both downstairs and upstairs. This kind of real estate is pretty rare in the city, so it was refreshing to see a new option for people looking to work or study. They also offer a handful of pastries at the front. During my visit, I spotted a tomato pesto croissant (which I got and absolutely loved), a ham and cheese croissant, a lemon curd pastry, a kouign-amann, and more. Their menu is on the simpler side, so I wouldn't come here expecting unique or creative lattes. Instead, this is a place for well-executed classics. I ordered an Americano while my coworker got an iced latte. Both drinks were smooth and definitely helped wake us up. As you venture farther into the café, you'll find their flower selection, where you can request a custom bouquet to be made for you. Such a cute touch! Overall, this is a fantastic work-from-home spot thanks to its free Wi-Fi, two bathrooms, abundant seating, and, honestly the most outlets I've ever seen in a café. I would absolutely come back again.

I had specifically ordered from Diosa because of how beautiful and whimsical the floral designs were on their Instagram and their website. I had even paid the extra delivery fee to get this delivered outside their service area because I was happy to support this small business! But what I got was a sad average looking floral arrangement that I could have gotten from a grocery store (see picture). This is certainly not the value of a $135 arrangement that is depicted on their website. Additionally, their website says that they include a hand written card. I wasn't expecting an actual big folded card with envelope, but at the very least I expected it on a blank notecard?I certainly wasn't not expecting the note to be on their business flyer which I find to be a little tactless, considering how I emphasized that these were exciting congratulatory flowers being sent to a professional office when placing my order with them over phone. I even asked if the medium was a good size to send since the large vase arrangement looked really huge on the website. And they assured me that the arrangement would be about 1.5/2 feet tall. As you can see from my photo this was not even 1 foot tall. I would have gladly paid for the large vase arrangement if it meant a more impressive floral arrangement. But sadly I don't think I would have gotten anything better if I ordered the large vase arrangement. I understand that flowers are seasonal and I wasn't going to get exactly what they have on their website. But the arrangement I received isn't even in the same realm of the arrangements on their site and Instagram. I will say their customer service was good and they were able to deliver. But I definitely won't be ordering from here again. Total bummer since I was really hoping to support them again in the future.

The staff was very attentive without being pushy. They then gave me a box to hold the flowers with the vase. There was a cute note on the box saying that if you return it, you'll get a free rose. I honestly thought it would be just a single rose, but when I came back, they surprised me with a large, gorgeous pink rose, along with baby's breath and rose foliage, and all wrapped so nicely. It felt generous and genuinely thoughtful, not performative. The flowers are beautiful, but what stood out to me most was the care and intention behind everything they do.
