Most of the time their food is good. But I got a couple of breaded chicken cutlets that could have doubled as shoe leather.

My brother and I have been coming here for 30 years. Their deli is incredible, you will not find a fresher, tastier, better stocked deli anywhere, including the bigger grocery stores. Their house prepared foods are out of this world delicious. In 30 years they have maintained their extremely high standards and everything is sliced and packaged for you with the utmost care. Their meat department is also exceptional - fresh meats, everything you could want and think of and if you ask for something they immediately package it up for you. I only buy Marino's sausage. As many other reviewers commented, during the pandemic, this was the only place you could find reasonably priced items, frozen vegetables, flour, meat....they have smaller selections of paper products but everything you need, and some wonderful Italian cleaning products that smell wonderful and clean better than Lysol, Mr. Clean, etc.(they have those too though)...I could go on and on. Sometimes you don't really appreciate something until it's gone. That has proven true for Marino Brother's Market. (The store is still there, but I have moved.) Lived around the block and worked here for years. The deli counter has the highest quality meats and tasty salads. The homemade mozzarella is wonderful. And the butchers are top notch, willing to get you any cut, in any amount, for any holiday you require. Everything is over scene by the owner Peter Marino, who can often be found stocking the shelves himself. His dad can still be found packing your bags. The prices are higher then your local Walbaum's, but you get what you pay for. This place has become a true Auburndale institution which has employed local kids (most of my family) for nearly a quarter century now. (God, I'm getting old. The food selection is great ! It has so much variety in the deli selection . The thing I don't like is the attitude of some of the workers in the deli. They are very rude and arrogant . They talk down to people as if they are superior . There's a very rude Spanish guy there that always gives people dirty looks and is not friendly . They honestly made my Christmas brighter with their quality of prosciutto and olives. Prosciutto is a tricky beast over here, even if it all comes from Parma. Met Foods prosciutto often tastes funky, and the new Fairway Market doesn't do the trick either as they slice it too thick. Marino's is fresh, flavorful, and perfectly thin, and cheaper than I expected at only $15 a pound. I was nervous about getting the mixed olives, as I figured that they would be soggy, but the flesh was perfect and still firm, and also fairly priced. Plus all the Italian sweets I grew up with under one roof. Its safe to say that everyone loves a Marino. read more

Every week we do our food shopping here. Since I don't buy a lot of prepackaged food it does tend to be cheaper than Waldbaums, I always save about $50 and they have an impressive produce section. Their meat section is always being restocked with fresh cuts and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The prepared food at the deli is impressive, love their rice balls and the BF loves the heroes. To sum things up, at home we definitely love Marino's read more

Last time I was there was probably in 1989 when I bought semolina bread for my mother in Dallas (Dallas doesn't have Italian bread). Marino's is a nice, local market. I hope to someday revisit Marino's. I just wish the north Texas area had a market like Marino's. I also wish I could buy Italian bread in Dallas. You have to try and buy their garlic green olives. To die for :-) Their marinated mini mozzarella balls are the best too. The twist Italian bread with sesame seeds it the best I have had in years and can only be found there. OMG, why am I giving you all my secrets - lol! I had a party for my son on Saturday so my Mom picked up two six foot heroes (1 American and 1 chicken cutlet) as well as a cold antipasto. Everything was amazing but mostly the hot peppers in the antipasto. Amazing. I highly recommend coming here. read more

I was super disappointed . After reading such great reviews I was looking forward to sending a catered lunch to a few offices for the holidays. But it seems the offices were too small (5-7 people, for the offices mentioned) and they didn't want the business. Um, he didn't even ask what I was looking to order for them (Our orders would of included sides, main course and desert). I was dismissed as too small of an order. Not to mention he only let me tell him two of the five offices I wanted to order for. Thanks for the wonderful customer service sir! This should of been handled differently. read more

I consider this place home. I can shop at BJ's or Costco, but I always have to end up here. You pay a little more but it's worth it because you can find exactly what you need. If you can't find something just ask...they will order it for you. The service is excellent. The deli is stocked with fresh premium foods. At Halloween someone dresses up and gives out candy to the neighborhood children...nice touch. I am always greeted with a smile and a warm hello from the owner and workers alike. read more

Man....what an incredible deli. Everything is fresh. The Italian food is what makes it incredible....although the meats I've gotten there have been great too....definitely a step up from your run of the mill supermarket. But the deli with all the prepped food right to your left when you walk in is out of this world. They have the best variety of fresh grated pecorino and parmasean anywhere. The freshest cold cuts. All the prepped food is good for very reasonable prices. I got an Italian hero last time I was there and I can say it was one of the best I ever had. 5 meats went into it; prosciutto, mortadella, pepperoni, ham, and salami....it was perfect. A 3 foot hero is only 45 bucks....one of these thing can easily feed 6 or 7 people. Lots of fresh home made soups (especially during winter)......and these soups are GOOD. One of the best supermarkets around. Incredible fresh meat, great butcher, wonderful Italian food, great produce and an amazingly large selection. The customer service , and the personal attention to each shopper is unheard of these days. Don't forget to stop at the deli counter,as you walk in with all of the homemade food. Their fresh mozzarella can't be beat, take home some store-made Pasta sauces. there is nothing but wonderful things to say about Marino Brothers Supermarket. although their foods are great, i would really appreciate if they got their web site on board so that i can see their specials at a glance and make a more complete list. they have been putting this site together for years now. they used to have the catering section to view but now that's gone. i am handicapped so knowing a little more of what i am going in for would really help. just recently tried again to see if their website is up and running, glad to say that it is. thank you Marino's. read more
